☀️Sun water☀️
Protection, healing (especially physical), happiness, truth, clairvoyance, courage, strength, prosperity, luck, self-love, cleansing, confidence, leadership, justice, gardening, growth, warmth, comfort, fertility, and creativity
Leave the water on a sunny windowsill or outside, preferably in direct sunlight. Sunrise, 9 am, 12 pm, and 3 pm are perfect times for this, or you can leave it from sunrise to sunset. You can also add herbs and flowers to it as well (lemon peels, orange peels, marigolds, chamomile, cinnamon, sunflower, etc.) Or charge it with some stones (like sunstone, orange calcite, citrine, tigers eye, goldstone or carnelian), but please don’t put these stones in the water. You can also make a sun tea with sun water for a very potent solar spell.
🍓❤☀️Summer of Love Strawberry spell☀️❤🍓
A tasty snack, and spell, to bring you love this summer.
What you need:
🍓Strawberries- love (all types), happiness, summer magic (this spell also works with strawberry ice cream)
💎Sugar-love, sweetness, attraction
🍂Cinnamon- love, warmth, sun magic
☀️A sunny spot, especially outside
What to do:
🍓Get as many strawberries as you’d like
🍓Mix the sugar with a dash or 2 of cinnamon
🍓go sit in your sunny spot and feel the suns warmth
🍓say “this summer, is the summer of love”
🍓dip the strawberries in the cinnamon sugar. And as you do, focus on intent and the type of love you want in you life. Feel the sunshine manifesting the energy with you as you eat.
🍓when you finish eating the spell is done! Enjoy!
REPEAT AFTER ME!☺🌱💛
I’ve written a post about connecting with human spirits, but now I would like to focus on finding and calling to non-human spirits. This is not a guide for deities, because the way you approach and worship different gods from different pantheons ranges so much. As a Hellenic Polytheist, I know for a fact I couldn’t tell you what you need to know for every open culture. If you’re looking for that kind of post, check religious blogs!
For this post, I will not focus on malevolent OR good-natured entities. This will be primarily about all entities as a whole, and how you decide to use this guide is up to you, not me. Towards the end i will provide some basic information about finding negative entities in particular, for those of you who are curious or are looking to come into contact with one. However, I don’t recommend it. This is purely educational, and if you make a dumb decision, that’s on you.
You can explore your surroundings in the astral realm to find spirits, communicate with them, and build relationships. This is probably the most direct and least expensive and physical method for contacting entities. You can read more on astral travel on many blogs, including my own. Once you have a firm grasp on that, you can begin to actually seek them out and such. Here are my tips:
If you’re looking for particular spirits, find out where they are generally spotted. For fae, you may check the forest. For naiads, you could try the ocean. For death-related spirits, like psychopomp, hospitals and cemeteries may be your best bet. Honestly, wherever you think they’re likely to be, check. To travel to these places, I suggest:
Learning where the nearest place is to you, or where the place you want to travel to is
Finding a taglock for that place and holding it while you project
Practice going to this place purely for the sake of seeing it, in the astral sense
Use doorways you create (and close when you’re done) to quickly get there
Once you learn how to do the above, you can search for and communicate with any entities that are there. Always be prepared to be ignored, attacked, or tricked. Spirits can be a bit iffy. Don’t get upset if it doesn’t work out at first.
You can continue seeing these spirits you meet by setting up times to see one another, or making plans for them to come to you. Be sure you are talking to the spirit you are wanting to, as many spirits can and do trick people. There are spells you can cast for an allseeing eye, so you will be able to determine if they are disguising themselves in anyway.
I recommend doing this for a month before inviting them into your space. This prevents you rushing into things with spirits you know nothing about.
If you struggle with using the astral realm as a method of contact, you can try physically locating entities. This is a bit tricky sometimes, as you’ll have to rely on divination for a majority of the time, until you can begin communicating with them through a telepathic link. I would wait to establish this link until you feel comfortable doing so, because it can lead to the spirit being with you pretty often. I would do a spirit vessel before this in most cases.
When you are physically going to a location, protection is vital. You’ll need to make sure nothing can follow you home if you don’t want them too, or attach themselves to your body. A simple way to do this is to bathe with a mix of gem elixir (clear quartz) and moon water. Add any herbs you know are safe and have is liar correspondences as well, I use lavender oil and mint leaves. This helps ward your body and cleanse it, as well ad your aura.
To communicate, bring a tool for divination. Runes, tarot cards, Scrying mirrors, etc all work well. Some people use ouija boards, but it is not necessary. Whatever you feel is cost accurate for you is perfect.
Begin asking questions such as:
What kind of spirit are you? (let them tell you what they are. Do not say “are you a ____?” because they could easily put on a mask and pretend to be exactly who you want to talk to.)
Are you interested in communicating with me on a regular basis?
What is your alignment? (Malevolent, neutral, good-natured, etc)
Where are you from?
When are you from?
How did you come to be?
Etc
Basically, communicate like you are meeting someone for the first time. Because you are. Be considerate, vocal, and kind. Don’t rush headlong into questions, start by talking about why you’re here, and maybe give them a nickname of yours if you aren’t comfortable sharing your real one. Have a nice chat, and try to make them comfortable with you. First impressions are important.
If after a while of meeting them in this location you want to bring them home, tell them so. You can begin discussing the possibility of making them a vessel, and maybe binding them to it if they are interested at all. I have posts about that on my blog as well.
These are for animals, plants, and earthen spirits. You can communicate with these types of spirits using their physical trigger objects, in this case, parts of their nonmetaphysical bodies.
Bones can be used with the permission of the spirit to contact them and be used as a vessel for them if that is what they want. Do not disturb these bones without asking first. Don’t even touch them. The very first thing you really need to do, before you even think about talking to any spirits, is to find out what kind of bones they are (which animal they belong to) and if you are even legally allowed to possess them. It is a big deal to mess with things like that, especially if they belong to an endangered or threatened species.
After that, you can communicate as directed with the location based spirit calling. It’s fairly simple and direct from then on.
What’s already around you? Do some divination and find out. Chances are, there is at least one nonhuman spirit nearby. See about contacting them if you don’t feel like they are dangerous, and always stay protected. Use whatever form of divination you wish, and keep up the communication to build a bond.
I told you I would put in a bit about this. You can’t say I haven’t warned you: negative entities are fully capable of causing harm on a sliding scale. Some can cause death. Some can cause injury. And some of them just like to screw with your head. If you aren’t prepared for this, don’t mess with them. Don’t call to a spirit if you can’t handle them. It’s as simple as that.
On the other hand, working with malevolent creatures can have its rewards. You can send them to people as curses, with their full consent and desire. You can learn things from them. You can do lots of things with them present, bit sometimes the risk outweighs the benefits. Be cautious, whatever you do. Here is a list of places I have come to discover are the breeding grounds for these entities:
Places where extreme violence has occurred
Places where death (especially violent or tragic death) has occurred
Places where mass amounts of death has occurred
Places where negative energy has been accumulated
Places that have been cursed
Abandoned, decaying, and destroyed places
Places where natural disasters have caused negative emotions en mass
Places where evil intent or thought has been carried out (sites for murders, homes of serial killers, etc)
Old buildings where underground crime has taken place
Places where malevolent humans lived
Of course, there are plenty more places where these entities thrive, including cemeteries (due to the large amount of death and sadness associated with it) and hospitals (for the same reason). To make contact, you can follow the rest of this guide, but with a ton of protection. Never invite anything home with you from these places if you get a really negative vibe, especially not the first time you meet them. If after a while you make the decision to do this, be cautious.
Abstract Meditation
This is very good meditation to strengthen your energy work.
Achieve a meditative state.
Keeping your eyes closed, concentrate on the emptiness in front of you. Using your mind’s eye, create a small ball of white light in front of you, about the size of a golf ball. Concentrate on it for a moment. Rotate it around in front of you. Try to make it brighter, brighter still. Make it feel so bright it makes you feel warm. Now dim it, dim it to where it was initially. Keep dimming it. Make it as dim as you can without extinguishing it. Feel it cool as you extinguish it.
Now, make it brighter, as bright as when you started. Concentrate on you light again. Now grow your light, make it larger. Make it the size of an orange. Now the size of a beach ball. See how large you can make it. Now bring it back down slowly to golf ball size. Continue slowly to shrink it down, down to the size of grape. Now bring it down to the size of pea. Get it down to the size of pin prick.
Slowly, bring it back to the size of golf ball. Now concentrate on its color. Try and shift the color–first to red, then orange. Next try yellow and green, followed by blue and purple. Change it back to white. Grow it a little, back to the size of orange. Now try to create swirls of red within the white. Now, keep adding colors–orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple–until your ball of light is a swirling rainbow. Now bring the ball back to white.
Take the ball and begin to it until you have long line of light. Take one end of light an flick so it sends a wave traveling down the line. Continue flicking it, sending waves down the line, until you have created a sine-wave type pattern. Stop flicking, and slowly watch as the sine wave dissipates. Now take one end of your line and begin to spin so that you line forms spring like coil. Stop spinning and allow it form back into a line. Take one end of your line and begin to twirl it in a circle until you line forms a spiral in front of you. Watch the spiral turn. Now pull your line until it is straights again.
Take each end of your line and pull them up until your line is now circle of light. Try to shift it into a triangle. Now try a square. Stretch it a little into a rectangle. Now back to a square. Shift it again, this time into hexagon. Now try turning it a star. Shift it again into a crescent moon. Now back to circle.
Take the circle and begin to shrink it down. Keep shrinking the circle until it is your original ball of light. Now slowly dim the ball until it is extinguished. Now, begin to leave you meditative state.

I’ve noticed lately that a lot of witches think that being a solar witch is being happy, “sunny”, bright, etc. They think of the sun and they end it right there, of summer days and red skin and freckles. They aren’t wrong. Being a solar witch is that.
But.
Being a solar witch can be so much more. Our time of power doesn’t end when the sun goes down. The fact is, the sun is a star. And so many solar witches look up at the stars at night and feel a surge of power, a different kind, but power nonetheless. I’m not talking about past lives from other stars, although that may also be a contributor. I’m talking about how being a solar witch, truly, means being a star witch.
Solar witches feed off of the light of a billion stars, feel the cosmic winds from a billion suns.
We have power at night, too. Don’t forget that.
The sun is my boyfriend and I strive to make sure he gives me the D every day because vitamin D is essential to my daily wellbeing! 🌅🌻💚

☀️Frankincense is literally sunshine as a scent☀️
Cinnamon
Hibiscus
Juniper berries (small amount) (can be substituted with red currant berries)
Orange and lemon peel
Saffron
Honey
Essential oil free!
1. A sudden burst of sunlight, as through broken clouds
I just made my batch for this winter and I thought I'd share this recipe with you!
Good for: Physical Healing, Protection, Divination, Happiness, Love, Creativity, Prophesy, Truth, Solar Deities
Medically: cools and softens skin, helps heal small cuts, burns, irritations, SAD, breaking fever, purifying, anti bacterial, helps relieve anxiety and depression
Grapeseed or sunflower oil
Dried hibiscus
Dried juniper berries
Dried Bay leaves
Dried citrus peel
Dried dandelion root
Rosemary
A cinnamon stick
If you want to add essential oils you can, I didnt for this batch but In the past I've used frankincense, lemon, orange, cinnamon, vetiver, black pepper, sandalwood, and juniper
Best to grind the ingredients before adding them to the oil (except the cinnamon stick)
Makes a great offering for any solar deity like apollo, sol, helios, sekhmet
Let infuse in the sunshine for a few weeks-months depending on how much oil you're making, or if you want it faster & stronger you can heat it up until it turns red from the hibiscus
It smells so good so it's an excellent natural perfume, and it's great for your skin!
I tend to go heavy on the hibiscus and juniper in this but the amounts used are up to you.
Crystal infusions: citrine, garnet, carnelian

🍋☀️Winter Sun Lemon Tea☀️🍋
I wanted to make a winter lemonade recipe but then I realized most people dont live in a sub-tropical environment and are freezing cold. So i changed it to a warm lemon tea instead. Even though technically its warm lemonade. It makes 1 cup! 🌟
It's perfect for the winter because yule/winter solstice is a time to focus on solar energies, warmth, and happiness☀️🎄
to bring warmth, happiness, love, cleansing, protection, positivity, and friendship
To purify, anti-bacterial, immune boost, anti-nausea, digestion aid, vitamin C, helps with SAD
1 lemon
Half a teaspoon of any of the following: juniper berries, rosemary, chamomile, mint, rose, hibiscus, dandelion, cinnamon, other citrus or berries (this is a list of possibilities not nessisary items, so dont worry if you only have 1 or 2 of these, they all combine well so you can get creative with the combos!) My personal favorite combo is lemon tea with chamomile, juniper, rose, hibiscus, and a fresh spring of rosemary from my garden. Sometimes I add a little cinnamon to give it an extra warm kick
Hot water
Honey or sugar to sweeten
Your favorite mug
Drink whenever you need a mood boost, cleansing, warmth, etc.
Enjoy it DURING the winter solstice/yule to connect with the days' energies
Share it with a friend, family member, or partner to help bring a closer bond, love, and positive energy
I like to drink mine while holding my favorite citrine or yellow crystal
Because of the strong flavors, I wouldnt let it brew for longer than 10 minutes unless you're sure youd like the strong taste
Use as much of the lemon as you can but I like to just squeeze the halves till it's all juice and then I might add a slice or 2 I saved after
Hi! I’m a beginner in sun witchcraft and I’m excited to begin my craft but I’ve been looking for banishing spells that could be tied to sun witchcraft and I haven’t found any. Got any ideas? Ty ty 🤍💫
TONS OF IDEAS!! Keep in mind my craft is 100% intuition and energy so these may not be traditional.
🌵cactus- they're extremely helpful with banishing and warding because of their needles!
🌶peppers!- I'm not a huge fan of spicy I wont lie, but peppers of all kinds are very helpful for banishing. I use black pepper because I like it sooo much more than regular peppers. They correspond with the sun & fire.
💥spices- cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and any spicy or warm spice is good for banishment and correspond with sun magic. Cinnamon is my favorite one.
🌼other herbs/plants- dandelion, bay leaves, marijuana, frankincense, juniper
☀️anything that symbolizes a blinding sun or a sun that's too bright to bear, anything scorching for powerful banishment, this can be as simple as letting your ingredients sit in direct sunlight at noon until they're very warm
🌅 sunset and noon- are a good time for banishment
🌻 sunflower and sunflower seeds- I correspond with protection
💎mirror and crystals- mirrors and Crystal's like carnelian, goldstone, sunstone, and pyrite are all good for banishment
💛sun salts, red salts, or black salt
🏹🗡bows and arrows, swords
🌵aloe for more gentle banishment
🏜 desert imagery, desert sand, etc.
⚫the dark side- the sun can be warm, loving, life-giving, and positive but it can also be harsh, relentless, drying, blinding, and can also be associated with war. So embrace the "dark side" of the sun
☀️For a sun witch banishment spell I would personally use:
A jar
Black pepper
Cinnamon
Bay leaves
Juniper
Cloves
Sunflower seeds
A few cuctus needles
A peice of pyrite
Blood -personally I like to use blood in my craft (blood witch & phlebotomist), but this is 100% optional and if you chose to use blood please be safe!
Red salt or sun salt
And then let it charge at noon to sunset in a place where the sunlight feels very warm and blinding/harsh
I hope this helps sunflower!!!🌻😘
uplifting sunshine brew🌻
this is a simple tea brew to boost your energies and sweeten your mood, with help from our darling sun! could also be a way of connecting with the sun if there are clouds or winter time ♡
ingredients:
☀️ sun water (happiness, strength)
☀️ earl gray tea (protection, love, luck)
☀️ dried lemon peels (uplifting, happiness)
☀️ honey (love, to sweeten the outcome)
steps:
1. mix the earl gray with lemon peels and brew your tea
2. add the honey and stir it clockwise while repeating:
“may i shine like the sun, and through this brew, let this power flow through me, and so mote it be!”
4. imagine the cup to be filled with sunbeams as you drink it!
tip: if you do not have access to dried lemon peals, you can use already prepped lemon earl gray! ♡
Protection requires a good defense, an untouchable one. For those of us who don’t like to be touched or gazed at, it can be especially challenging because people often overstep our boundaries without realizing it. It can be even more difficult to bring it to the person’s attention. It’s better to have a defense already in place, should someone attempt to come too close.
Thorns: this can be simulated with anything sharp; tacks, pins, nails, etc.
Fire: a candle, white or red is fine.
Paper and a writing utensil: make sure you have a small enough paper you feel comfortable burning.
Container: something to put the burning paper in so you won’t burn yourself.
Location: indoors after the sun has set.
- Take your “thorns” and arrange them in a circle, pointed ends pointed outwards (this part is extremely important, your intent is to project this spell out away from you, not inward).
- In the middle of the thorn circle, put your candle and light it
- Place your fire-proof bowl or container in a place you can easily reach.
- Take your paper and draw your intent on it. This can mean a phrase such as “keep away from me” or just random scribbles. It doesn’t matter as long as it has the intent to keep people out of your personal space.
- Fold up and burn the paper over the candle.
- Chant either in your head or out loud:
“I’ve bloomed alone, and under thorns I wait,
For as long as I need to be.
Those who intrude upon my space,
Cannot lay a finger on me.”
- Place the burning paper in the fire-proof container, make sure it burns down to ashes
- Dispose of the ashes
- Breathe a sigh of relief, and feel accomplished in the fact you’ve taken your comfort and security into your own hands!

I am a solar witch by nature, and I feel like a lot of people don’t understand the protection the sun gives us. The sun is the most dynamic and powerful energy source known to us, hands down. All cosmic light comes from her. Yes, even the moon gets its light from the sun, though most people, myself included, consider the moon a separate entity. I’ve never been attacked or had any negative energy dare come near me in full sunlight. She is powerful and she does not leave.
So, instead of disappearing at night, she simply goes into another form. This is the time solar energy transforms from the singular yellow sun to the more cosmic power of the stars. This is the time when the colder fire of the universe is visible. Starlight is the most mysterious part of solar magick, one that’s softer and comforting, yet incomprehensible.
⭐️ The more stars you can see, the more powerful your spells!
⭐️ If it’s the time of year a certain constellation is visible, you can focus on spells regarding that zodiac or deity
⭐️ August is one of the best months for meteor showers
⭐️ Star water is a thing! It can be affected by whatever constellation you set it under as well
⭐️ Individual stars can also have different spells attached to them (i.e. the morning star, the north star, etc)
⭐️ All crystals are safe to charge under starlight
⭐️ Secret magick
⭐️ Cerebral magick
⭐️ Questions about other beings or entities
⭐️ Divination
⭐️ Spells about our purpose as a being on this plane of existence
⭐️ Spells about our purpose as a being on the next plane of existence
⭐️ Spells for a peaceful sleep or recovery
⭐️ Spells to recharge your astral power or energy sink
⭐️ Spells about dreams or spells trying to induce lucid dreaming
⭐️ Spells for contacting those who are no longer with us
