My personal messages were read while I was asleep. I feel so violated and exposed. The trust that I once placed in you is no longer there. One of the most important cornerstone of a relationship is trust. Without it why should we stay together? I can forgive this transgression but I am afraid I'll never forget...
This is a small conceptional image of a game character that I drew up in illustrator. The game is in the style of a classic spaceship shooter. The player assumes the role of a tiny squid named Qumi--she must navigate the dangerous ocean while fighting many foes in order to reclaim her eggs. This project is being coded in Python, and will be posted for play as soon as it has been completed.... someday :]
In me I'm trying to do things right Can't take the shame Eyes are open Mind is numb Just keep moving So hard not to look back Don't do it! March onward, 1 2 3 4 Over the hill there is the promise of sunshine
Close your eyes and lean back
Feel warm kisses glide up and down your neck
Shhh...
Don’t worry, you’re safe in my arms
just you and I... nothing else matters
I tilt your chin up, and stare down into your eyes. A gentle gaze, your sweet almond eyes
ROBOTS OR DINOSAURS?
Robots, but had you asked me 20 years ago—Dinos all the way.
Like so many before me, I grew up with these characters--learning, laughing and even grieving. Seeing the muppets was like seeing an old friend again. Today as an adult, I can now see the incredible feat of work that is required to bring our lovable monsters to life. To this group of amazing beings: my heart is filled with gratitude and admiration. Thank you for all your hard work. You've touched countless hearts and minds with your messages of compassion.
Early 70’s behind the scenes of Sesame Street with the Muppets.
Where do I begin?
The confusion has set in
What am I to do?
Spread out across the floor, laying on my back looking up at the ceiling I hear her crying in the bathroom I just stare at the shadows crawling slowly across the walls Nothing inside me anymore It's almost as if I don't even care She cries and I stare up and off into space
I feel as if the waves of the ocean must, when the clouds have blocked the warmth of the sun.
Time waits for no-one
Always rolling, flying, gone!
Left behind alone...

Super cool Chineasy character illustrations.
I like them a lot, but am admittedly a bit torn on some of them as teaching tools. Although not all chinese characters are pictographs (symbols that are drawn to look like the things they represent), some are - as easily seen above with kou, the mouth, and ren, the person.
Nu, the woman, is also a pictograph - but it’s meant to represent the entire figure of a woman, head, limbs, and torso, not just the face. If you ignore the drawing around it and just focus on the character strokes, I think you can easily see her.
If characters already have pictographic roots, I don’t think it’s entirely necessary to create new ones. Particularly when other, more complex characters may later incorporate those same pictographic roots to make a new meaning - creating new ones could unnecessarily confuse a learner.
