One of the best things about sitting a gallery show is the people.
A man told me not to take anything personally as he ushered his unsighted mother around the walls. To him they were silly. He came out with the classic, "A 7-year old could..." and repeatedly dismissed them with "Strings. Lots of strings." "More strings."
Until he came to one, in fluoro pinks, ribbons & roses. I braced myself, then he stepped back as he told her, "Now, [big pause] this one! This one's [got me]."
So you never know. (see above)

Curating the First Ever Bondi PopUp gallery at Bondi the Beautiful Fair was a buzz!! The theme was BILLOW: everything & anything to do with the sea, wind, sky & the Fair was about recycling & conservation which our works fit right into. This image is an on-the-spot billow.
Contributing artists were Linden Braye, Betty Smith, Gail Carson, Mark Elliot, Jo Mulcahy-Zubani, Sue Saxon and Yvette Sarasola—a mix of Waverley artists in residence, Inner West and Western Sydney with about 16 works in our Pop Tent.
Thanks to Jeanette aka @psychopoesie : "beautiful & delicate... also surprising!" and "your public wants more more MORE! :)" and to James Johnson CHR aka @JamesJohnsonCHR for being another keen supporter. Artists need supporters. True.

Miss the show? Here's a cropped paranor-ama by photographer Martin Neville. Don't worry that the spots aren't all on the works. By the time it was up that was the least thing. Great show, nice opening, stacks of visitors and interested convos.
Road Trip (detail) – this is the one for him (see below)
