I drew Sans, Papyrus, and Undyne as infants/ toddlers. They are very fun to draw: I love Undyne's tiny pigtails, Sans's huge eyes, and Papyrus's huge boots.

I will not give any context or elaborate further, to avoid saying too much 😅 (good luck trying to read my handwriting, friends...)

Before the Anger- episode 62, "Again with the Student Party..."

It's been quite a while since there's been an episode in the break room!

Asgore doesn't have to go to the student party, but he chooses to anyway, so your point is kinda weak, Gaster.

Did you notice Gaster's strangely specific hand motions? When he talks, he tends to vaguely sign words in sign language. He said two words in this episode: "cruel" and he started to say "frustrated" but he stopped himself. He hid his hands twice: beginning 3 panels and last 3 panels. Where did this muscle memory come from? Is it deliberate?

((“Hey, Chara?” Asriel started, clearing his throat. His voice was deeper now, not by any physical maturity, but emotional. Chara had changed now, too; her chubby cheeks had now shrunken to show her structure; her body had grown taller, more slender; she had started to look more like a “woman”, but Asriel could never think of Chara as such.))

A small theory/Observations I have for BTA (by: @bri-jo-g)

I personally think that Siquas Former Husband died when their house got burnt down a while back.

During the 80s’ Siqua said that she “took herself way too seriously and that she was embarrassed” Undyne was born around 1985, since the present BTA takes place in 1994. Siqua and Gaster could have easily still been “serious partners in crime” while neglecting their own children.

However, I think that something changed in 1988, right around when Sans was born. Siqua said that her and Gaster stopped soon after Sans was born and That she lost her husband.

Undyne would have been around 3-4 years old. Just when she starts to have a mind of her own. She could have very easily wanted to cook breakfast for her parents—then the house burnt down. Siquas husband could have easily died while protecting Undyne from the flames. After that day, Siqua made it a priority to put undyne above all else and treat her like how a real mother should. It can also explain how snappy she gets at Gaster for neglecting his own kids. Because she has seen how bad it could get. Gasters lack of care could easily have him or his children killed (it didn’t but Siquas reaction is justified)

Also there’s also a scene in BTA where Papyrus almosts burns the house down while Gaster just doesn’t care.

Siqua had the Ability to Change as a Person because something terrible happened to her.

Gaster changed those feelings into a not so happy fact after the massacre

A Halloween special in February? Of course not, this is an archive, remember?

Gaster is surprisingly compliant with such a childish holiday. He even gave the bare minimum!

Costumes: Siqua and Undyne are Lady Doris and Broccoli from one of my favorite comics, Broccoli Soup! For Papyrus, it would have been very easy to put him in his UT fit, but everyone is expecting that. So, he is Goldie from my FNaF AU, Virus Tears. Gaster and Sans are just simple costumes (but peanut is a reference to peanut sans lol)

In this picture, she's showing them how to say "asshole". Papyrus is trying to copy her (success rate... not looking good) and Sans is just watching and learning. Ah yes, such good influences the skeleton brothers have...

This is Grillby IV as she appears in BTA: a teenager. She is sixteen. Technically, this is not her first job, since she helps her dad (Grillby III... It's easier to keep naming heirs "Grillby" than changing the name of the restaurant) at the restaurant. But this is the first one she's being paid for!

All of the Grillbys are proficient in sign language, since fire can't talk. Don't think too hard about that, the Grillbys aren't much more than a bit XD

She's on the surface! Alphys would love a hot sun ! She's a cold blooded creature after all

... Well, she doesn't have blood, but the same rules apply anyway... Somehow?

New animation just dropped!

I wanted to practice lip syncing, so I took a short bit of a song I'm working on and made a little animation! Its very sketchy and unfinished, but "clean" wasn't my goal anyway. This was actually a very helpful practice!

If you know anything about my music (for the majority of you, probably not lol) you might recognise this tune. I like to reuse bits of my music in other songs as a call-back, at least when its in a series or album. In this case, this is Sans's song, but I used some of Nimiee's theme "No Exception" because these two interact a lot in this song. (I'm currently in the process of making theme songs for all of the characters in Before the Anger)

This is nowhere near the final version of the song, by the way! I'm just a very slow composer.

Im still new to animation and, despite producing music for almost 2 years now, have yet to make something that sounds professional lol. I am a trained soprano 1 with a naturally alto-ish range, but I tend to make songs with a higher range. Therefore, this tenor range song is quite a challenge 😅

In this animation, some of the original lyrics change meaning. Near the end of Nimiee's verse, the lyrics change to red, and instead of Toriel being the one to help, it is Asriel. Of course, Sans is his normal pessimistic self. But, instead of calling Nimiee a stupid child- like he usually does- the scene changes to show a mirror. Tsk tsk. Are we projecting, Sans?

Most of the themes so far have two versions; a casual, lighthearted one; and a heavy, sad one. However, I don't think I will be giving Sans a lighthearted version of his song. What will I be doing with these themes? Possibly... a comic dub...?

Before the Anger- episode 61, "What is a God? (pt. 2)"

A new room for the first time in a while! This is the Garden. It isn't really shown off in this episode because its not the main focus, but there will be more detailed scenes in this room later.

How do we feel about how Asgore handled that situation? Was he too dismissive, or just trying to calm her down? Or something else? Its your opinion to make :)

((Asriel prepared himself for the question- something he’s wanted to ask for years, but every time he’d start, Toriel would flash him the look. The look that told him what he was about to say was rude or dangerous or could set Chara off. But Toriel isn’t around, and by now, he and Chara have known each other so long that, in his mind, it was time for his questions to be answered.))

I actually made a height chart forever ago that I use to keep track when making the comics! I never shared it because the art is outdated and some things weren't accurate. I've been meaning to fix it up a little, so thanks for asking!!

The art is still old and some characters have changed a lot since I originally drew them. Toriel was so bad that I just replaced her with the official character sheet drawing lol. But the heights are accurate! At least for now. Of course, the children will get older.

I didn't add any spoiler characters, but Asriel is in there. He never really shows up in the comic itself, mostly in the ((side stories)). But you get him anyways. Consider it a little treat lol

I think that is a very interesting way to describe it- Alphys against the whole underground. Of course, the majority of people aren't just killing for fun. Most resolve to kill only when necessary, its just that they all have their own ideas of what "necessary" means 😅

Stories tend to have a “Man Vs Self”, “Man Vs Nature” narrative. I think that BTA fits that pretty well with Alphys seemingly being the only pacifist in a genocide world

AAAH! Thank you! My main goal in creating is to inspire others or at least get them excited. Sometimes, when I spend as much time as I do on my stories, I think "what's the point?" (Obviously, I don't really mean it. I would still create whether it meant something or not lol) But then I think of the people who read it and I'm like "if my creations give somebody a good time, then hell yeah!"

I hope this is good! My original idea with giving out drawings for asks was to occasionally draw other peoples characters, but strangely this is the first one where I've actually done that lol

Holy shit Gaster, chill. That went from 5 to 100 in just a few panels.

I am very sparse with physical touch in BTA. That's so that when you see characters physically close to each other, it has more meaning. The reason for the meaning in touch is because in this AU, with no magic and a kill-or-be-killed mindset, being close is a huge vulnerability. So, look out for physical touch in my comics :)

Guys!!! Guess what?! New side story starts today! Here you go:

((Chara was sitting on the window sill of the rounded window in Toriel’s home. It was large enough where she could comfortably fit her entire body, like a chair. As she looked out the window, her skirt and hair pooled over the sides of the sill, she almost looked peaceful. But as Asriel got closer, he could see her twitching mouth and her hands clutching her stomach, as always.))

GASP! Poetry!?

I love when people look into my tiny details. Idk if I've said this before, but every pose and dialogue and speech bubble (well, except for some things in the beginning, when I was still figuring things out... Lets ignore those.) The angle of the body tells so much.

One tiny detail, for instance- Chara's signature color is red, yet the clothes Toriel and Asgore give her are green. The complementary color. You may have noticed that when adding red filters, the green dress tends to turn a little. Do with that as you will, I just like to ramble.😈

Hey, look, it's baby Papyrus! From Before the Anger!

He's about one year old, and this picture is when he learns the word "hate".

Guys, the echo flower is a reference to the whole flowey thing in UT. Idk if I'm gonna add that plotline in BTA because idk if it'd work in my timeline... But you get a reference instead! Isn't that just as good...?

We have yet to get to the whole baby Papyrus plot in BTA. It's gonna take a while, unfortunately. That's the downside of having the story slowly unfold... Its slow.
