Andor having Mon Mothma’s daughter gravitate towards the oppressive practices of her family’s ancestral culture as a way to rebel against a mother that has purposefully distanced herself from them is both one of the smartest and cruelest storytelling moves that this show has done to date. I’ve seen a few artists do their take on this before but I saw @ollovae3 mention it on Insta earlier - and then this happened?

They have more elements from the source inspiration for their original designs, so they look more human and less like barbarian-monsters. One element that I'd like to undeline is the Bantha tusks on their clothes. Each Tusken person has their own Bantha and they only get one in their lives, so the baby teeth from their Bantha are kept and treated like precious reminders of that moment when their Bantha chose them. Everything they're wearing is different shades of brown to blend in with different parts of the desert. I finally finished this comic! Took me forever but it’s here! I’ve always found it fascinating that the three protagonists of each Star Wars trilogy is from a desert planet. I try to imagine how they reacted to seeing rain for the first time, the parallels between their situations at its strongest

I came up with this idea literally last year, and didn’t sit down to draw it until now. Personally, I think each page’s success at getting ideas across got better and better haha. This also took me forever to finish, but I’m glad its done and I can now show it to you guys!
