hey! i recently had top surgery (woohoo!), and i thought I'd write down what the whole process was like for me, from start to finish (aka 6 weeks later). i hope this helps anybody looking into top surgery or just looking for someone else's experience!
quick info:
i got ftm top surgery as a transmasc person on October 23rd, 2024. i got the double incision type, without nipple grafts, plus liposuction. my surgeon was Dr. Rukmini Rednam in Houston, Texas, USA.

Wanna do something useful, that really does have an effect? I have been calling my reps in the Senate, Congress and State Gov.
I've been calling every single day since the election, a different issue and solution each day. It takes about 1 min per call. Hate phone calls? Email them!
My own calls on issues have ranged from Voting No on Trump's cabinet picks, his violations of the constitution and out civil rights, LGBTQ+ Rights, and his unforgivable pardoning of violent seditionists. Pick the issues that matter to you most. Make a list!
example: "Hi, I'm [ ] from [ ], and I wanted to let [Rep] know how I feel about [issue], and that they should [solution]. Thank you!" and then they take your contact info and thank u for using your voice. Be polite, and try to be succinct! One issue per call or email.
They have to listen to us. Every phone call helps me feel a little better, and is a more effective use of my voice than complaining on social media.

the outfit i gave him is a combination of the gerudo outfit and the zora royal jewelry
this took me probably about 4.5 hours, on and off
here are the flats:
the rendering was tricky because i don't have a lot of practice doing realistic lighting - and especially not bottom-up cold lighting with warmer shadows, so i hope it turned out well

first big polymer clay sculpture!
of Euphoria, my DnD character I've posted art of a couple times now
in the background, a wooden posable model that I painted and decorated a few years ago to look like Azazel, Euphoria's patron
i used a wire and tin foil base, which i covered with polymer clay. i created and baked the body in one go, then the head and horns separately so they could fit in the small oven. then i painted him, added yarn for the fur and hair, and gave him a staff to help him stay balanced. finally, i inserted the antler wires into the head and glued them on, and stuck the head onto the wire post i left on the neck, and secured it all together. it took about 3 weeks worth of art classes to complete
Dan and Arin (game grumps) playing a VR game
i directly referenced a screenshot from one of their VR game playthroughs to draw this because i found it stupidly funny how much they kept messing with eachother during them
these are from may, 2023, so they're a little old but i still like them! and looking back on it i'm very pleased with how the rendering on Dan's jacket came out, i might try to play around with that in future drawings...
