Did anyone ask for more Trevor drawings? No? Well, There it is!
Trevor meeting Shan! Despite his wolf side, I'm sure he loves the kitty, just like Resus!
I was thinking more about how Resus and Luke raise him, and I imagine Luke is much more liberal than Resus.
But here it depends on whether it's from the book or the series, because Resus in the book is much less careful than the Resus in the series, who is afraid of many things and even doesn't like to get into trouble with Luke's crazy ideas
Cleo adores her nephew, and is the only person Luke and Resus trust to let babysit.
Trevor is shy, he likes to hide behind Daddy Resus's cloak
In the image on the side he is already 10 or 11 years old.
If Scream Street wasn't a children's series, think about how Resus would be a better character than he already is.
He's amazing and iconic, but there really isn't much character development like in more mature teen sagas, but Resus still manages to be a very complex character.
SIt would have been really cool to see him grow over the years, I know he could have been an excellent leader one day. And despite his constant joking and being very ironic, he is very mature on some occasions
Can we talk about how perfect the Negative family is?
Resus is 10 years old, but in his intentions towards his family we see how independent and responsible he is. Okay, he is a bit weird, but he knows how to take things seriously when necessary.
He also takes charge of many situations without his parents having to ask him to. He is respected in his family environment, his opinions are taken seriously and his parents have never put his authority over him, treating him as an equal, even though he was very young.
He also talks several times about his vampire culture, actually taking pride in his lineage.
Kian is only 6/7 years old, but think about it, he managed to survive alone, without his mother, until he was found by the movers, while being chased by people with pitchforks!
Resus talks several times about the past of vampires, and explains that they developed agility and balance skills to escape pitchforks, torches and stakes, skills that he managed to inherit even though he was almost normal.
So, the vampire parents explain to their children from an early age about the history of vampire persecution, and teach and encourage them to be independent so they can survive on their own, even when supposedly out of danger.
I must commend the Negative family for the excellent creation of Resus. (Even though he carries body parts inside his cape and offends human rights with his jokes)
I know Cleo's story itself is about her not growing up, and Tee will probably never grow up either, BUT, I needed to imagine them as adults, I love this friendship
Imagine that Eefa did a spell for Cleo, I don't know. I mean, if the cat accidentally made a potion for him to have 777 lives, why can't a witch do the opposite too?
I was thinking about Halloween being "the most romantic day of the year" on Scream Street, but they don't tell you how that day works.
So I decided to invent that there is a Dance , inspired by Monsters High and EAH's "day of eternal love" (Forgive me if the name is wrong, I speak Portuguese)
Então eu desenhei Luke e Cleo, em breve desenharei Resus, como eu os imagino naquele baile, quando eles têm uns 17 anos.
I imagined the option of it being a masked ball, so I drew their masks, but that doesn't really matter.
Since it's a party full of monsters, they expose their most monstrous sides, like Luke exposing his ears and tail.
I'd love to hear your own Valentine's Day headcannons from the citizens of Scream Street.
Today I read Scream Street 5, 6 and 7
I'm just surprised at how quickly things have matured. I don't know if it's just me, but I thought from book 5 to 7 things got really heavy. In book 7 the characters They look extremely tired and stressed. They don't laugh at their own jokes because it seems like they only make jokes to keep from freaking out!
Luke and Resus have been fighting throughout Book 7, but it's simply because they're tired and freaking out! Luke is doing stupid things and Resus is very serious, and it's confusing to anyone watching them Having so much fun during the other books! The poor guys deserve a minute of peace :/
That said, I loved it, I'm looking forward to reading the next ones.
Here are Resus and Kian! Resus being 17, and Kian being 9/10. (A friend did the math, vampires age 2 times slower)
How I imagine this party will work:
It's a dance to celebrate love, so couples and friends have fun together. It lasts from sunset to sunrise, with half of that time being a time for families and even children, and then until sunrise, a moment for couples and lovers, with romantic and slow music.
Resus' mask represents his vampire half, as he still feels bad, even at 17, about pretending to be a vampire, especially at a party to exalt his monster side.
In book 7, Luke and Resus fight all the time, But at no point do they make peace, or talk about their differences.
The truth is that Luke is desperate and having bad plans, and Resus is stressed with everything that is happening, and guilt probably consumes them both, after all, it all started because of them.
So I took advantage of the perfect moment when they get stuck in the office, and inspired by the amazing fanfic of RatLover202, I decided to rewrite the scene the way I imagined it, and I made a drawing of the fic :D
The tag says about the ship "Luke/resus", but you can ignore it because there's nothing really explicit, I wanted to really focus on the friendship and how they need each other.
It's posted on AO3 in case anyone is interested, on the profile of a great friend who helped me write it :)
I just finished reading Blood of Witch
I knew that Resus was walking a Tightrope. BUT I DIDN'T KNOW HE WOULD FALL. I was in shock when I saw that he actually fell, hit his head, lost a lot of blood and his bundles, two other CHILDREN, had to watch and carry him to emporium. Like, isn't that kind of heavy when you think they're 10 years old??
Is dropping a child from a building and making him bleed, and having his friend sacrifice something very important to save him, really children's literature?
That said, I'm loving it. Looking forward to the next one.
