I mean to be fair that is kind of the point of a redemption arc. Slowly the character that’s been the villain, forced to be due to a chip, realizes how fucked up the thing they’ve been loyal for truly is. The fact that the writers are doing this slowly is honestly the show that they are doing it right. You’re totally right, someone doesn’t just do not thing then be good so I’m really excited to see where they take his redemption arc. On the other end though you do seem to have some very strong feelings on crosshair that you seem to be taking out on his fan base more then just ranting about the character which isn’t totally cool. Hope you have a great night/ day :]
Since I’m a bully for posting things on my own blog (lol), here’s another hot take:
One good deed does not constitute a full-fledged redemption arc. Not after he murdered someone that peacefully surrendered last time we saw him. Or the numerous other war crimes.
But hey, if you wanna work THAT hard to justify you liking a fictional character that NO ONE SAID YOU CAN’T LIKE, then go off I guess. Seems like a lot of wasted energy tho.
I'm a full believer that Larry can be such a pain in the ass from time to time he makes Sal lose his shit lol (he still loves him tho)
When filming ep 5 the directors said "take five" but Walker and Leah misheard it as "change lives" and a generation of people are now sobbing on the floor because of "It's okay" and "He's better than that" and "Seaweed Brain"
If I ever (probably not) write fan fiction

Tfw you’re forced to go to an elite socialite gala by your rich and powerful fathers and end up meeting what will end up being the love of your freaking life.
Below you will find rambling of my mangled ideas for this
First off, loved the idea of them meeting as kid kids. Like 8 and 9. And then I was like—but make them both rich.
In my brain the Waynes are socially obligated to attend Trigon Mr. Roth’s gala. On top of that, it’s important for their fathers to mingle and build business relationships at these things so why not make it a family ordeal. Idk what rich people do. But I don’t put it past either of these dads to drag their kids into their shit.
But anyways, Trigon is definitely a questionable and probably back stabbing business man, and Bruce doesn’t actually like the guy. It’s rumored he has ties to organized crime, as well. The Roth’s come from a long line of money and have aristocratic roots in Europe.
Damian and Raven, after getting to know each other over the years, feel like they’re the black sheep of their families. Raven’s family is thirsty for power and pretty ruthless. Damian feels like he just isn’t meant for this socialite thing, and has a hard time fitting in, unlike his older brothers. They also feel like they’re disappointments in some way or another. Both of their mothers have died, too (Arella shortly after Raven’s birth from complications, and Talia from a suspicious accident when Damian was 6, that’s when Bruce brought Damian home).
Eventually, as the two grow older, their fathers end up having a conflict that makes them competitors and rivals. It makes it hard on the now teens? Young adults? To be together because of their family rivalry, causing social tension and scandal amongst the elite. Bruce doesn’t have anything personal against Raven, he knows she’s a good woman and commends her for the independent identity she’s given herself, but has zero trust in her father. Trigon, defensively doesn’t want their family’s name, status and reputation tainted by scandal or gossip. However, in this weird AU I’d like to think that despite Trigon still being sinister and awful, he actually loves his daughter and is quite protective over her, despite his grueling expectations and standards for her.
Idk maybe Trigon’s karma catches up and he dies in a horrible car accident (that is definitely not an accident bc this man has so many enemies, bro) and Raven can finally get from under his heel. Maybe when Damian and Raven finally get married, Raven has conflicting feelings bc she does kinda wish her dad was able to walk her down the isle. But Bruce steps in instead.
Idk this has just been buzzing in my brain all day.
I had SUCH a blast drawing human Trigon by the way HOLY SHIT. Some inspiration from Lucious Malfoy definitely snuck in there and honestly it paid off. He also has some vampire-like qualities that I think fits his human counterpart well.
Saw a post like this with negative outlook so I asked for it to be fixed
