I think every computer user needs to read this because holy fucking shit this is fucking horrible.
So Windows has a new feature incoming called Recall where your computer will first, monitor everything you do with screenshots every couple of seconds and "process that" with an AI.
Hey, errrr, fuck no? This isn't merely because AI is really energy intensive to the point that it causes environmental damage. This is because it's basically surveilling what you are doing on your fucking desktop.
This AI is not going to be on your desktop, like all AI, it's going to be done on another server, "in the cloud" to be precise, so all those data and screenshot? They're going to go off to Microsoft. Microsoft are going to be monitoring what you do on your own computer.
Now of course Microsoft are going to be all "oooh, it's okay, we'll keep your data safe". They won't. Let me just remind you that evidence given over from Facebook has been used to prosecute a mother and daughter for an "illegal abortion", Microsoft will likely do the same.
And before someone goes "durrr, nuthin' to fear, nuthin to hide", let me remind you that you can be doing completely legal and righteous acts and still have the police on your arse. Are you an activist? Don't even need to be a hackivist, you can just be very vocal about something concerning and have the fucking police on your arse. They did this with environmental protesters in the UK. The culture war against transgender people looks likely to be heading in a direction wherein people looking for information on transgender people or help transitioning will be tracked down too. You have plenty to hide from the government, including your opinions and ideas.
Again, look into backing up your shit and switching to Linux Mint or Ubuntu to get away from Microsoft doing this shit.

So. I have two active bank accounts (that I just decided to switch off of because wtf). Some of you may be familiar with my main bank fucking me over regarding my credit card payments. You guys helped me with that and I'll never stop being grateful over it.
The other bank account I only use in order to pay for public transportation. And these motherfuckers suddenly decided that in fucking 2022 I supposedly hired an insurance service I NEVER FUCKING HIRED and they reatroactively charged me for it not once, not twice, not thrice!!!! BUT FOUR TIMES!!!!!! Despite me trying now for a second time to 1) get me off that shit because I never signed up for it, and 2) demanding my money back.
I'm out of funds for transportation and I work at the other side of Chile's biggest city. I was already tight (more like short) on funds for the remainder of the month. Now I simply cannot afford to go to and from work as things are.
I really, really am so embarrassed to ask for help again but I have no other options right now. Please, anything helps.

I need HELP
I feel unsafe in my own home, not sure if or when it's all going to be taken away from me after threats made by my father. who's decided to pull the rug out from under my whole family, we're fighting how we can, but i want to get out of all this. We're trying to hopefully handle this with legal means, stops his threats in it's tracks, but my living situation feels deeply unsafe and it feels like I'll need to back up everything and run any day now, my sleeps been a mess, and I've been a mess of anxiety while this all goes on. the support has been helping me get some piece of mind, but i'm REALLY looking to ge the hell out of all of this drama that's been my life and ge tas far away from that man as possible. he's hurt me throughout my life and I'm so tired of it, I just want to move away, do something else. start my own life without this looming shadow over it. you've all supported a ton, and I'm beyond greatful. you've spread the word, and it's been wonderful for keeping me safe in the moment, but any further support will be actively put towards me getting the fuck out. if everyone who saw this donated a single dollar, i'd be practically half way to my goal,

Actually I need your help to donate for my mother's treatment, as my mother suffers from blood clots in her foot and cartilage in her back and neck and needs treatment and needs a bed and a medical mattress. This happened in July 2024. We noticed her tiredness and she went to the hospital. This was due to displacement and walking a lot due to lack of transportation. The doctor wanted her to rest. Please help us. I will never forget your kindness.

I'm getting increasingly frustrated at the fact that I have not seen anybody on here. talk about the state of transgender rights in the state of Iowa. Our governor, Kim Reynolds, has signed a law that removes transgender and non-binary people's civil rights that protect them from being discriminated against when it comes to housing, education, and employment.
Iowa has become the first state to approve this legislation that prevents transgender and non-binary people from being protected under the state's civil rights code. This law, effective July 1st, is all under the guise of protecting people assigned female at birth; keeping transgender people out of bathrooms and locker rooms.
It's aim? To create explicit legal definitions of what it means to be male and female solely based on reproductive organs, which in turn denies that an individual can transition to another gender.
Where is everybody's outrage? Where is the support for trans and non-binary people's lives and rights in a Red state? Where is your fucking compassion for us? I've had it with people living comfortably and cozy in their own worlds, not seeing outside their fucking bubbles and not supporting the rest of their community as our rights crumble right before our eyes.

Traditionally, all those who have sacrificed themselves to temporarily purify the sword's madness have been consumed by it and died horrifically; she is not expected to fare differently.
