Can we talk about how strong a character GENYA SAFIN is !!!
The part where she confesses poisoning the king and how the poison she made would take away years that he would never get back, how she POISONED HER OWN SKIN SO EVERY TIME HE TOUCHED HER HE WAS CONSUMING THE POISON and then so it wouldn't harm her, SHE BURNT IT OFF HER SKIN and then tailored herself. When I read the "I am not ruined, I am ruination." I got chills.
HELLO THE SCENE WHERE INEJ IS PERFORMING AND SOMEONE MAKES A RACIST COMMENT AND ZOYA GOES "SHE'S SULI" AND THEN AND THEN LATER WHEN INEJ AND ZOYA FIGHT THE VOLCRA TOGETHER>>>>>>
I Stan our two Suli Queens.
“And you think it was sunrise I was waiting for and not my queen. Do you not hear her footfalls? She has never quite managed the trick of hiding them as well as one of the Folk. Surely you've heard of her, Jude Duarte, who defeated the redcap Grima Mog, who brought the Court of Teeth to their knees? She's forever getting me out of scrapes. Truly, I don't know what I would do without her.”

Marvel sweetie you didn't have to take the "when pride month is over, gay people will disappear" thing too far<3
"Kaz is... I don't know, like no one I've ever known. He surprises me." "Yes, like a hive of bees in your dresser drawer." Jesper laughed. "Just like that."
"So what are we doing here?" asked Inej. "Jesper turned back to the sea, feeling his cheeks heat. " Hoping for honey, I guess. And praying not to get stung." Inej bumped her shoulder against his. "Then at least we're both the same kind of stupid."
"I don't know what your excuse is Wraith, I'm the one who can never walk away from a bad hand." She looped her arm in his. "That makes you a rotten gambler. But an excellent friend." "You're too good for him you know." "I know. So are you."

“Apologies, Lady—” “I’m twenty-two,” she said flatly. “And I think we city guards see a great deal more than you palace princesses.”
But Nesryn turned back and leaned a hand on the table. “I saw her face last night, Brullo, and it’s as pretty as before. Don’t you have a wife to ogle, anyway?” Aelin snorted. “I think I rather like you, Nesryn Faliq.”
“How good’s your accuracy, Faliq?” “I don’t miss,” Nesryn said.
Nesryn said, “Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Stay the course, but also plot another one. Adapt.”
"Dorian would fix the world, make it better. But if he’s gone, then I will find another way to attain that future. And another one after that, if I have to. I will keep getting back up, no matter how many times those butchers shove me down.”~ Nesryn Faliq

Thinking about how "No one is ever the villain of their own story" and "We are all someone's monster" are opposites but the same.
I love it when characters say "Please don't punch me for this" or "Live long enough to hate me for this" before kissing their love interest IT'S THE SUPERIOR ENEMIES TO LOVERS TROPE
Some poems were easier than others. Some were inscrutable. I was thinking that maybe I did know the meaning of that word.
I got to thinking that poems were like people. Some people you got right off the bat. Some people you just didn’t get—and never would get.
