so cute 🥺🥺
Very sweet.
I don’t think I posted this before, but this is Abigail and Jack’s tent. I know they’re lucky to have a tent, but it just makes me so sad that this is it. There is nothing else. There is no trunk for them. There isn’t really anything except the clothes on their backs and a wooden toy horse that Jack has, probably given to him by Hosea? Not sure if is is before or after they leave Colter. That role on the upper right corner might have something, though. I know Sadie has it worse, she does because she has nothing, but she does seem to do a bit better for herself later in the game. But the living space just makes me sad, they both deserve better even when John helps later on because she had to live on next to nothing for years. I have zero doubt that Abigail is just as ashamed of this as she is of Jack not having more clothes. I did a meta that I noticed Abigail’s clothes and Sean’s clothes are the worst quality in the game and Sean’s is because he doesn’t give a fuck whereas Abigail wants every penny to go to Jack. It’s a shame they cut so much of her leaving camp out of the gang. I HC Hosea’s that he gave to Abigail which totally makes sense that he loves her so much as his own daughter and wants Jack to live the best life possible even if it isn’t much.
So this goes with my idea that Abigail DOES do stuff in camp AND works to take as little resources as possible.
The idea you had of me, who was she?

So I’ve been watching season two of Bridgerton and
no thoughts, head empty. just another book on Atlas and Lily with both their povs.
I love that when the house starts to fall apart and they watch the candle, it isn't just Mirabel running to save it. She's the only successful one because she's used to doing everything without a gift so the powers fading doesn't deter her, but she wasn't the only one wanting to try despite being the only person actively doing things to save the miracle. Throughout the movie, her sisters and cousins help. Dolores pushes Mirabel towards Luisa because of her twitching eye, Luisa pushes Mirabel to Bruno's tower, and Antonio lets Mirabel and Bruno use his room to see the future. Then we see Isabela and Camilo running to try and save that candle just as desperately as we see Mirabel run for it. The movie is centered around Mirabel trying to save the miracle and the family, but seeing all these moments that show she's not as alone as she seems to feel is beautiful

The sanctum was peaceful, the only noise came from the occasional turning of a page, or scribbling of pen on paper. From outside the sound of rain hitting the pavement could be heard, paired with the occasional boom of thunder in the distance. In the other room, a fire was burning, the occasional crack of a log added to the comfortable ambiance.
Hearing the cover of a book close, Stephen looked up. He watched your movement as you set a book aside, and reached for another. You had gone through nearly half the books in the sanctum during your time there. You were a promising student, though you never thought you could be. It took some convincing from Stephen to get you to leave the Avengers compound and come stay at the sanctum. He thought it might be the only chance the two of you had to be together more often. At least now you'd be under the same roof.
As you thumbed through the book in front of you, Stephen realized that he hadn't heard a word out of you since Wong had left. With another realization, he knew he hadn't said anything either. A pang of guilt rocked through his chest. He asked you to come here to be with him, and you barely spent any time together outside of him teaching you about magic and the sanctum. Stephen looked around, the sanctum was currently empty, you were finally alone.
Placing your head in your hand as you read through yet another passage, you felt boredom beginning to take over. Re-reading the same line in the book again, you let out a soft breath.
Suddenly, from the next room, you heard the sound of music begin to play. It echoed through the sanctum, making you look up in curiosity. Hearing footsteps, you turned to see Stephen walking towards you.
"You're playing music?" You asked curiously.
He smiled softly as he walked up to you, stopping as he stood next to you. He stared down at you silently.
"What?" You asked, suddenly feeling as though he was looking at you through a microscope.
He reached out his hand towards you as he smiled again. "Dance with me."
You look from his hand, back to his face. You smiled, your brow furrowed in curiosity. "Really?"
He nodded once. "Really."
You smiled as you took his hand. "Okay." Standing, he squeezed your hand lightly as he led you to the center of the room.
Pulling you closer to him, you set your free hand on his shoulder, he set his on your waist. Your other hands were intertwined as you began to sway smoothly to the music.
Your eyes locked for a few moments before you spoke. "Why the sudden change in pace?"
He knew you meant the change in his behavior. For the last two weeks he had barely rested, always training, reading, teaching, or going off to other sanctums.
He shook his head slightly, mainly at his self as he realized he had been neglecting your relationship. "I realized how much of an ass I've been." You frowned slightly in confusion. He continued. "I brought you here so we could be together more often, and then I got distracted with everything else. I've neglected you."
You were touched by his sudden words, but you let out a small chuckle. "I'm not a dog Stephen, I know you've been busy. I'm not mad, nor hurt. I do wish we could be together more often, but I'm willing to wait until the timing is more opportune."
He smiled, and pulled you a bit closer to him. He stared into your eyes for a moment. "I miss you."
You smiled softly, feeling your chest clench lightly. "I miss you too." You spoke softly, almost in a whisper.
"I promise I will find more time to be with you, just you, soon."
"I'll be here, whenever that is."
Your words were almost a promise. Telling him you wouldn't leave. He felt a lightness come over him, as he realized he was worried about losing you more than he knew.
Bringing his hand up from your waist, he gently caressed your face, before hooking his finger under your chin. Following the leading movement, you moved closer. The ghost of a smile played over his lips as thy hovered over yours for a moment. Finally kissing you, he pulled your body even closer to his, your chest now flush against his.
When you both broke away from the kiss, you locked eyes again, gentle adoring smiles on both your faces. Moving your head, you placed it softly against his chest, hooking your arm under his as you held him against you.
You closed your eyes as continued to sway to the music. You heard his heart beating steady in his chest, as a feeling of content washed over you. You took in a deep breath, as hi familiar scent filled your nose. A deep woodsy scent, mixed with incense and old books. It made you feel safe.
Stephen pressed his face to the top of your head, pressing a kiss into your hair. Bringing up his hand, he held the back of your head for a moment, before he hooked his finger into your hair, and brushed them through it. An intimate gesture he was fond of, especially when you were lying together in bed. As he continued to run his fingers through your hair, he closed his eyes as he rested his head against yours.
The music wasn't loud as it played through the sanctum. But as your thoughts were filled with nothing but each other, you failed to notice the presence that entered the room.
Wong stopped in his tracks as he saw the two of you. Embraced, and swaying softly to music that filled the room. He watched you two for a moment, as a wide smile spread across his face. He adored watching the two of you in moments like this, though it had been a while since he witnessed one.
Silently, he took a few steps backwards and out of the room. Sparing one more look at the two of you, he smiled again, before leaving the sanctum once again. He'd give you two some more time, he knew you both needed it.
xx End xx
