STUDY TIPS (note to self):
Sometimes, messy notes work better. Spending years on studyblr and studytwt cemented the idea in my mind that my notes have to be picture-worthy with perfect handwriting and an aesthetically-pleasing color-coding system ALL THE TIME. And while I acknowledge that this works well for others, it simply doesn't for me.
My brain works really quickly when it's trying to understand a topic. So quickly that I often have multiple ideas at a time, and with the addition of my professor's inputs or my classmates' inputs, I really needed to speed up in taking down notes. This meant that my handwriting gets REALLY messy, to the point that only I can decipher it. But the extra time that my messy handwriting buys me (compared to the painstakingly slow neat handwriting) allows me to process the info, jot down the essential points, MAKE IMPORTANT CONNECTIONS BETWEEN THE IDEAS, doodle maps and symbols, and so on.
But what really helped my note taking process is having my own set of notes from the readings in advance (yes I know this isn't groundbreaking at all but for me IT IS). The night before, I wrote down notes + questions and clarifications that I wanted to address during the class. Then, during the class itself, I added my professor's inputs/classmates' inputs in the remaining spaces of my notes near each topic. This left me with pages that are filled with information both from the readings and the class discussion.
Jotting down notes from the discussion also helped greatly with retention. Since the information from the readings are still fresh in my mind, I was able to easily link the related ideas with the inputs from class. As a result, I remembered and understood stuff better.
Again, not groundbreaking stuff. But see, I've been on studyblr since junior high school (I am now a 4th year college student so that's like, a decade ago). I've been on studytwt since my 2nd year in college. Everywhere I look, I see photos of neat handwriting, color-coded notes, and overall aesthetically-pleasing study set-ups. For years, I tried so hard to do all these but I could never maintain them. I got so caught up with making things pretty that I barely remembered anything at all.
My brain is inherently messy. I always worked better on a chaotic desk, with multiple notebooks open for my notes and doodling/free space for writing down. My handwriting is messy when I write quick. My brain operated by firing multiple connected ideas at once. Neat and tidy don't work when I'm still trying to process or iron out my thoughts. Neat and tidy only works later during exam season, when I'm revising my notes so I can see shit better.
Anyway, this is just what works for me.
tl;dr: write notes in advance based on the class readings but leave space for more jotting down so that you can squeeze in info from the class discussion. Messy handwriting sometimes works better when you're still processing stuf. There's plenty of time to make them pretty later on during revision. Also, neat and pretty doesn't work for everyone (don't let studyblr and studytwt fool you).
Just study from without hesitate

Self-improvement starts with setting clear, achievable goals. Break down big objectives into smaller tasks to make progress manageable. Consistency is key—establish daily habits that align with your goals and stick to them.
Lifelong learning is another important aspect. Take advantage of resources like books, podcasts, and online courses to expand your knowledge. Learning something new every day helps keep your mind active and adaptable.
Surround yourself with positive, supportive people who challenge and inspire you. A healthy environment encourages personal growth and keeps you motivated. Lastly, practice self-reflection regularly to identify areas for improvement and stay aligned with your goals.
By focusing on these steps, you’ll steadily build a better version of yourself.

Incorporating these tips into your routine can help you feel balanced and refreshed!
As students, we often find ourselves buried under a mountain of assignments, exams, and extracurricular activities. While it’s important to work hard and stay dedicated, it’s equally important to give your mind and body the rest they deserve. In this blog post, we’ll explore why rest is crucial and how to balance work and relaxation effectively.
Rest isn’t just about sleeping or being lazy; it’s an essential part of maintaining mental and physical well-being. Continuous study sessions without breaks can lead to burnout, stress, and decreased productivity. Taking regular breaks helps to:
• Refresh your mind: Breaks improve focus and retention of information.
• Boost creativity: Rest allows your brain to form new ideas and solutions.
• Reduce stress: Taking time off helps in managing anxiety and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
The key to effective studying is incorporating regular breaks into your schedule. Here’s a general guideline on how often to rest:
1.The Pomodoro Technique: Study for 25 minutes and then take a 5-minute break. After four cycles, take a longer break of 15-30 minutes.
2.Hourly Breaks: If you prefer longer study sessions, try studying for 50 minutes and then taking a 10-minute break.
3.Daily Rest: Make sure you have time each day to unwind and do something you enjoy—whether it’s exercising, reading, or spending time with friends.
4.Weekly Rest: Dedicate at least one day a week where you limit your study time and focus on relaxing and recharging.
Thank you!
Studying can be a challenging task, but with the right approach, it becomes much easier and more productive. Here are a few tips to help you study effectively:
1.Create a Study Plan
Set specific goals and break them into manageable tasks. A good plan will help you stay organized and focused on what needs to be done.
2.Find Your Ideal Study Environment
Choose a place that is quiet and free from distractions. Whether it’s a library, a café, or your room, make sure it’s a place where you can concentrate.
3.Use Active Learning Techniques
Engage with the material actively. Summarize what you’ve learned, ask questions, and discuss topics with others to deepen your understanding.
4.Take Regular Breaks
Don’t study for hours without rest. Take short breaks to refresh your mind. This will improve your focus and keep your energy levels up.
5.Stay Positive and Consistent
Studying is a long-term process. Stay motivated and don’t get discouraged by setbacks. Consistency is key to success.
Mental Health Tips for Students:🎀
Here are a few simple tips to help maintain your mental well-being:
1.Set Realistic Goals: Don’t overload yourself with too many tasks at once. Break your goals down into manageable steps and celebrate small achievements along the way.
2.Take Breaks: Regular breaks during study sessions can boost your productivity and reduce stress. Try going for a walk, listening to music, or meditating for a few minutes.
3.Stay Connected: Make time to talk to friends and family. Socializing can be a great way to relieve stress and get emotional support.
4.Sleep and Eat Well: Proper rest and a balanced diet play a significant role in your mental health. Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep a night and try to include nutritious foods in your diet.
5.Ask for Help: If you’re feeling overwhelmed, don’t hesitate to reach out. Many universities offer mental health resources, including counseling and support groups.
Remember, it’s okay to not be okay sometimes. Prioritizing your mental health will help you not only perform better in your studies but also enjoy the university experience to the fullest.
1.Set Clear Goals: Break your larger objectives into smaller, specific tasks for each study session. This makes your progress more manageable and keeps you motivated.
2.Create a Study Schedule: Plan your study time in advance and stick to a routine. This helps develop discipline and ensures you cover all the topics you need.
3.Use Active Learning: Instead of just reading or highlighting, actively engage with the material. Try summarizing what you learn, ask yourself questions, or teach the topic to someone else.
4.Take Regular Breaks: Study in short bursts, like 25-30 minutes, followed by a 5-minute break. This method, known as the Pomodoro Technique, helps keep your mind fresh and focused.
5.Stay Organized: Keep your notes, books, and digital files organized. Having a clean and structured workspace helps you focus better and saves time during study sessions.
6.Use Multiple Resources: Don’t rely on one textbook or resource. Combine materials like videos, online courses, or apps to enhance your understanding of the subject.
7.Review Regularly: Revisit your notes frequently. Regular review helps move information from short-term to long-term memory, making it easier to recall during exams.
8.Practice Past Exams or Problems: If possible, work on past exam papers or similar problems. This prepares you for the format and helps identify areas that need more attention.
These tactics can help you stay efficient, organized, and motivated during your studies.
How to Learn a New Language: Simple Tips for Success
Learning a new language can be both fun and challenging. It opens doors to new cultures, experiences, and even career opportunities. If you’re ready to take on this journey, here are some quick tips to help you succeed.
1. Set Clear Goals
Decide why you want to learn the language—whether for travel, work, or personal growth. Having a clear goal will keep you motivated and on track.
2. Immerse Yourself
Surround yourself with the language. Watch movies, listen to music, and read in the language as much as you can. This exposure will help you absorb vocabulary and sentence structures naturally.
3. Practice Speaking Early
Start speaking the language from the very beginning, even if it’s just a few words. Practice with native speakers or use language-learning apps that focus on conversation.
4. Be Consistent
Consistency is key. Study a little every day instead of cramming all at once. Daily practice helps keep the language fresh in your mind.
5. Embrace Mistakes
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes—they’re part of learning. The more you practice, the better you’ll get, so stay positive and persistent.
6. Use Multiple Resources
Try different tools like apps, flashcards, podcasts, and grammar books. Mixing resources keeps learning interesting and well-rounded.
Conclusion
Language learning takes time and effort, but by setting clear goals, practicing daily, and embracing mistakes, you’ll improve steadily. Enjoy the process, and soon, you’ll be able to communicate confidently in a new language!
Gotta make a comeback!
Time to open eyes into the world of pre-PG examination. Enough of being a mediocre now!
I'm giving myself 21 days to break this slothy lifestyle and getting back to my topper girl era.
How am I gonna do it?
1. Wake up early and eat the frog.
2. Plan for the day first thing in the morning.
3. Utilize those 10-15 minutes between classes, in lunch time etc for reviewing class notes.
4. Meditation and eye exercises.
5. Keep a track of how many hours did I study.
6. Cut down on content consumption.
7. Cut down on dopamine.
8. Living more intentionally.
Wasted most of your day and feeling frustrated?
Well, this happens to me all the time. I get angry on myself and somehow waste the rest of the time too. But....
Where there is a problem, there is a solution too🤗
So... I have decided to solve this seemingly big issue of mine.
1. Whenever such a thing happens I take my journal and write:
and start again.
2. I forgive myself each time I ruin my schedule.
3. I close my eyes and imagine as if my whole day has been super productive and I didn't waste time at all.
These things might sound stupid but have worked for me.
Galtiyaan sab se hoti hain...lekin sudharna sabko nahi aata! (Everyone makes mistakes, but not all of them know how to tackle them)
By constant efforts, practice and patience, you can achieve anything that you want... ANYTHING!
Big dreams seem to be impossible untill we start working for them.
Always remember:
It is gonna be difficult on day one...even more difficult for the next few days...but slowly it becomes a part of our routine. No extra push or effort is required then❤️
So, even if you are starting today, smile...be proud of yourself❤️❤️
Keep grinding 🍁
I couldn't post anything cuz I had a viral fever🤧
Things won't always be as we expect. This time taught me something big ...
We all have dreams... We all want to earn, spend time with family, eat our favourite food, do something for our country, have a dog, dance in the rain(yes... that's a dream too) etc etc. And what are we doing? Waiting for the right time to start living our dreams? Seriously?
There will be a time in life when we will have everything thing but our body will become a limitation itself. We should be thankful to God for each moment of good health 🙏
Let's not wait for the perfect "time" and start living every moment... Enjoy every small thing🤗 Happiness is a choice❤️
And....
Day 43
April 2nd 2021
I dunno why,,, but I can't take pretty(or, even clear) notes while studying with all my focus...
I prefer giving more time to actually studying than making my notes look "cute".
(To be honest I lack patience that is required to have pretty notes🤭🤭)
And...like they say:
"Perfect" is the enemy of "done'!!!
Day 29
March 19th 2021
Staying hydrated and healthy is super important for physical as well as mental health.
So let's make it a point to not ruin our health in order to save 30 minutes!
Day 26
March 16th 2021
The conventional pomodoro does not work for me. So I have modified it a lil bit and it's really helpful.
I break my study session into 30 minutes sub-sessions and switch between two subjects every 30 minutes. No breaks. One session is usually 2 hours long and productivity is high.
Give it a try!
Day 24
March 14th 2021
Fail: First attempt in learning...Really?
We all are very enthusiastic when we begin...but towards the end all kinds of negative emotions and self doubt surround us. People say that you should believe in yourself...but hey! Is it that easy? Especially after having lost the game once? It's very easy to say that failures is first attempt in learning, but let me tell you failure sucks. Failure takes your self-confidence. Failure makes you feel smaller... It feels as if you've lost your own self.
Let's work on it and prove it, not to the world but ourselves, that we are no less.
❤️❤️
