there's a really funny 3d printing controversy going on btw.
if you don't know, there's a very popular 3d printing model out there called "benchy". this is used for benchmarking your 3d printer because it's a difficult print and will help test it out.
this is so widely used that people make their own little versions of it, remixing the 3d model to make benchy look cooler and stuff. however, a new company owns the benchy license. they are sending copyright takedowns to all those who wrongfully uploaded the benchy model.
of course, this is pissing off the 3d printing community greatly. everyone loved benchy and have used it for years. so someone on reddit decided to make a new model that is designed as a 3d printing stress test. one that works a lot like benchy, and people are freely able to edit it as they please. you know what they called it?
Should I share more WiPs? I'm gonna try sharing more WiPs. Dunno if this is something people would be interested in.
I'm planning something a little more complicated next. There was one more Asuka sketch that I really liked, and I was envisioning it as being part of its own scene. So far I'm just at a preparatory stage, blocking the scene and moving shapes around, but I think it shows promise.
If you want to read a little more about my thought process feel free to check under the cut!
In Tekken lore, Asuka takes it upon herself to be a peacekeeper, which may or may not be an excuse to get into street fights with a moral high ground. I wanted to take a chance to portray her in her element, breaking up a fight between criminals and getting ready to throw hands herself, enjoying every moment of it.
By necessity of the scene it's a bit of a crowded stage, and I feel it requires a bit of planning before jumping into it. I naturally still want Asuka to be the star of the composition, merely framed by the two thughs in the foreground and not overshadowed by them. I'm gonna work on colors and contrasts to make her pop more, but the scene needs to work just as well by value and detail density alone.
I'm pushing my skill level a little with this one, but you know, there's a time for staying in your comfort zone and there's a time for venturing outside. I'm gonna do my best!

Not knowing the lore of the characters you suppose to admire makes you deserver of a lore bomb.
