a lump sum of money is on the way to you
You guys, fyi, my dp is Taylor Swift gender-swapped. #hitherehornybotsthatkeepsondmingme #youcancallmedaddytay #lols
This is a me appreciation post. Shout out to me for fighting through the fog and emptiness to do what I love. Shout out to me even when I can’t do anything at all. Shout out to me for continuing to be kind to others even when it’s exhausting. Shout to me for refusing to fall to my dark thoughts.
If you reblog this, it’s about you now <3
YEE HAW 🤠
Maybe one day we can write a whole post to talk about this once and for all. For the anons who think MTR is too sad to be about Scott B. Let me explain what he did.
1. He was absolutely pretty instrumental to Taylor’s success in the beginning. He was behind her during her war against streaming services (“when I’d fight, you used to tell me I was brave”), for instance, and he was like family.
2. As Taylor rose to fame she wanted more freedom - artistic freedom. That’s how and when their relationship started going downhill - Taylor having too many disagreements with the label, about what music to put out what album covers to use etc. She also wanted to own her art. Scott B of course always thought TS owed him part of her success and his egomaniac self can’t swallow her rebel against him. He held the masters card over her head for YEARS - this is the power and control he had over her - she could buy them back only if she signed her future away to him. She left. Just check out Scott’s interview shortly after she left - it tells you all you need to know about how hurt his ego felt. “cursing my name, wishing I’d stayed”.
3. His resentment turned to revenge. 🛴 tried for years to ruin Taylor’s career and he had control over KK. Just think about how Ari tried to get rid of him but couldn’t. This is really bad stuff. The sunset clause and whatnot. Now, what does Scott selling her masters to 🛴 really mean? It means everything important to Taylor - her art and her love are all under 🛴’s control. And, he also gets to benefit from it. When TS comes out, her art will be worth more, and 🛴 will be the one benefiting from that too. This whole sale is about control and power and a revenge. It’s not just about money. It’s about screwing over TS and KK.
4. Taylor didn’t write “the best people in life are free” in her early 20s for her fans to doubt just how much she wanted to be free and how much she was oppressed. She wanted to live her truth. The masters sale was 2 assholes flexing their power and telling her “you’ll never be free”. “Rebel and you will be punished”. (See what happened in Nov 2019).
The above is just what we know, there probably is a lot more bad stuff we’ll never know. ittg tells the same story as MTR (kids are her albums, dinner gets cold is when the relationship goes downhill, begging is her literally begging for years to own her art). You get the picture. LWYMMD mv contains a million easter eggs, and we are really beginning to see it’s much more about the bad blood between TS and her label than Kimye. “You” is mostly her label and the boss, Scott.
Now tell me, is MTR too sad to be about Scott B?
Anon you said it perfectly!!
So random bruhhhh but Taylor's nails kinda looks like my PopSocket hahahaha #MidnightsAlbumRelease #PHTime #12Noon
If you put a *pew pew* to my head right now, I would not be able to tell you Taylor and Travis’ couple name for the life of me
I just saw this comment on fb. Hmmmm, I don't think TS will do that given the fact that she's highly suspicious that everyone who'll see London Boy will want him because he's got a big fucking reputation, he's so gorgeous that she can't say anything to his face, and also fit like a daydream.
So, I just watched Austin Powers: Goldmember last Friday (03/05/21) and the opening reminded me of the ME! MV. So, i searched If there were articles about how they have a bit of similarities but this was the only thing I found:
LINK
Here's the LINK to the tweet mentioned in the article:
Here's the screenshot of the tweet ....
So, since I have a lot of free time, I edited the opening of the movie and inserted a ME! cover song.
LINK to the ME! cover ....
I rarely reblog something, but dang, I'm not even excited with 1989 TV anymore.
I didn’t spend my entire summer finally feeling like an empowered woman and trading friendship bracelets with the girls and gays for Taylor to be the heterosexual poster child of the NFL; for her to be an accessory to a man who uses her name for clout and disrespects her grind by acting like he’s just as special as she is. The mere thought of Taylor’s name being included in locker room talk is actually so sickening and embarrassing. Taylor aligning herself with an organization that has closeted so many men and has a history of protecting men who are violent towards women is such a slap in the face. At least I know Barbie would NEVER date Travis Kelce.
