A collection of drawings for The Archive Undying.
In the corner, there are two busts of Sunai. The first cocks his head inquisitively - "new haircut!" The second hunches over in despair - "not gay enough..."
To the right, Sunai and Veyadi tread water. "I hate this," Veyadi says miserably. Sunai, lurking up to his eyes in the water, replies mildly, "Could be worse. There could be sharks."
Below and to the left, a colored drawing of Sunai running away with lyrics to Flight of the Crows. "In the morning you'll find I disappeared off into the night so quietly / that your love for me / will vanish too!" Sunai looks over his smile with a sheepish smile.
Finally, a comic. Sunai, holding groceries and wearing a baseball cap, knocks on Veyadi's door with his foot. Veyadi answers, wearing only a towel. "Delivery," says Sunai. "For who?" "Didn't ask." "If you killed the courier, you can't come in." Sunai smiles sweetly at Veyadi for a long moment. Veyadi sighs and lets him inside.

He doesn't sleep. As a shadow in the murky morning light, he buys a chicken and coop from the motorboat uncle.
"It smells,” says Veyadi as Sunai fits the chicken coop onto the end of his bunk nearest the door.
"And she's loud,” says Sunai. “Built-in alarm."

"But look, protein!” says Sunai, presenting an egg.
"Yeah, okay.” Veyadi manhandles Sunai up onto the bunk. At a loss, Sunai holds the egg out of the way as Veyadi removes his boot to properly wrap his ankle.

“It's like he wants to die,” Sunai mutters to the chicken.
“No one ever said anything about killing Doc, jeez," says Jin from the doorway. "Hey, what do I need to do for dibs on tomorrow's egg?"
If Jin wants an egg, they should stop sidling up to Veyadi and leaning on his shoulder. Alternatively, they could surrender the butterfly knife in their left boot.

Instead Sunai offers tomorrow's egg to Imaru, who says, “Is this a bribe?” To which Sunai asks, “Is it working?”
It isn't. Imaru gives Veyadi the same icy look every time they share a field of vision.

Oyu, you find more difficult. You corner them with a live chicken when they pass through the Carp's kitchen to pick up rations for their squad, who have patrolled the streets of Jasmine to guide misbehaving tourists back to Orchid, and to keep the Harbor's hands off the locals. You tuck the chicken into their arms as you gather their food. Oyu recognizes this as provocation but does not know how to respond, so they must accept your questions with wary stoicism as the chicken mutters suspiciously in their grasp.

Oyu looks about ready to throw the chicken at you, or to put a knife in your foot.
"Alternatively, you go and take better care of them.” You take the chicken from them because you do not think it deserves to be the medium of their angst. "It's that or let me run them into the ground."
