Every dropout subscriber loves comedy, and beneath that we love psychological horror. And beneath that? Comedy again, but weirder and gay.

I have so many thoughts about Deli, Colin, Karna and Ariana that I cannot put into a coherent sentence as of current so this Tumblr post is all I have to say

Started Ravening War

Colin is very much Pib coded and this is my favourite type of Zac Oyama character

The mischievous, nothing to loose, cares too much to his detriment, son-of-a-bitch character

zac oyama PCs and kindness unbefitting of their station, of themselves. colin having violence as basically his only skill but refusing the kind of violence they committed under the fda's orders and deli's pursuit of it that follows; lapin casting fly on theo instead of himself, a moment where he could have guaranteed himself an out but instead chose to better the rest of the party's chances, ending in his own death; pib being a trickster spirit (and thus should be a certified piece of shit) but having all his trickery guided and motivated by his ultimate goal to help - to help his friends and whatever pathetic men he decides to take under his wing along the way. does anyone understand what the hell i'm talking about over here

AAAA THIS PERSON GETS IT

so Aelwyn was totally in love with Penelope right?

now just imagine. you see the girl you are in love with after getting arrested, mere days before you will be tortured for months on end (not knowing that it isn't even her) and you maybe think it will all be ok and it might work out because she hasn't been caught.

now you get kidnapped and lose a full year of your memory. to your knowledge, it's been a few days since you were arrested. you find out that was a lie.

you finally return home after being tortured for a year, and losing both your parents, and find out the girl you loved is dead. you never got to say goodbye and the last time you saw her was a lie.

and that she would rather die than see you again.

It’s kinda crazy that the events at the last few episodes of FHSY were glossed over (this is a very badly written ramble about how The Bad Kids are probably incredibly traumatised after sophomore year and it isn’t addressed much, or kind of at all)

Thinking about how The Bad Kids walked into the Forest of The Nightmare King after weeks of travelling, the constant threat that came with sleeping, being vulnerable in foreign lands and people, and that one of their best friends was kidnapped and only just retrieved with her months-of-tortured and previously evil sister a day or two ago.

And then they get to a skeleton-scattered temple of a forgotten god, their friend is violently murdered by a unicorn in front of their eyes, they do a whole bunch of drugs and after, on top of all of that, are tortured by their worst fears come to life?

Then The Bad Kids go on to face a colossal king— no, a god, AFTER having to shake off and give into their deepest fears with their war torn friends and family by their side, all for a school project worth 60% of their grade.

If Kristen Applebees had not hit that Nat 20 (tbf it had to have happened exactly that way but still), the fight would have spun out a very different way

The finale of FHSY fails narratively to address just the insane amount of emotional, mental and physical torture these children went through and because of the amount of real life time between seasons sophomore and junior year, I think we skipped over addressing that these kids are probably very traumatised

The best thing Dimension 20 has done for me personally is that it proved that creating interesting, realistic and authentic queer and diverse characters *is* possible and not an impossibly difficult challenge so many different pieces of media make it out to be

I know it won’t happen for a while but they need to bring back the NPCs in Fantasy High season 4 solely because *I* miss them a lot and one can only rewatch all 3 seasons of FH so many times over and over again before losing their minds

lying awake at night thinking about emily axford characters and friendship. fig giving gorgug drumsticks to help him deal with his rage. sofia taking a rat into her heart without hesitation. calliope's dedication to calder throughout his absence. 'maybe im not an artist maybe im just a really good friend'. just. the acknowledgement that friendship is central to a person's life. not something that fills up space until romance can truly make you whole but something fundamental to one's existence

something about angwyn saying "I will find what is wrong with your mind and I will change it" and adaine telling him "you've been trying to do that for a very long time and I'm sorry to tell you that it has not worked" and jawbone shaking her "having panic attacks is not a character flaw" and adaine saying "this medicine is great!" and summoning a familiar and learning how to help herself and how to channel and manage her anxiety and live with it, and learning how to love herself and love her brain even though it's fucking hard but doing it anyway because "I know that my friends do love me, so maybe there is hope for us yet" so if that's enough, oh god maybe thats enough, maybe she is enough, maybe her brain is enough, is making me. feel. things.,

do you ever think about how the bad kids were only just children during s1?

Gorgug was 14 years old when he first died and had ended up in that dark forest, and when he was resurrected had to live through the terror that followed him to the waking world with the thought that he ended up in hell, because he was only 14, just a child, what had he done to end up in such a place? was it a result of his rage, the rage he was constantly trying to tamper down, was his simple nature fundamentally horrible enough to automatically buy him a seat in hell?

Kristen was only 14 when she had her entire existence turned upside down, everything she'd known and believed in unraveled in just one day. She had died, she'd met god(!), the god that had spoken to her, guided her, given her reason and given her purpose, and yet the meeting was disappointing, and it left Kristen confused and scared and wondering what to do next, what path to take if the one with Helio, the path she'd been walking her whole life, turned out to be leading to a destination she didn't want.

And isn't it scary, isn't it terrifying to end up in the place you've heard so many horrible rumors about, and for all those violent tales to turn out to be true? The moment Adaine walked into her new school all her fears were confirmed, and in just a few hours she went from bitterly mourning not being at Hudol to stealing an important book from the library, from sitting in detention to holding a broken out of shape ladle, sleeves of her uniform ripped and blood smearing her clothes and face, a body at her feet of a women who surely did not deserve anything that Adaine had just done to her.

Isn't it scary when everything suddenly goes so awfully, horribly wrong, and now you're stuck in a party with a group of people you don't know at all, who you didn't choose, and you're all just kids having to witness all these things you didn't sign up for and yet everything is only just beginning, and now you can't go back

okay but when Older Adaine said "I don't know why I was so easy to discard" and "our parents didn’t love us and maybe there is a part of us that made that easy"

and when Illusion Fig asked "what do you think will happen when Ayda sees the real you?" and Fig said "i hope she finds something in me that I didn’t know was there"

and when Ayda said "the fact that i can’t find a redeeming quality in myself doesn’t mean that someone as brilliant as Figueroth can’t find something in me worthwhile"

and when Baron said "time will pass and everyone will find someone who matters more to them than you" and Riz said "I'm the little shrimp of this crew"

and when Fabian said "I don't know what I will be, but I like the direction I'm going"

and when Adaine said "I think the only answer is that we have to keep looking for love"

fuck you Brennan Lee Mulligan & Gang for making me cry my fucking eyes out

When Aesop told the story of the Boy Who Cried Wolf to Pinocchio, it really got to me how everyone immediately became protective of him and started snapping at Aesop, defending this abused little boy's right to lie and make mistakes. Those things that are so universally punished in the morals of stories like that. Those things that any person should have a right to do, especially a kid, and especially a kid in a really bad situation.

It really brought home for me how much of Neverafter is about kids misbehaving or disobeying their elders, as kids tend to do, and getting disproportionately punished for it with cruelty. Pinocchio, Red, and even Gerard and Rosamund. Jack, in Timothy's story. And I think it's really heartwarming to see those ideas rejected. No, actually, sometimes you need to lie in order to save someone. No, sometimes, your elders don't know what the hell they're talking about. Sometimes they don't have your best interest at heart. And really, you should be given grace and allowed to make mistakes and learn and grow either way, without being horrifically punished and traumatized for it. Especially as a child.

Idk, something about how viscerally angry it made everyone at the table to see this story preached to a little boy who has suffered more than enough for things that he should've had the right to do in the first place. It felt very beautiful and comforting. What a loving and kind story that is

Something about Adaine saying "Is this justice?" to Ankarna and Crystal saying "What about them? Where's their justice?" to Lilith. Rage as a teenage girl. I don't need your sword. I don't have to believe in a god. You have seven believers right here. You get it.

The bit with Ankarna after the fight where she’s asking them if they want her sword but no they don’t want or need her sword but they need her and Justice isn’t always angry and violent but Justice can be a soft and sweet embrace and a whisper of “it’s okay, you were hurt in the past and your feelings are justified, your pain is justified, I am justifying them and you don’t need a sword but a shelter and I am that shelter” you know I’m going kind of crazy

Is there any greater blasphemy than that of an angel who fell in love with a demon?

He came to the earth at the dawn of its creation, his directive to enact God's will. The Archangels stressed upon him that, in so doing, it was imperative that he oppose The Enemy. They told him what he would face: one of the Fallen, a demon.

He thought he understood the nature of this creature of darkness.

But he was wrong.

Where there ought to have been ugliness, he found only beauty.

Where he expected cruelty, he found kindness.

Heaven had prepared him to thwart the wiles of a heart of evil, yet he found one that harbored goodness, gentleness.

A demon who protected the weak, the innocent.

A demon who mourned, who grieved.

How could Heaven have been so utterly mistaken? For he was assured that the demon had the devil in him.

But in this creature's soul, he can see God.

Beautiful. Kind. Gentle. Good.

To say nothing of his cleverness, his wit, his charm, his appeal.

The demon intrigues him. He subverts his every expectation. He is a fascination.

More than all that.

The demon makes him laugh.

Makes him feel.

Listens to him. Challenges him.

Saves him.

And as the centuries pass, he finds that in the demon's presence, an emptiness he didn't know he had is filled; as though the broken edges of their spirits fit together; as though they were made for one another.

He knows the Host of Heaven whisper.

They call it blasphemy. Abomination.

They wonder in horror:

How could an angel fall in love with a demon?

The truth is...

How could he have done anything else.

QSMP Relationship Chart:

I love how despite all his cheating allegations, Foolish has only attempted “cheating” twice

Meanwhile all those who hold these allegations against him have flirted at him AT LEAST ONCE!!

I just think it’s quite hilarious

I was rewatching the Hitting on 16 vod and holy shit I think I cracked the code to as why the dynamic between c!crimeboys in the final c!Wilbur lore stream felt off.

excerpt from Hitting on 16 written by Wilbur

No, because now all of this makes sense. The finale of Wilbur’s story makes sense. c!crimeboy's dynamic isn’t what it used to be in Lmanberg. It’s changed and c!Tommy is used to the way Wilbur uses words now. It has “no effect on Tommy anymore. They just make him a little frightened”

Tommy: “You’re scaring me” Wilbur: “I don’t want to scare you” Tommy: “Well you are Will!”

This exchange makes sense.

“He felt he had done something wrong simply by posing his pov and he felt like the antagonist when all he wanted was an answer”

The entire stream, whatever felt off between them, it all makes sense now

c!Tommy wants answers to his questions. c!Wilbur is unwilling to give them to him. That is, until c!Tommy resorted to violence just as he had seen was effective all throughout his childhood midst war and more prominently in his exile

“I don’t know why I did that… I didn’t use to be this angry” Frightened of abandonment because he could see the fragments of a broken man, his brother, who had been held together with a single bandage since his revival slowly start falling out of place.

And all c!Tommy wanted was an answer to his questions.

But Tommy’s only ever been antagonised for them.
