me, seeing someone with my body type: nice
me, seeing my own body: no
A vast literature of sociology research shows time after time, women in science are deemed to be inferior to men and are evaluated as less capable when performing similar or even identical work. This systemic devaluation of women results in an array of real consequences: shorter, less praise-worthy letters of recommendation; fewer research grants, awards, and invitations to speak at conferences; and lower citation rates for their research. Such wide-ranging devaluation of women’s work makes it harder for them to progress in the field. Given the enormous amount of data to support these findings, and given the field in question, one might think male scientists would use these outcomes to create a more level playing field. But a recent paper showed that in fact, male STEM faculty assessed the quality of real research that demonstrated bias against women in STEM as being low; instead the male faculty favored fake research, designed for the purposes of the study in question, which purported to demonstrate that no such bias exists. Why do men in science devalue such research and the data it produces? If anyone should be willing to accept what the peer-reviewed research consistently shows and use it to correct the underlying assumptions, it should be scientists.

QUEENS !!!!
If you call yourself a Pristin stan but you fat shame Kyla then you don’t have the right to call yourself a fan. If you refuse to support Kyla because she’s “too fat to be an idol” then you can take your disgusting, ugly asses home and leave Pristin and Kyla alone because they deserve fans who love them wholeheartedly instead of fuckfaces who are too caught up giving shits about things that don’t need to be given shits about.
Her first Christmas Tree experience!
Jacqueline Audry (1908-1977) was the first woman to make a career and enjoy commercial success as a film director in France. Her films often dealt with feminist themes and strong female characters, and were censored for their controversial depictions of politics and sexuality.
Her first feature film, Les malheurs de Sophie, was released in 1946, followed by three other films based on Collette novels. The 1951 film The Pit of Loneliness was perhaps her most controversial, heavily censored and restricted because of the portrayal of a lesbian relationship.
The Stanford prison experiment tapes were so stupid when I watched them in AP psych and so stupid when I watch this film about them. Literally they could’ve all sat and played cards and got $15 a day to tell ghost stories all day and be best friends. But masculinity and whiteness and power created this violent irrationality that positioned young ass men to be met with brutality and trauma and disrespect even when it was obviously taken too far. and it makes no sense. If someone put me in a room with Black girls and said I would get paid $90 a day (that’s the equivalent apparently) to be a prison guard, do you know how fast I’d be sitting with them and learning about them and exchanging Instagrams and like.. sleeping.. like what the fuck was the point of any of that…
NOTHING ABOUT THIS STORY IS HUMANE. FUCK ICE AND FUCK HARSH IMMIGRATION POLICIES. NO HUMAN IS ILLEGAL
