You done screw up.
What you and the-foxy-fam-and-friends is very, very good indeed. It definitely and interesting route to the Greek Gods, and how they story would go.
Aphrodite side quest ending with her wanting to honor both Hephestus and Pandora is very good.
The side quest with Dionysus is fun, more so him calling Kratos brother and having a purpose after so long. Him and Kratos bounding would be pretty to see, even Kratos feel terrible for Dionysus over losing Ariadne and is later hopeful the two can reunite.
Hestia and Demeter: It is just plain tragic and does bare parallels with Ragnarök with Freya out to get Kratos for Baldur’s death before becoming an ally. More so Kratos spares Demeter to put the Ghost of Sparta behind him.
The thing I love is them forming the basis of Rome. Kratos mentioned to have fought in the Trojan War (He liked the poem better.) so the remaining Greek Gods founding what is then just a village on the Tiber of Future Rome is a fascinating twist. It does really bring the orignal trilogy to a proper end, and one that isn’t just bloodshed and bring to rest a lot of Kratos’ old ghost.
On something a little closer to home, in Mythology, Anubis had a brother name Wepwawet, a wolf-headed god that name meant ‘Opener of the Ways’ with inscriptions from the Sinai states that Wepwawet "opens the way" to king Sekhemkhet's victory. So some see him as a sorta scout. Likewise, Wepwawet was said to accompany the pharaoh on hunts, in which capacity he was titled (one with) sharp arrow more powerful than the gods alone.
Later on, Wepwawet was also seen as one who opened the ways to, and through, Duat, for the spirits of the dead.
So...one would give Atreus his own older half-brother from his mother’s previous marriage with Set, with similar, but different powers (Think an Scout/Ranger), and Kratos flashbacks to what happened with Deimos.
To add to that God of War in Egypt with the remaining Greek Gods also there; how about Aphrodite is in grieving and misses Hephestus and Pandora. Sort of a 'you dont know how good you had it until its gone' deal. She took her lavish life for granted and now that she is all alone, she finds herself reminiscing of her disabled husband and his child. So Atreus and Kratos find some items (a bracelet and a cane) that used to belong to them and hand them over to the former goddess of passion as she takes their words to be a better person for their memory.
Kratos: Hephestus died protecting the one thing he cherished more than you, his child. All his life he was rejected by his family and sought your favor as you had love for everyone. In the end, he believed that he was better off loving and protecting his daughter then seeking love from you.
Aphrodite: I, thank you for your truthful words, Spartan. I know that I cannot change what is already done, and i am to blame for being such a horrible mother and wife. Ares had his charm, but I was too blind to see he only valued me for pleasure. (GoW Ares is one track, unlike your take)
Atreus: Dont be sorry miss, be better. Yes we all made mistakes, some larger than others, but they wouldnt want you to waste away in grief. Try to live and honor their memories by being a better god than what you were before. Everyone deserves a chance to change, dont throw yours away.
Aphrodite: I can see your father clearly in your, and your mother. I shall try and move on, for their sake. Thank you, both of you.
With her sidequest done, Aphrodite vanished and is never heard from again as she strives to remake herself to honor her deceased family.
I had a similar idea, but it was for all the Greeks.
For Aphrodite it's a lot like what you mentioned, but the other ones would have quests as well.
Dionysus: It's helping him find Ariadne, whom he was certain died in the destruction of Olympus. After a few side missions where Kratos and Dionysus bond, you find out she's hiding out in Italy. Dionysus thanks you, calls Kratos brother, and rushes of to find his beloved, moving with purpose for the first time in centuries.
Artemis and Apollo: They didn't particularly care about Olympus and their father, they're more trying to keep Aunt Demeter alive than anything else. Once you end Demeter's quest, Artemis and Apollo lose the energy to hunt you, and go back to wandering the world.
Hestia and Demeter: Their fates are intertwined. Hestia and Demeter are the last of the children of Kronos left, and Hestia just wants to keep her sister alive. But Demeter is so mad with grief at the loss of her daughter that she cannot see anything else. Demeter's quest is part of the Main Quest, and Kratos, who is tired of being the Ghost of Sparta, spares Demeter's life. Demeter can't even respond, she's too broken by grief, and Hestia quietly spirits her away.
At the end of the game, there's a short epilogue, where we see the remaining Greek Gods have come together in a small little village in Italy, built on the banks of the Tiber River, called Rome.
World of Darkness versions of Dancy and Meredith for an april fools gag
Oh yes. TF2 has a whole community made map call Selbyen that has players feeding a seal as it makes its way back into the ocean.
That and fan works I think you definitely enjoy.
Take all the time you need. Just a friendly suggestion and all.
Absolutely love all your work.
Random idea: Team Fortress 2 has seals so maybe Medic!Jaina and Sniper!Sylvanas on BLU and RED teams respectively.
These words mean a lot to me and they motivate me to draw. Thank you so much! I never thought there would be a seal in Team Fortress 2. Maybe I'll draw on it next time. (Don't expect too much, it might take a long time or it might not happen at all.)
Now this... this is very good.
Egypt in by itself a very fascinating culture and society from start to finish. The overall set up with Set, and Horus, the whole civil war/the Succession War. I am reminded of Assassin’s Creed Origins which I feel could be very useful in such an project. Especially it Discovery Mode.
(I try not to spoiler too much of Ragnarok, but no promises.)
Nephthys’ as Kratos wife and Atreus as Anubis works very well in compared to the Norse duology of Faye/Laufey and Atreus Giant name of Loki. I can honestly see it starting much like 2018/Ragnarok, Set himself showing up at Kratos’ frontdoor, maybe somewhere in Upper Egypt, with some of his men, wanting for Nephthys to come out, making an sly reference to the ‘Ghost of Sparta’, pushing Kratos’ buttons and starting the first big boss fight.
Of course, Nephthys alive and well, and so Kratos is rightfully upset at her secrets and possible nefarious motives of him and their son, which Nephthys denies the latter and she was only trying to get away from her former husband/brother before meeting Kratos. It does makes it a interesting dynamic o the whole family together and all the clear tensions and problems of it at the start.
On Atreus on being Anubis, it works very well with him being Loki, but also very different. it odd, Anubis was one of the most important Gods of Egypt, but there few myths about him. Him talking to dead gods like Osiris is a very good plotpoint not unlike the Norse duology. Like going to Duat, or the Field of Reeds.
Set and Horus as parallels to Old Kratos is also very good. Horus in particular, even at his worst, wants to Avenged his father Osiris and honor his mother Isis.
I also see them letting go, which is a big theme in Ragnarok, which Set, Horus, and Isis all succeed in letting go. (As you said, Isis’ her ambitions, Set his fighting, and Horus his pride.)
Also given this is Egypt, I can see there being far more Greek influence and tied ins of the original Greek Era. There a long history between Greece and Egypt. See Kratos and his family forced go to Tahpanhes, Naucratis, Heracleion, or Cyrene (Something he want to avoid at all costs.), and Atreus seeing an fresco, or Temple of the Old Kratos as the God of War, and/or his rampage across Greece, or Greeks fleeing in terror of seeing the older Kratos.
As for allies, I think Hathor could work as one of the group and one of the most powerful ones. Thoth too as a strictly role of neutrality at the start of it. Bastet is seeking to place Ra back in power, but not necessarily allied with Set. Or turn thr tables it to ally with Horus. (Never mind Sekhmet...) Min, the God of Fertility, is one of Horus main allies, possible half brother, or a old lover to Isis as well as Horus own four sons. The thing about Egypt is the sheer number of Gods, big and minor.
Set meanwhile has a lot of foreign gods behind him. (Set the God of foreigners. So see a lot of Near Easterns and Libyans.)
Meanwhile, Ra is just chilling on his Solar Barque, that can rival even Olympus.
I even just loved the idea of Kratos going to get cities of Ancient Egypt that can rival, or even put to shame those of Greece. Thebes and Memphis, the lost city of Thonis or Amarna, Luxor, Abydos, Hermopolis, the Valley of the Kings, the Giza Plateau and more.
I kind of wish that the God of War sequel series had taken place in Egypt instead of Midgard. Aside from just loving Egyptian Mythology and it being severely underrated, I really think it could have worked thematically with God of War.
Let me explain.
So, the most famous myth in Egyptian Mythology, and arguably the most important, is the succession crisis between Horus and Set. Basically, Horus is the son of Osiris, the previous King of the Gods, whom Set, Osiris’ brother, murdered and took the throne for his own.
But, it’s not so cut and dry. See, the original King of the Gods was Ra, the creator deity, who was forced out by Isis, mother of Horus and wife of Osiris, and then forced him to name Osiris his heir. Set was Ra’s greatest general and oathsworn warrior, and by all rights should have been king after Ra stepped down. So Horus’ claim isn’t as ironclad as it appears.
So, why does this work?
Because it’s a legitimate divine WAR. A war where no one is clearly in the right or wrong, and both sides have to stand on the strength of their morals, rather than being ruled by a generic fantasy Evil King you need to rebel against.
So, picture this for the God of War sequel series:
Kratos makes his way to Egypt after the fiasco in Greece, and there he meets Nephthys, the sister of Isis and a Goddess of Night, the Dead, and Air. Nephthys is in hiding as she doesn’t want to get involved in the war between her family. She knows who Kratos is, he’s got a reputation, and hides her identity as a Goddess, tending to his wounds. They end up falling in love and having a child together, whom they name Atreus. But Nephthys gives him a different name in secret.
She names him Anubis.
When Atreus is young, the family is thrown into the Succession War when Nephthys’ identity is revealed. This obviously pisses of Kratos because he’s still in his “hates all the Gods” thing and thinks Nephthys used him. But he still loves her, and despite the tension the three of them try to keep themselves together and try to stay alive in the midst of this divine war.
They don’t really like either side of the war, and both occupy a somewhat villainous position in the beginning. Horus is an arrogant jerk and Set is a brutal warrior. Both are meant to be a parallel to Kratos as well, Set having a similar backstory and warrior mindset and Horus emodying the brutal hateful anger at everything that made Kratos destroy the Olympian pantheon.
Basically, Atreus/Anubis in these games would be Kratos’ opposite. He’s gentle and weak where Kratos is brutal and powerful. Atreus’ unique ability is to communicate with the dead, drawing power from them and laying their spirits to rest. It’s this power that makes him indispensable to the war, as he gains the ability to do the same with dead Gods as well, including Osiris.
Ultimately, it’s revealed that Apophis, the Chaos Serpent, has been manipulating both sides this whole time in an effort to throw the world into chaos. Isis finally relents her mbition, Horus unbend his pride, and Set stops fighting.
They end up putting Ra back on the Throne for the coming conflict with Apophis, and the gods recognize Atreus as Anubis, one of their pantheon. Kratos is forced to learn to trust Gods and realize that Ra is not the tyrant Zeus was. He forgives Nephthys for her deception and accepts his son as a God, and they work together against Apophis.
I dunno. I just think it could work.
I admit I took a lot from Horizon and Call of Duty Extinction and more I'm making up as I go. I finally got Declassified and I could not help myself.
In my mind, child Sombra was taken by Anubis loyalists, and forcibly turned into a cybernetic freak. Unlike Sojourn (Who isn't really there anymore. There nothing left of Vivian Chase, only Anubis.) as the God Program host body, Olivia Colomar still exists, fighting against the Sombra's persona.
Doomfist, he's definitely one of the major leaders, or figures on the Mars Colony of Humans. His Social Darwinism philosophy to reclaim the Earth from the Omnics and the 'fake humans'. He, and Moira would be the biggest Martian Humans Heroes. Compared to maybe Mercy and Lifeweaver who should stay on Mars and focus rebuilding.
I see you had Cassidy as among the Human Survivors on Earth. In my eyes Cassidy would be an Jeremiah Johnson/Man with No Name. A man with few if any words to say, it all in his actions. So alone for so long, but still has a heart in him.
Of course Mauga would still be alive and kicking. He gone full Ocean World.
Illari, could be interesting if the Inti Warriors are still around in the Andes and just wanna be left around/left undiscovered.
All the cloned cast would be very different. But you can still see certain characteristics from Canon as part of the 'Human Nature.' Some would become rebellious like Ashe, and Junker Queen, others trying to figure out what a human being actually means.
Ramattra would be one of the most interesting to explore. Even here I feel he would be a sorta outsider because of being a Ravagers, built by Anubis for war. He has no reason to hate humans, but maybe thinking the project to bring them back to be a bad one. Even so I like to think he defends everyone on top on going after Anubis itself. Peace at any cost. The same for working with Macaria.
Curious to see Echo and Orisa. I guess the're attempts by the Omics to create a new generation.
Large parts of the Earth have been left abounded, reclaimed by nature, litter with the legacy of mankind and the Crisis, Omnics are often clustered around the old Omniums as well as several other locations.
No idea why I did this, but you might enjoy it and offer some insight on it. The Omnic Crisis ended with the Extinction of Humanity. Or Pyrrhic Victory in the Crisis.
https://www.tumblr.com/hellomrhistoryman/737875839474171904/my-thoughts-on-the-subject-the-omnic-crisis?source=share
I now have brain rot. I love this so much!!
Ok first I would like to point out a couple of things. The first being, considering the state of the Overwatch world during the Crisis, other then then brilliant minds being saved, the only other people who would have been saved were probably rich. Another thing is that I think the only people who would be cloned would be those who died at a young age, so a majority of the old guard stay dead, and a suggestion I would make to avoid complicating ages would be have the cloning process match how old the DNA is.
I would also like a specification on what Sombra is doing in this AU, because I assume she's trying to save Sojourn, but it also sounds she's either also being controlled by Anubis or helping him in some way.
However speaking of Sombra there is something I need to specify and that it, if a character has augmentations like she does in canon and they are part of the few surviving humans on earth in this universe, they wouldn't have those augmentations unless they were needed for survival and they were saved by Omics.
Also I would love to see how morals change for characters because of this change. Specifically the Talon characters.
I would also like to point out that Ramattra and maybe Zen would probably be the main ones trying to stop Anubis on the Omnic side of things, maybe even working with Macaria.
Anyway I also made a list on what I think the state of all the characters, so enjoy;
I will say I am curious on how the story of Chaotic Swap would look like game to game. Like how Sonic Adventure 2 would look like with Blaze and Rouge in Sonic and Shadow places, or even afterward with Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog (Rouge suffering from memory loss), among others.
As for Vanilla, it seem like the obvious choice to make Cream into the Sage to Vanilla's Eggman as you said Eggman himself has become more fatherly.
I am very curious to see Team Blaze, how they came to be, and more of how Blaze as the Sonic would look like on top of Team Dark and the Vanilla.
I really love your Chaos Swap. I think you are creating a a fun setting with some creative fun with the cast. My favorite is Team Dark. Shadow as the serious agent of G.U.N who plays it very close to his chest, Rouge as the Ultimate Life Form who watched far too many Spy movies, Omega as Eggman. Big Shadouge fan, so I love their relationship here. Shadow always being there for Rouge following a nightmare, or a moment of depression, and for her part, Rouge can only flirt her poor bat soul. I like to picture E.G.G playing matchmaker whenever they go to the New Babylon Casino, or one of Shadow's bars.
The rest of them are both wild and fun as well. Vanilla as Doctor Eggman is something I never would have thought of, but I do like Vector as Agent Stone.
This Tails puts even his Sonic Prime self Nines to shame and I guess he is taking Doctor Starline place here. It hard to see Amy like this, but even some of her Canon self is still there and I love this thing between her and Metal!Sonic.
Looking at the other places and mentions, I guess Blaze is the Sonic. Would that mean Silver is her Tails?
I love to see more of this world. Who else do you have plan for the Chaos Swap? Or even more stuff for Team Dark because I feel they're pretty central to this whole thing from what I seen.
Such questions warm my soul, I am glad that people like my ideas. As for Blaze, yes, she will take Sonic's place. I've considered a lot of options, and as for me, Blaze is ideally suited for this role. (Although I even considered Knuckles for Sonic's place) Silver— I have an idea about his role, he will take the place of Amy Rose. Tails' place is taken by Marin. As for Vannila, because of the family motives of both characters, it seemed interesting to me to choose Vanilla. Recently, Eggman has been developing towards a father-daughter relationship. Yes, the dark team will be central to my au. For it was my first command that I did this to this au. As for any spoilers about future work, there will be a Team of Blazes (Blaze as Sonic, Lien—Da as Knuckles and Marin as Tails). New art with the Dark Team and the Vannila Empire.
That’s actually is a wonderful idea.
The main surviving Greek Gods should be Aphrodite, Apollo, Demeter and Artemis. Hestia too as you pointed out and maybe Dionysus. Demeter especially would be hell-bent on killing Kratos for killing her daughter on top of everything else. (Despite Persephone trying to end the whole world along with herself in Chains of Olympus.) She go after Atreus in an heartbeat.
Apollo and Artemis would be the biggest after Demeter to want Kratos’ head for destroying the Greek Pantheon and the destruction of Greece itself. Aphrodite may not be as lustful as we saw her last. Dionysus drinking away with Egyptian wine.
Hestia may be the only real one that could want to make peace with Kratos and see her grandnephew in Atreus/Anubis.
On the flip-side, you may find surviving Spartans who still worships Kratos as the God of War for better, or for worst. Even an aged, older version of the Last Spartan, Kratos most loyal mortal follower leading them.

A sad, but true part of America that must be told, and must be known.
reblog until someone gives a damn
Azir probably even worshiped Janna back in his mortal days. If anything, he backed the Janna cult/Church of the Storm and Priestess Jinx for the short and long term.
Jinx going the route of becoming an Ascended/God Warrior is pretty insane to think about in of itself. An chaotic version of Thoth/Ptah would be awesome to see.
On the large scale enemies aside from Xerath and Renekton, Noxus and the Void would be on the list.North Shurima is dominated by Noxus like Bel'zhun, Tereshni, and Urzeris.
The South meanwhile has a lot of nasty void stuff going on out of Icathia. and stuff like Sai Kahleek. Same for the Darkin from the Void War.
Piltover/Zaun may find itself between rock and hard place of the New Shuriman Empire and Noxus if you went that way.
Fucken wild idea (you can use it if you want, I'll probs never make a fic in my life, I cant write for shit)
Jinx has a mental breakdown while living with Silco at like age 14 (before Vi gets out of prison) and thinks she's going to jinx Silco and getting independence for Zaun and pulls a journey to the west (yes I have been rereading the jttw don't @ me) and goes on a pilgrimage to find enlightenment/ how tf not to be a Jinx to everyone around me, everyone thinks she's fucken dead coz this was entirely impromptu, including Ekko and Zeri (she's there). And Jinx just kinda travels the world meeting new people making enemies and friends along the way including one "special" Demacian *wink* *wink*. She ultimately makes her way to shurima (note Janna has been guiding her journey) and finds like this sunken temple that was dedicated to Janna full of forgotten ancient relics and scripture detailing Zaun and Jannas history. And Jinx is all like tf do I do? And Janna visits her in her dreams and is like, daughter of mine, rewrite our old scripture and traditions into modern zauns language and once you've done become my priestess and bring back our culture to Zaun. And jinx is like seems legit and does that for like 2 and a half years (she's like 18 after this) and makes her way back to Zaun
Meanwhile back at the twin city's, Caitlyn broke Vi out of prison to help with her investigation, Vi finds out from sevika that jinx is probs dead, and Ekko basically confirms it, shit happens Zaun gets it's independence, a year goes by and Jinx 5 years older one pilgrimage and religious awakening later has finally made it back home to Zaun and Silco, Silco of course is ecstatic to have his daughter back and wants to show off to Zaun and Piltover that the princess and heir of Zaun has finally returned, Jinx is like umm dad, Ive had like a religious awakening and such and went on a pilgrimage across the world and I brought back a bunch of scripture of Janna and the church of the storm and I'm basically a priestess now can we umm get Jannas old church back up and running? Silco of course agrees, anything for his little girl. A gala at Piltover rolls around and what's the best way to announce the return of the princess of Zaun then to upstage a piltoven event? So Jinx and slico and the other chembarons go to the gala and guess who's there, Caitlyn, Vi, Ekko and Zeri also Lux and a bunch of Jinx's friends from around the world (jinx has so many political connections it's scary)
You can kinda imagine what happens next, Vi , Ekko and Zeri freak the fuck out, Jinx/powder is alive what? Ekko and Zeri are like do we need to fight she works for Silco, but this is a gala and Jinx is clearly been invited judging by her dress. While Vi is all like at first HOLY SHIT POWDER IS ALIVE, WHAT THE FUCK IS SILCO DOING WITH HER, WHY THE FUCK IS HE WITH HER, GET TF AWAY FROM MY SISTER! Jinx is like Vi wtf ,don't make a scene and drags her off. Caitlyn is all the while awkwardly standing there not really know what to do but be kinda excited to know that vis innocent baby sister is alive, and is like new sister pog as well as the fact she seems to be very close to a Crownguard who has been basically been a bodyguard and shadowed her the entire evening which can only mean good things(Ekko never had the heart to tell Vi jinx worked for Slico, and Vi just talked about her little sis to Cait all the time and Cait has gotten attached to her even tho she's never met her)
Eh can't be bothered to keep going, it's like past 12 am for me and I need to do work tomorrow
Night clown
We Prince of Egypt AU now, love it (I know the movie is based on the bible, but I've never read it so Prince of Egypt AU it is). Jinx having a spiritual journey just like Moses did while wandering through a desert.
You could almost cut everything and just focus on Shurima adventures too, especially if you wanted to have Jinx interaction with the colourful Shurima champs (or actively try to ignore them while doing her translations only to have them constantly bug her). Jinx could still have traveled all over the place, but you could keep it to backstory or references just to keep the story focused, anything you'd want more detail in could just be side stories.
Like Jinx has holed up in an old catacomb or something and just is constantly interrupted. Nasus could stop in to teach her how to read ancient Shuriman (useful, Jinx likes), which then makes Renekton come bursting in to fight (even when Nasus isn't there and after the first couple times of Jinx actually fearing for her life she just kinda gets used to it and tells him Nasus isn't there much to Renekton's disappointment).
Sivir could show up initially thinking it was a new tomb to explore only to find Jinx, somehow they hit it off and Sivir starts bugging her to raid tombs together since Jinx is an explosives expert + her lessons with Nasus means she can read ancient Shuriman and knows a lot about old architecture.
That could then lead Azir (leaning on his interactions with Sivir from LoR) to showing up trying to use Jinx as a means of getting close with Sivir or even just learning what she's doing, because she wants nothing to do with him. He'd just call her Scribe or something like "Scribe, how was my great granddaughters day? Did she....mention me at all?" Have Azir go off on "For your usefulness to me over the years I shall consider you an honorary Shuriman when Shurima finally rises to its true splendor under my rule! Feel pride in earning such a status Scribe! Maybe even Royal Scribe may be in your future should such usefulness continue!" to which Jinx just goes "Yeah sure, cool."
Taliyah could be the one normal friend she actually likes to see because when she see's Jinx is busy she'll just come back another time while leaving a note. They can go sand surfing together and Taliyah would deliver Jinx's mail correspondence with the other people she met on her journey to keep in touch.
Not really sure about the other Shuriman champions. Would be funny if Jinx went "You know, I think you're my favourite of all the Shuriman weirdos I've met, you keep things simple y'know?" towards Rammus who just responds with "OK" While with Amumu it's "Y'know I get you, but I'm still not hugging you. Maintain our agreed upon distance."
The reason so many years pass before Jinx finally leaves is because of the constant interruptions, but through it she ascends (hehe) to a level of patients not previously thought possible. She gets so used to dealing with the constant interruptions from these Gods and other powerful beings she doesn't even blink and just accepts it.
Upon actually returning to Zaun would be kinda funny if people were more weirded out at how incredibly mellow Jinx is than the fact she's actually back.
At that Gala would be where she could interact with the others she met on her journey. Everyone could be weirded out at the Shuriman delegates just approaching Jinx going "Scribe, Emperor Azir wishes to seek your wisdom on a most important topic. He wishes to know if you have any knowledge as to what Lady Sivir's favourite food might be? Emperor Azir wishes to gift her such for his upcoming visit."
Idk, does sound like a fun idea that I might possible look into doing something for (adding it to the pile ;-;) since Shurima is a pretty neat place which also bleeds into my childhood love of Egypt (I wanted to be an Egyptologist as a kid :3).
Spoken in unison.
