I've been on a Brad Dourif hyperfixation for like six months now. The restorative power of staring at this one hot guy has somehow pulled me through a profound creative burnout.... and here are the results! (See #my bradrot for the latest)
Supercut of hottie moments (Boys)
The X-Files (Shinigami Eyes)
Spontaneous Combustion (You Spin Me)
Death Machine (Wrecking Ball)
Scrungly feature analysis: Brad Dourif's eyes
Popping the headlights (a certain way directors light his eyes)
Saint Sebastian | Le génie du mal | Perseus with the Head of Medusa
Drake yes/no meme generator | Tucker Cleveland's truck templates
Brad Dourif movie bingo!
BDE (Brad Dourif Energy) memes
Rotoscoped Miami Vice intimidation gif
Listen here u little shit (Cypress Edge)
Brad Dourif mlem cam (Progeny interview)
i sleep / real shit, Dourif vamp edition
And maybe some fics... someday? 🫣
P.S.: I don't repost fundraisers and stuff here because this is my fun stupid side account. I do those things on main; this is more of a release valve. Big love to those doing the work on here, though.
most relatable character ➣ Julian Bashir STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE (1993-1999)
Alien: Resurrection (1997)
I had a dream that I was being seduced by this gross wet war veteran exterminator.
It goes without saying, it worked 😍

Hahaha! Tucker Cleveland energy (less the expressions, more the "fuk u" 🤣). Love the little self-satisfied evil grin.

New hyperfixation go brrrr
(created a new blog, @general-feral , for random guy fixations n thirst art/fics — since this one is heavily dourif)
Upgraded the quality on this one, it's still stupid but at least it looks better 💯💯💯
Suffer with me.
While fawning over BD’s supernaturally gorgeous eyes, I had to pick just a few gifs to illustrate That Thing where directors highlight him from an off-angle so they seem to glow internally. You know something's about to go down when they bust out this trick.
Problem: The X-Files alone is chock-full of this effect, and there are a gajillion more from other media. So: a dedicated post!
Starting with the ole one-eye highlight — they usually pick the right one, which is a little lifted and turned (I'm calling it his cat-eye):
Cue the lightning!!!
Sometimes it makes an iridescent crescent shape. I know it's meant to be scary, but he's such a terribly pretty boy:
Getting creative with some uplighting and a rare left eye (it's nice to see her getting some attention)...
...And some more extreme angles. How does this even work?!
It's just... captivating. I'm gonna go lie down now. (Think I actually stole all the gifs from @exdeputysonso this time. I'm basically a recycler for all their hard work and tbqh I'm fine with that)
