The story of how I first got into Project Hail Mary.
Around March of this year, I started to see tik toks of The Martian and because of how the algorithm works, if you watch one video all the way through, it will recommend more videos like it, usually from the same account. The first time I saw The Martian was in hs health class when the teacher didn't want to teach. I've been a space nerd my whole life so I was happy with this. But after seeing it in class, I didn't get the chance to watch it again cause idk, life goes on.
Anyways, I started getting more videos about The Martian and I would watch every single one of them. Then in the comments of one of the videos, someone mentioned something about the book, and that's how I found out that it was originally a book. So I read it online and it was the best thing I had read in a while.
After that, I went to look at the other books that Andy Weir had written and I saw Project Hail Mary and Artemis. The website I use to read books didn't have PHM but it had Artemis so I started reading that. After a few chapters into Artemis, it was a coincidence that I went to Barnes and Noble so I tried looking for PHM but it was like $20 while it was only $7 on Amazon. So I ordered it there and while waiting for it to arrive, I finished Artemis.
By the time I finished it, it was already May, which is finals so I didn't have time to read. Once finals ended, I didn't catch a break cause I had summer school right after. Then 6 weeks of summer school passed and I finally had time to read. It was also a coincidence that the day I finished summer school, my family decided to go to the beach. The perfect place to read! During our time there, I read the first 100 pages and I was already in love. I finished the whole book in 3 days and it was all I could think about for the next couple months.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
listen if the project hail mary movie tries to make stratt softer or more maternal i am going to start chewing through the director's wires. her being an absolute frigid bitch is like the whole appeal of her character to me

Omg I'm so glad I'm not the only one who does this :)))
Also I ran out of the rainbow tabs so with the guide I was using I should actually have more tabs on the book. The blue ones on top are the chapters and the green ones are quotes for a school report I was writing about the book.
my copy of phm and how annotated it is :)
Phil's love for Tallulah is greater than his dislike for these penguins :')
