i think it’s really funny that no one has ever truly been able to play john lennon without coming off a little cringe. it’s fascinating because john did say and do some TRULY cringe and horrendous things and yet had such innate star power and charisma within him that he just came off as cool. and absolutely no one has ever been able to successfully capture that. you can’t say that about anyone else. even elvis’ godlike charisma is copyable. but not john.
