Ever notice it's always, "these workers striking will hurt the economy," not, "these corporations (which are making record profits) are hurting the economy by exploiting and abusing their workers until the workers refuse to take it anymore."

It's always, "giving raises and benefits and time off to workers will cause inflation," not "CEOs and top execs getting millions in yearly raises and bonuses, and large corporations price-gouging to line shareholder pockets is causing inflation."

As Malcolm X said, "If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing."

It's with a heavy but hopeful heart that I watch Palestinian families fundraiser on here, slowly accumulating the precious little money to go around that they need to survive. However, not everyone is so lucky. A lot of Palestinians that have not had that kind of luck, that did not get early verification, that did not get massive platforms behind them from large bloggers, have approached me in my inbox, asking me kindly to do what I can for them. It kills me that I have so little to give myself, but I've seen this platform collectively raise enough to change someone's life. I've made a list of Palestinian fundraisers that are extremely low on funds, in the hope that drawing attention to people who have not been lucky at all can help turn that luck around. I know most of us can't possibly give enough to get all of these families safe in one go. But please, reblog this list. Pick one or two fundraisers, give what you can, and then keep track of it. Slowly, collectively, we can make a difference in these people's lives. As a bitch with an inherently political identity imma be voting for Kamala Harris this election season.

Additionally 468 motherfucking house seats are up for elections so showing up for that is also helpful.

I understand how hopeless the political climate can feel, and how there have been systems put in place that prevent marginalized people from voting but I urge you try to get out and vote.

P.S. I’m very happy Biden dropped out as I felt genuine dread over the idea of voting for him. The fact that so many politicians are so genuinely shitty sucks and I understand feeling trapped and powerless like even if you vote it won’t do anything but please I think we should at least try.
