After more than a month of disconnection, we are finally back...
-These photos are from today, 11/3/2025.-
Today, I am sharing a glimpse of our new life, where we have started again beside our home that was destroyed by war. Despite the pain and loss, we have not lost hope, and our determination to build a better future for our children remains unshaken.
This Tumblr house we now live in is not just walls—it is a testament to our resilience and to the love and support of everyone who has stood by us. You have always been a community full of kindness and generosity, and today, I share these moments so you can see how the light continues to shine in our hearts despite everything.
-This clip was made yesterday by my daughter Lian to make something for Amir to sleep in and the experiment was successful. This is Amir sleeping.-
But life here is still very difficult. We are still trying to stay strong, and we have built a simple shelter to live in—I will attach photos. We are waiting for the border to open so we can travel, hoping for the day when I can see my children wearing school uniforms, going to learn, playing in safe, undamaged places, eating clean food, and drinking safe water.
For now, we are just trying to survive with what little we have, as the border remains closed to everyone except those with severe medical conditions and critical war injuries.
We need your support once again. I will try to stay connected online and keep sharing photos and videos of our new life. Thank you to everyone standing with us—you are our hope in these difficult times.

"Alive but Forgotten"
We live today in a world of silence, a heavy silence that is slowly killing us. I see my younger siblings, their ages ranging from 3 to 7 years old, passing by with innocent eyes filled with questions I cannot answer. They hide behind me when they see a stranger, afraid of the unknown. My mother, who suffers from chronic illnesses, cannot even stand without help. She has not found anyone to extend a hand, and each time her condition worsens, I feel helpless.
My father, who was once a symbol of strength, is now a shadow of a man, broken and unable to bear the burdens after losing everything. He worked his whole life to provide us with a decent life, but today, we have nothing but rubble and the camps we move between, with memories that grow darker each day.
What I ask for is not money, nor material help, but something simpler. I just want someone to feel our existence, to remember us with even a word, a small gesture that revives hope in us that we are still a part of this world. Our messages are met with silence, as if we no longer exist, as if we are no longer part of life.
Every day, we live in the shadow of devastation, inside a room in a school that has turned into a shelter, its walls insufficient to provide privacy and fresh air to breathe life into us. We now share this space with other families, each carrying their own pain and worries. As for the children, they do not know what it means to have a home, nor do they understand what loss is. Whenever they look at my mother, they run to her, asking her to tell them a story about the future, not realizing that all my mother has left to tell them is sorrow.
Friends, our pain is not in the loss of things, but in the loss of existence, in becoming unheard. Sometimes, I stop to wonder: Are we still alive? Are we still part of this world? Our messages are met with silence, and our dreams have faded along with the ruins of the homes that no longer exist.
I no longer ask for anything except for someone to feel our presence, to ask about us, to remember us, even with a word. If our words touch your hearts, all we need is for you to share with us, to show the world that we are still here.
We ask for nothing except for you to raise our voices, to bring hope back to us, and to be a part of our story that we are trying to write with our trembling hands and souls still holding on to a thread of hope.
If you help spread our story, you will be giving us hope to survive, hope for life amidst all this destruction. We’re not asking for more than to be remembered, to be reminded that we’re still here.
Thank you for your attention, and for being the hope that could bring us back to life.

We all know that things are really dire in Gaza and food is super expensive. But exactly how bad are things?
Source: How much does food cost in Gaza? (Al Jazeera)
Basic necessities in Gaza can get up to 300% their usual price. 1 kg of sugar can get up to $60 in Gaza, and other foodstuff like fruit and vegetables can be even more expensive! And prices are only going up! Now can you see why I am so worried about Mahmoud's 17 family members (@mahmoudfamily1) in Gaza? He has 10 children in Gaza right now while his gofundme campaign barely has any donatioins, and has only managed to reach 3% of its target even though he has had it since May!
And it's not just food. Tent supplies and materials are also really expensive. His family had to spend $900 just to make sure the tent can better shield them from the cold and the flooding, but their tent was completely destroyed in a bombing! Now they have no shelter, nothing to protect them from the cold and heavy rain of the coming winter. With food and other necessities so expensive, this is a very huge blow to the family!
They have already lost relatives, including a 1-month-old baby, to the bombing. I worry for the 10 children, they are so young. With basic necessities getting up to 300% their usual price, I really don't want these young children to have to choose between having the medical supplies to treat their wounds, being warm, or having food to eat!
That is equivalent to only 44 kg of sugar in Gaza, and that's before you take into account the 4% cut gofundme takes, and the high international transfer fee, which can get up to 40%! Moreover, 1 kg of food like vegetables and fruits can cost more than $100!

But the cost of survival has become unbearable. Even the most basic necessities are out of reach.😭😭😭
Hello dears! 🇵🇸🍉🙏I am asking you to support my campaign to help me reach my goal. I am in dire need of your support now to help me stay alive and safe. Gaza is a very dangerous place both in terms of living and lives. The family consists of 20 members, most of them are young children. I need your financial support to enable me to get the basic needs for my family until the Rafah crossing is😭 reopened to transport my family to safety and peace. Please help a family stay alive through your small donations or through your shares to others. Thank you very much for standing by those in need. My campaign 90-ghoset has been documented🍉🙏

My name is Basel Ayyad, a 28-year-old Palestinian from Gaza. My family of eight was forced to flee our home in northern Gaza, which was destroyed by the war. We now live in a small tent in Rafah, struggling daily to survive without shelter, food, or medical care.
The most heartbreaking struggle is watching my daughter, who suffers from a rare disease, worsen due to the lack of treatment. We urgently appeal for your support with food and essential aid. Even the smallest donation can make a difference and save our lives. Please help us.

PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO READ!!
Mona (@mohammedshehabtt) has reached out to me to share new info with you all. She needs to buy two tents for herself and her mother and father. The cost of the two tents is $3,000. It’s now winter in Gaza and the conditions are horrible. Mona, her husband, her parents, and her two young daughters have no shelter to keep out of the cold and rain. These tents are essential to their survival. Please donate if you can, no amount is too small. So far, they have only raised 2k out of their 30k goal. We can help them reach their short term goal of $3,000 with your help. Please, please consider donating. Even a few bucks will help get them closer to their goal. Sharing this post is also incredibly helpful.
Thank you ❤️
