I want to bring another fundraiser to your attention. In the link above, Fadi Ayyad has told the story of his family, who lost their home in Northern Gaza and have been forced to evacuate to the south.
Fadi is a high school student who wishes to graduate and further his studies. And his father, Ayman is a well-respected and known Gazan educator, who has lost his source of livelihood during this war.
Their lives have become a constant struggle for survival, from trying to secure what food and water they can to the constant bombardment and raids by the Israeli military which threaten to take their lives at any time.
Their situation is dire. They require $35,000 to evacuate their 8 family members and after 1 month they have not even gone over $1000 yet.
Help this family reach their goal and evacuate to Egypt, where they can get back a semblance of stability and safety. Donate if you can, and please share!

Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing well.
A person named Reem sent me a DM asking if I could pin her story and put more of a spotlight on her fundraiser. So I’d like to go ahead and do just that, I’d like to tell you all a bit about her and her family. I hope that you could spare a moment to read about the Shehab family please.
The Shehab family is a group of 8: Reem, her husband Fahed, their young children Sahar, Dana, Mona, Malak, Yehya, and the children’s grandmother Mona. Sadly, all of them are currently trapped in Gaza amidst the dangers the Israeli occupation has brought and are attempting to evacuate to a safe place.
They’ve faced many hardships from being displaced once again from their home in Gaza after it was bombed after already being displaced many other times before to having to deal with inhumane conditions and the constant threat of death and destruction looming over their heads.

What I’ve mentioned here from Reem's story barely scratches the surface of the struggles that the Shehab family is currently dealing with. I encourage you all to read Reem and her family’s full story on their GoFundMe page with love and care in your hearts for them.
I’ve heard about a lot of Palestinian users getting their accounts shadowbanned or flat out deleted, and unfortunately, Reem has been a victim of this and has had to use her daughter’s account to reach out to others. I encourage you all to follow @monashehab for updates on her and her family’s situation, and so that we can better support them.

it is so incredibly sad to constantly see kids on instagram and tiktok who are younger than my brother have to literally beg for shelter, food, water, medicine, and their right to exist as human beings

I feel like ive seen quite a few gfms getting passed around and ive observed that a lot of them have stories of such exceptional people who have achieved so much, or were going to before the genocide cut it off. And i really commend them for it, i really do.
But it breaks my heart that palestinians reaching out to us feel the need to have to prove that they are they are good people who are worth the support, like theyre only worth being supported if they had a good gpa or were exceptional in some way.
They shouldnt have to prove that theyre beneficial to the economy somehow to be worth the support. They shouldnt have to be exceptional to deserve help. Our governments are putting them through this, both in the west and around the world too. They shouldnt have to prove anything. We owe them this

there is something horrifically grim to it, but illustrations for gaza and palestinians tend to catch more mass attention that actual photos of people. this made me feel incredibly helpless for a long while, seeing both how people would rather look at a neat drawing of red black green and white than look a human in the eyes, and how online platforms would rather push a viral drawing while suppressing those begging for help at the same time.
a way to cope with this feeling has been taking advantage of it to directly guide people to helping palestinians.
if art gets better traction, then there’s an incredible amount of good that can be done by creating art that immediately links to fundraisers. creating art of the many images of those who are asking for help.
within hours of posting my drawing, there has been jumps in the thousands for bashar from gaza’s fundraiser. it’s a small effort in the grand scheme of things. it’s not a fix it. but it’s something good. please take care of each other and do what you can. i think this could help a lot of people if a lot of people did it.

‼️Please Read. After a discussion with my Cousin we decided to start up a pilot Soup kitchen in Al Hitana Omdurman serving lentil stew fortified with peanut butter to double the available calories in the stew as well as bread.
The kitchen has been running for 3 days now and has served on average 80 people a day, representing 80 households so potentially we’ve been helping 400 people a day.
Over 90% of those who have shown up to the kitchen over the past 3 days have been women and Children and for some it will be the only meal they get that day.
From tomorrow we’d like to scale up to making two 65 litre pots of stew a day which is 160 servings (households).
Currently we’ve purchased enough supplies to run the kitchen at full capacity for two weeks but we’d like to make this a permanent thing and that needs external support.

Maternity kits, medical threads and scissors, water testing kits, anesthetics, mobile desalination units, etc do you see the pattern? Israel is not only starving the people of Gaza but it also wants to ensure the spread of disease through contaminated water and surgical tools, as well as ensuring injured Palestinians suffer through horrendous pain.
