Everytime I watch a review/deep dive of The Evil Within, i’m always majorly disappointed. Instead of people talking about what they liked and disliked, theories, game mechanics, what could be improved/expanded upon, etc etc.. We’re just met with TEW being compared to RE4.

Like😭😭I want a TEW review. Not an RE4 review. Both games are amazing and have such great things to offer to players. But why is TEW so scrutinized?

also to add: one of the main complaints i see about TEW is the survival aspect. like… it’s a SURVIVAL horror game. cmon now…

people need to stop writing sebastian smythe x female reader.  

sebastian is GAY.  not bi.  yes, there’s chemistry with santana during the smooth criminal scene, but that doesn’t mean he’s attracted to her.  he is only seen being attracted to men and has only talked about being attracted to men.

yes, i am a girl and i do think sebastian is cute.  yes, i have written fan fiction about characters before.  but i’m not going to write fan fiction about a gay character where the reader is meant to be female.   this is not because i am biphobic.  i myself am bi.  it’s just by making him attracted to women you’re erasing his sexuality, which is a very prominent part in his storyline.  i see this happening with robin from stranger things (rp accounts on instagram making her sexuality bi so she can appeal to male characters) and it’s gross.

the argument “well, he’s still attracted to men if he’s bi” makes no sense.  yes, he’d still be attracted to men if he were bi, but making him bi makes him attracted to women.  and that’s what’s wrong there.  SEBASTIAN IS NOT ATTRACTED TO WOMEN.  he is openly gay.  as said.

it also says he is gay on the fan wiki, which isn’t always a completely reliable source, but it is also said in multiple news articles.

seriously, people need to get it through their head that this is stupid.  i know a singular tumblr post isn’t going to stop people from posting these fan fics, but i honestly just needed to rant.  that’s it.

If you don't mind, I really would love to hear what you like about Ashley Graham and Steve Burnside.

I just really enjoy and sympathize with characters who are victims of circumstance. Ashley never asked to be the daughter of the U.S. president, Steve never asked to be the son of an Umbrella scientist, and yet they both pay dearly for the actions of their fathers that they had no control over or part in. Ashley is traumatized and Steve loses his life, through no fault of their own actions. Not to mention how young they are, Ashley was only 20 and Steve was 17. And yet because of poor writing so much of the fandom hates them, they think they’re too annoying, they think Steve is a creep when he was really just a vessel for the writers to be creeps, they think Ashley’s pathetic when she was really just a vessel for the writers to be creeps, you see what I mean? Ashley wasn’t rlly done justice in the remake, they just cut out all of the sexual harassment. If CV gets a remake I want Steve to at least be done justice
