Loki Holding a Fire Poker
I recently learned that he was possibly a hearth god, and a bit of a guardian spirit for the family, so I’ve been thinking about him a lot.
June Omoya and Lalo Flores
Y’all ever find yourselves drawing OCs you know you’ll almost certainly never use? Because I do.
It’s probably pretty obvious who these two are based on, at least visually, but I like how they came out. May go back and draw more of them once I’m finished with chores. I just needed to get them out of my system while waiting for laundry.
The Piper at the Gates of Dawn
I was listening to Pink Floyd while drawing yesterday, and I dunno. I think he’d be into them.
No idea why. I just felt like drawing a blushy Jimmy.
Just another Evermore doodle.
Lonán and Wynnthryth
This is the first doodle I’ve been proud of for awhile. I hadn’t drawn Wynn in way too long, and I realized that I’ve drawn Jimmy a lot, but not Lonán* so I went ahead and gave him a shot.
*For context: I’m working on a project called The Evermore Saga, and the main protagonists are all based on the members of Led Zeppelin. Lonán is based off Jimmy Page and Wynnthryth off Robert Plant. There’s lots of magic, mythology refs, and reincarnation among other fun things. It should be a fun ride, but I’m still trying really hard to get my plot and everything together, so we’ll see how it all pans out.
After doodling these two last night, I wanted to do something a little bigger and cleaner. So I drew Lonán making his wife laugh, and I’m really happy with it. They’re so sweet.
I haven’t been very satisfied with my art the past couple weeks. I’ve been sketching things just to delete them. But I said fuck it, went straight to painting, and I actually really like how these came out.
Things I Should’ve Posted Sooner, But Didn’t Because I’m Too Self-Conscious
Lancelot du Lac
I didn’t mean to go this hard. I only meant to doodle for a bit before bed, but I guess I was just really feeling Lance.
I joked with Corny that I’m probably going to hate it when I wake up, but I dunno. Lancelot is looking really pretty, and I had a lot of fun with the watery/glittery effects. So we’ll see.
Style changes.
Hisako is semi-immortal, and I was just thinking about how she’s liked to dress and cut her hair over time.
On Your Knees
Christening this blog with what I at least think is a cute doodle of Jimmy and an OC (Hisako). No idea what the fuck is going on with Hisa’s hands, but this is why we sketch.
June Omoya
Ended up drawing the inkling of a character that’s definitely not visually based on Jimmy Page to distract myself from all that’s going on right now. I’m pretty happy with how she came out. I like her poppy tattoos in particular.
Entry #2 of Rock Stars as Pretty Girls: Roger Waters for @raptorcat1960
I was going to finish up Led Zeppelin first, but I hadn’t really drawn Roger before and thought he would be fun. Hope you enjoy!
Entry #3 of Rock Stars as Pretty Girls (Updated): John Bonham for @corneliathekate
Entry #4 of Rock Stars as Pretty Girls: Jimmy Page for @corneliathekate
I hope y’all appreciate the phoenix designs I did, because I was literally screaming the entire time I was trying to get them right and eventually said fuck it.
Entry #1 of Rock Stars as Pretty Girls (Updated) : John Paul Jones
I really didn’t like my first go at him and I had more energy yesterday morning, so here y’all go!
Tagging @raptorcat1960 because I thought you’d appreciate it. 😉
Robert Plant and Lucas. Originally did this for a few friends and posted it uncolored. And now I’m putting it here for y’all to see.
They look almost like an elf and a hobbit.
This is literally just a screencap from X-Men: Days of Future Past starring an older Akechi and Akira.
I’m pretty new to the fandom, but these two have a lot of similar vibes to Erik and Charles, so I had no choice but to do the thing albeit very messily.
Reblog my art if you’re not a coward!
Wynnthryth the Golden
Seeing as it’s Robert Plant’s birthday today, I’ve had him and, subsequently, the half-fae bard I based off of him on my mind pretty much all day.
So enjoy the Art History lecture doodle I found myself doing of her as my little homage to Mr. Plant this year.
Let Marc Spector See His Daughter!
I was thinking about Diatrice yesterday, and it really irks me that she hasn’t made any appearances recently.
On a lighter note. I headcanon that Marc calls her Didi, and that she makes a lot of the same faces her dad does. Including this one.
Not the best quality ever, but my lines came out cleaner than usual, my boy is looking comfy, and I’m feeling proud.
I spent at least 8+ hours on this, and it shows.
To me at least. I tend to scrap my stuff before the clean line work is even started. But I’m very happy I pulled through with this one.
“I think we all got the inkling that the cake was a lie.”
A rare doodle on paper. I still think Hank Pym deserved better.
Goro got a new mask and a haircut.
Journey Into Mystery
I didn’t expect to draw Jimmy tonight, especially in a vaguely mysterious atmosphere, but I did. And I couldn’t help thinking of Loki as I was finishing him up.
I’ve always liked Pop Art, and my professors have encouraged me to play around with other artist’s styles. Not just to imitate them or anything like that, but to teach myself new things, so I gave it a shot. It was a pretty fun exercise, and I’ll have to try this again sometime.
