TW opinions, god I hate opinions but here we go.
While I think that mins chapter in butterfly soup two wasn’t the greatest, I don’t think it was a chapter based on any character growth or plot, but rather a commentary made from a broader perspective.
Min being ignorant was supposed to note on something that isn’t talked about very often, racism between racial minorities. It was supposed to draw attention to the fact that these things happen between racial minorities as well, it’s not just between the majorities.
This isn’t justifying what she said, and butterfly soup didn’t justify it. They gave an explanation to it, mins own pride and upbringing, but the game specifically stated that this wasn’t an excuse.
Mins actions were explained, not excused.
And in the end, they handled it maturely, talking about it properly. While I think the execution of the chapter could’ve been better, the message has been mostly brushed over by the community.
They’re so real
Diya, gently nudging Akarsha aside with their foot: Akarsha, move out of the way so I don’t trip on you.
Akarsha: You kick Akarsha? You kick their body like the football? Oh! Oh! Jail for Diya! Jail for Diya for one thousand years!
