The owl house finale aired. I loved it. I didn’t expect Belos to be redeemed and am glad they didn’t do so, I’ve never had to deal with physical abuse but as someone who was emotionally abused by a family member I’m glad to see that despite Belos trying to justify his actions he wasn’t given a second chance, because some people don’t change, not because there incapable but because they refuse to look inward and become a better person, Belos didn’t show remorse when giving excuses he didn’t apologize in any way he merely said “it wasn’t my fault”. I’m glad it established that refusing to give a bad person another chance does not make you a bad person.

The Collector was a character I liked a lot and while I’ve seen some people upset he left at the end I do think that they needed to take a step back, because they caused a lot of harm even if they weren’t aware of it letting people heal before coming back to the boiling isles seems like a good step.

Gus I loved his hair at the end I have mixed feeling about the beard I think it’s a little funny that he and Matt have match chin scruff. Overall I love all the end designs for the characters.

Luz’s titan form was amazing I was sad she didn’t keep any of the titan traits, but I still really like her design at the end .

The representation was great. We’ve got Raeda, Lumity, and some hinting at Alador and Darius. Plus we’ve got all of the characters that fall all over the gender spectrum.

So rewatching Ninjago got curious about Lloyd’s age and I’m not sure what to think.

Physically he’s the same age as nya who was 13-14 at the beginning of the show and who is as of season 16 she’s 16-17 (according to Tommy who is part of the creative team) this means about 3-4 years have passed since season one. Before the events of tomorrows tea Lloyd was ten years old meaning he’s now mentally 13-14 as of season 16. This means tommorows tea theoretically aged him up about 3-4 years. So In summary lloyd is a 13 year old in a sixteen year old body (possibly younger as I’ve seen some people say he’s 8-9 In season 1)

This is worth noting and for me makes it really odd to see romantic plots pursued with Lloyd’s character. Because it’s a strange predicament. I think the only way to fix this would be to have Lloyd's aging stall. So he stops physically aging and let's his mind catch up to his body. (I personally head anon Lloyd as aroace so this isn't a problem for me but something that crossed my mind)

Anyway I've put far to much thought into this children's show, and am now going to go off and be a productive member of society.

Rewatching Ninjago because it was my childhood and also because I solely watch childrens cartoons. I think immq start posting here more mostly talking about media I consume.

One thing I wish was elaborated on in the show was Lloyd being ages up, because it was a really interesting plot event but it's rarely mentioned in canon. I would've lived an episode with Lloyd getting accustomed to his new body maybe he has some power control issues maybe he keeps accidentally knocking things over since he suddenly takes up more space than he's used to.

Kai is a character I really enjoy he's interesting and fun to watch. Kai has his own mini arca in some seasons but in the later seasons there seems to be no focus on him. All the other characters had there own seasons where they were the main character but aside from the first few seasons Kai is mostly regarded as a side character.

if anyone wants me to talk about a specific show/movie just comment about it. The shows I've already watched are She-ra, ATLA, Owl House, Monkie kid, Ninjago, Rise of the tmnt, and dead end. Open to any show recommendations I hope you have a wonderful day.

I’M ????

Listen I can’t explain why, but I prefer animation over all other forms of media and I find I prefer kids cartoons my favorite shows consist of the owl house, Rise of the tmnt, ducktales, Tangled the series, Ninjago, ect. And all the more mature shows I like are still animated it’s so much easier to tell characters apart, like no offense but whenever I watch a marvel movie I can’t tell any of the dudes apart, (except Thor), antman, starlord, tony stark, Hawkeye, they all look the exact same and it drives me insane T-T. Anyway hope you have a good day/night would love some cartoon suggestions.

Spoiler warning onward

Luz Noceda - I love how we got a better look at the Nocedas, it added a lot to Luz’s character as well as her mom. I always liked Luz but we never knew as much about her as I wanted to I wish we would've had the first owl house episode introduce her better, setting up her struggles and family dynamics and giving us a glimpse of her day-to-day life pre-boiling isles. Anyway super happy to see Luz’s character fleshed out.

Willow Park - there wasn't as much of her as I would've liked in this episode but I think that's cause most of her development was done in season one. I liked the brief nod to her and Amities previous dynamic, and enjoyed all of her interactions with Gus. She’s a very stable character strong, kind, and smart she provides a lot of support to the group and it makes sense her and Hunter get along. I hope we get to see her kick ass in season 3.

Gus Potter - My Favorite character continues to be awesome. It was fun seeing how he interacted with the human realm a place he dreamed about visiting throughout the episode it was nice to see all his awe and wonder, and his joy made me happy. Of course it was bittersweet as he was separated from his parents and home. I think he knows Hunter is a grimwalker and that there discussions about the space book were a hint. I loved seeing Gus jump up on the stage stealing the spotlight forever the theatric.

Amity Blight

She didn’t do a bunch again most of her development was finished in season 2, that said she was still fun to watch. I loved her attempt to surprise Luz with the map, and the couple costume they had. She was very supportive when Luz’s secret came out and was just an awesome girlfriend. I liked how awkward she was, she’s very smart but in a whole new world between the library and Duolingos twin I think the show showcased her awkwardness well.

Hunter (last name tbd) - Him and Luz were definitely the focus of this episode which I think was the right call as the others characters arcs have been concluded. I loved all his interactions with Gus and Willow, and the sibling dynamic he has with Luz. seeing him cry at hearing Luz call him family was sweet, and I loved the wolf shirt but. He was a huge dork for a good bit of the episode which I enjoyed, Hunter deserves a chance to be a kid and I love when I get to see his character have moments free of trauma. His possession was fascinating, and I cried when flapjack died, when he threw the key in the lake and almost drowned I got very worried. I’m worried that he may be passively suicidal or just to willing to sacrifice his life for the others seeing how he planned to drown Belos and himself.

Others - Vee was so cute and seeing her was awesome! Camilla is the best mom and I appreciate how quickly she realized that the boiling isles was important to her daughter. Camilla’s dream sequence was great at not only fleshing out her character but explaining what led to her sending Luz to camp.

Just watched Metal Family cause i’d seen a few TikTok’s as it so happens me be my sister watched it the same night also because of TikTok’s she saw and so the next morning we talked about I was like huh wild coincidence.

I was rewatching labrynth runners and noticed something I decided I wanted to share.

Now is this me being nitpicky? 100% no doubt. Anyway as a trans indivisible I noticed the background colors kinda look like the trans flag and thought that was interesting since I headcanon Hunter as trans. (I’m a fan of both transmasc and transfemn Hunter)

anyway I’m not exactly sure how transmac would work in canon with Belos being a 1600s puritan but I still think it’s a really fun idea, and I’ve some transfemm Hunter and think that ideas also pretty neat.

Gus is also here so he may also be joining my trans characters headcanons.

It’s always interesting when you see a fandom that’s fan content is better than the canon, they looked at it and said “good concept but your executions horrible let me take over”

I’m not a part of a lot of these fandoms but I’m just a fascinated, and it’s so cool to see people really improve a concept, and make amazing content. Some examples of these fandoms (pulled from Reddit) are Miraculous Ladybug, Harry Potter, Merlin, Danny phantom (apparently), ect. I haven’t been in most of these fandoms spheres but Harry Potter just falls apart when you notice things like the antisemitism, Dumbledore supposedly being a good guy, Snape having a promising redemption in theory but the execution being poor as hell.

If you guys can give me more examples that’d be cool anyway just a rant hope y’all have a good day.
