people see news of 200+ palestinians being killed in one attack and scroll or think about it for about a minute then move on. but if 200+ people died in an attack in the west it would be mainstream news and all people spoke about for weeks. i know the numbers of palestinians being killed are astronomical and its impossible to keep up (which is absolutely sickeningly horrifying, there are no words), but the lack of value placed in palestinians lives and disregard shown is insane

i want to see more asexual, aromantic & aspectrum representation this year during pride month 2024. we've been made to feel like we're not queer at all, and when we are seen as queer, we are pushed to the VERY bottom of the priority list, seen as not as queer as others, or not a priority because we do not suffer from any kind of oppression.
i want to break the silence on this matter this year. even if an aspectrum person isn't affected by any sort of societal oppression, they still deserve to have a space to talk about how they experience their identity. having a complicated relationship or no relationship at all with romantic feelings and relationships in a society that guilt trips people into developing romantic relationships starting in their teens is not in line with our societal view of what is "normal" and "correct". constantly being told that you "haven't found the right one" is harassment.
Not experiencing sexual attraction, refusing to have sex, or having a complicated relationship with sexual feelings is 100% queer and outside of the norm in a sex-obsessed society that guilt and mocks people for not having experienced it, and at the worst of time, forces it on people, telling them that they'll have a changed opinion of they just experienced it for themselves. being guilted or forced into interacting with sexual media or having friends try to force you into sleeping with someone is harassment and assault.
having a complicated relationship with gender that results in someone feeling agender, whether they have no gender at all, or have a gender that feels partially agender and partially another gender often results in someone being told they're confused, or have no idea what they're talking about. many people refuse to acknowledge someone who totally lacks a gender identity, or identifies with gender neutrality.
aplatonic people are frequently told they are losers, or just have anxiety or are experiencing their feelings due to depression or something similar. aplatonic people are told they do not understand their own feelings, when it is a very valid experience to not experience platonic feelings or have a very complicated relationship with them that leads one to feel happier not engaging in those relationships.
these are very real issues aspectrum people face. even if an aspec person doesn't face these problems, they are still queer. they are still aromantic, asexual, agender, aplatonic, or some other like of aspec. you don't get to tell them how they experience their identity, and you don't get to tell them they're not queer or don't experience hardships and denial of their identity. i want to see more people talking about and accepting these identities in 2024. no more pushing aspectrum people to the back, we are here in the front with everyone else, shouting alongside you. we all deserve to be heard- including asexuals, aromantics, agender people, aplatonic people and other aspectrum folks. we are all shouting for our rights together. let's shout for each other, too.
happy pride to everyone who can't come out or be out this pride. happy pride to you if you are gay, lesbian, bisexual, pansexual or experience other types of queer attraction and cannot date, marry, live with, or sleep with the gender/s you are truly attracted to. happy pride to you if you can't tell anyone around you that you're trans. happy pride to you if you can't transition due to health, safety, familial or personal reasons. happy pride to you if you've tried to come out in the past but have been harassed out of identifying as queer. happy pride to you if you've been talked into detransitioning when you didn't want to. happy pride to you if you are aromantic or asexual and don't want to partner but are expected to or even forced to by your family. happy pride to you if you are a lesbian but feel estranged from the community because you are masculine. happy pride to you if you're gay and have to keep it a secret. happy pride to you if you are intersex but cannot be open about it. happy pride to you if you are genderqueer and/or genderfluid and cannot express the entirety of your gender/s. happy pride to you if it is illegal or otherwise impossible for you to transition.
happy pride to every queer person who is struggling to be out and loud about who they are right now. not everyone has the privilege to speak freely during pride month and as such, we must do the best that we can to make sure that these folks feel included, seen, heard, and represented. no matter who you are, transfem, transmasc, transneutral, non binary, gay, lesbian, bisexual, multispectrum, genderqueer, gnc, sapphic, achillean, aromantic, asexual, intersex, or whatever other queer identities you have, you are still a valued part of our community, and we are here for you when the rest of society can't be. you deserve to celebrate yourself too. you are just as important as queer people who have the relative freedom to express their queerness. take care of yourselves this pride month, you are loved and valued
We live here in very difficult living conditions that may be unbearable. There is no clean food, no water, and even medicine that can be purchased for colds. Can you imagine that? I just want to save myself and my family to safety You can help us with this by donating Thank you all gofundme.com/Helptahseenfamily
I woke up early today to look for cooking gas, but unfortunately I only found a few at a very high price 😔
So I had to go to the empty lands to collect wood... It was a very unsafe road But I did all this for my father and mother ..
Forgive me my parents I wish I could help you and paid your travel costs to a safe place, but I am completely helpless due to the harsh conditions of war 😭 💔
Please help me save my parents’ lives... Every day the danger increases and their health worsens due to the lack of the most basic necessities of life 🥹🙏🙏
Your reblug mean the world to us please share as much as you can 🙏🙏
I sleep every day and hope that I will wake up tomorrow and see a donation that will make my heart happy so that I will be able to help my family evacuate Gaza and escape genocide, but this does not happen. You can do that by donating and sharing the link everywhere.
something I don't think white ppl really understand is that when you have a poc character, that characters race is actually instrumental to their story. there are the obvious examples - Hazel levesque (hoo), katara and sokka (atla) are characters whose backstories wouldn't work if they weren't their specific races (black and native respectively) but you also have the characters whose personalities are informed by their race - miles morales is the personification of black boy soft masculinity, while devi vishvakumar has a specific type of brown girl insanity. if you are a white person you can't really ever claim them, because they are poc with specific experiences that you, a white person, will never really understand even when these are not explicit. relate to them, sure, but don't claim them. a great example of this is sid pakam from grand army - every person ive seen who say they don't like him or that he has a 'regular coming out story' has always been white. because, to quote tee noir, 'he's gay! children of colour from immigrant families, we won!" sids story is NOT your regular coming out story - it's about coming out as queer when you're the child of immigrants. this also affects his relationship with his family - his parents don't accept him partly because they're conservative but also because they're scared - this is another thing that puts their son in danger in a country that is constantly shitting on people with their skin colour. even his relationship with his sister is the specific desi sibling relationship. other great, but more subtle examples of this are luz noceda (the owl house) and charles rowland (dead boy detectives). luz is labeled as a "troubled kid" not just because she has ADHD, but also because she's afrolatina and thus recieves less sympathy than a white girl in the same position would. charles may be white passing, but he has piercings and a cricket bat and that Desi Boy swag that me and alot of other indian guys I know have. his death was an actual hate crime. we also see this in his relationship with his mom - yes he's worried about her because she's his mum, but it's also because they share the experience of being poc in the house of an abusive white man. his race is important, even if its rarely mentioned. you cannot write poc characters without giving them poc characteristics and backstories - otherwise, its just performative diversity
Reblog to put one of these in your mutuals’ pocket when they’re not looking
When I speak with my family, they describe the situation in Rafah as apocalyptic - like judgment day. Everyone is desperate to escape, yet there is nowhere to turn. Walking the streets, all you witness is a sea of displaced individuals in sheer panic. Hospitals are non-operational, the border is closed, supplies are running out, and the bombing and killing are nonstop. 1.3 million people are enduring these harrowing circumstances in Rafah. Why is this okay, how is this okay?
It feels like masses of people are ghosts living in theory and abstract and don't know what death is, what murder is, what a baby is, what human flesh is
I don’t think we’ve put it enough into perspective.
In case you lost it - a link to the eSIM donation guide. Even if you feel sick and powerless, you can at least do this. And even if you really, really can't donate, you can always at least share this and remind others.

“Israel is committing genocide.” Yes. They are. But so is the US. The US is 100% complicit in this, and Israel would not have been able to do as much without the help of the US. I’m disgusted to be living in a country that is complicit in the literal MURDER of civilians. Men, women, children, elderly, families. All dead because of Israel AND the US. This needs to STOP.

for those not aware, Ezra Miller has abducted a teenage indigenous person and is currently missing.
its important to spread awareness about this especially because of the rate of kidnapping and domestic abuse towards indigenous women, girls, and two spirits #mmiw
Reminder to those who don’t experience hallucinations/reality breaks:
Please tag your AI generated posts as unreality or the name of the generator you’re using. The distorted faces/backgrounds/objects can be fun to look at and joke on but they aren’t schizophrenia/psychosis friendly and can cause a major problem to anyone who is triggered by seeing things like that. Courtesy should be taken to make sure the people who want to see it can, and the ones who don’t won’t have to panic at a new AI trend making them have an episode.
As much as we all try to curate experiences, and sometimes tagging doesn’t work, it should be noted that, at least putting the tags there is a sign that you’ve thought about others potentially being put at risk for a reblog or post. It’s understood that sometimes it’s forgotten and that’s okay, but please respond and listen to others when they ask to tag AI generated posts and reblogs.
(Please spread this around, a new AI trend is going around and this could be the difference between someone just being set off for 30 mins, and being set off and accidentally put in the hospital.)
happy PRIDE i’m here i’m queer and i believe the land should be given back to the proper indigenous stewards.

One of the most groundbreaking, critically acclaimed, and delightful video games of 2014 began in a highly unlikely place — Anchorage, Alaska.
It’s called “Never Alone” (or “Kisima Ingitchuna”). And it wasn’t developed by Nintendo, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, or any of the other big game studios.
It was the brainchild of the Cook Inlet Tribal Council (CITC) — a nonprofit community support organization for Alaska Natives and their families.
And while many Alaska Native communities are struggling to hold on to their identities in the 21st century, the council saw “Never Alone” as both a way of becoming more financially self-sufficient and a necessary new method of transferring cultural knowledge from one generation to the next.
Since nonnatives like erasing us so much
Happy indigenous history month and pride month to everyone, I hope every Indigenous, Métis, and Inuk person has a great month, if you're still struggling with the news there are a lot of new resources and numbers that may help
nonnatives dont add anything unless its support
what a good day to remember that butch lesbians (ESPECIALLY trans, poc, and/or fat butch lesbians) aren’t fucking predatory
