Actually, in French, which is the original language, Hawk Moth (or Le Papillon) doesn't say 'Dark wings rise'. Instead, he says 'Noroo, transform me', just like the other heroes! The modified it when it was translated into English.
So like,,, I kinda just gotta talk some stuff out
First of all I find it… intriguing? That at least three of the miraculouses are gender coded (earrings, haircomb, necklace) like don’t get me wrong I am actively campaigning for the abolishment of the gender binary but that’s not what I’d expect from a kid’s show (the abolishment, not the gendering)
Now so we know the miraculouses aren’t exactly a one to one senario here. The same miraculous can be shared between two people with very little time span between (wayzz/carapace), and the same person could wield two different miraculouses (alya would have gotten the bee, when she already has had the fox multiple times) Now, does a holder have to renounce the kwami, or just take off the jewelry? Renouncing doesn’t take much time or have any consequences. We know Gabriel suspected Adrian because of his ring, so could either simply taking off the jewelry or renouncing the kwami be a relatively easy way to hide a miraculous? Granted, for someone like marinette this would be far too much trouble to go through, since plain black stud earrings are quite common. But adrien’s ring, which is rather bulky and distinctive? Or the fox necklace, or the bee haircomb? For Nino, the bracelet is pretty inconspicuous, and fits in with his look, but the others are relatively,, rare, especially now that the world knows at least somewhat what a miraculous is, thanks to chloe. I get that for someone like hawkmoth, wherein the miraculous notifies him when someone could be akumatized, this would be inconvenient, but for the heros, whose tell is less a flashing miraculous and more a literal akuma? It’s not even as if the kwamis have some sort of akuma intuition…
Side note, I lowkey hate the fact that hawkmoth’s miraculous comes with an alert. What are its criteria? Will it do the same person more than once? If no, then transformed heros count as separate from their civilian counterparts, right? Would it do this if it were being used for good? Does the good version of the moth miraculous have an emotion requirement? Every other time someone gets a miraculous the kwami has to tell them the key phrase to transform, but “dark wings rise” seems pretty specifically evil (side side note: WHAT IS THE OPPOSITE OF LET’S POUNCE). And if all the miraculouses are intended to be good, they seem a little op to just fight normal crime (granted I do like to call ladybug basically spiderman but like,,, cataclysm? Thats,,, kinda overkill if we’re talking like a bank robbery or something). Aditionally, if the moth was intended to be good, why would ladybug have the power to purify akumas? I can see the need to stop like,, a kind of reverse stoneheart where you just have evryone as copies of the origubal hero, but it generally feels like the moth miraculous should contain the power to purify the akumas, not an entirely other hero. Additionally, the moth is,,, really op, even by miraculous standards. A superhero of your choice? Just like that? Designed to benefit you? Hawkmoth should have the same 5 minute count down everyone else has, so he’s gotta detransform and feed nooroo sometime between akumatization and deakumatization, yet he still maintains the connection to the akumatized villains. There’s conceivably no limit to his rein. Granted it’s unclear who decides the akuma power set, but still. Give him five minutes and he’s duplicated the entire miraculous team (for good or evil). It’s.. kind of a waste to make so many unless you expect some of them to “fall into the wrong hands)
Anyway, the point of this was how multiple miraculouses would work (ei, say marinette managed to hold onto the bee, but gave it to herself because no one was left) - does the costume change? Does the order matter? Do the powers just stack or do they combine into one combo power? Does the time limit change?
There’s just… a lot of unanswered questions floating around in my head
Basically the Victorian equivalent of: "Would you like me if I were a worm?" 😂😂
I genuinely need to know what the non gay explanation for this part of Valley of Fear is, like what does he MEAN
[text: It was late that night when Holmes returned from his solitary excursion. We slept in a double-bedded room, which was the best that the little country inn could do for us. I was already asleep when I was partly awakened by his entrance.
"Well, Holmes," I murmured, "have you found anything out?"
He stood beside me in silence, his candle in his hand. Then the tall, lean figure inclined towards me. "I say, Watson," he whispered, "would you be afraid to sleep in the same room with a lunatic, a man with softening of the brain, an idiot whose mind has lost its grip?"
"Not in the least," I answered in astonishment.
"Ah, that's lucky," he said, and not another word would he utter that night.]
Actually, I think Nathalie is the sentimonster. Just think about it, it males soo much sense!: she is always trying to protect the Agrestes at any cost.
So that whole sentimonster free will thing was kinda weird and out of the blue.
What if…
What if the reason Gabriel and Emilie were so protective of Adrien is because the real Adrien died and so Emilie created a sentimonster Adrien. We know for sure now that she used to wield the peacock miraculous, after all.
What if Adrien is a sentimonster?

Holmes: I think the murders were done by poison. This poison burned on this lamp. The poison and lamp I have here, now.
Watson: Cool but you're not going to light that deadly poison on that lamp here, right? Because that would be insane.
Holmes:
Watson:
Holmes:

Holmes: You can leave
Watson, sighing, getting out of his chair: Let me at least open a window...
Holmes, already lighting the deadly poison: Bet.
