Morgan le Fay and Sebile the enchantress, the best most almost slightly kind of canonical girlfriends from the Arthurian mythos!
This is what happens when I have zero inspiration and some new brushes to try out, so here’s yet another knight.
[Image Description : Drawing of a knight with full armor , grey with intricate details, and long pink hair flowing behind them, and around their face they’re holding a sword in their right hand, their arm blocking the front of their chest, and hiding most of their face , their other hand is holding on the scabbard, with a grey blue background and pink stripes. ]

He always walks really, really quietly.
anyway. everyone reblog with your favourite weird lancelot headcanon. mine is that he can walk on water but only a little bit
Oh! Also! Lest it get overshadowed by the transphobia-- it's time to bring up the fact that in wilder culture, being interested in king Arthur is a frequently a red flag for being a racist (not so much in teenagers, I'm talking about adults). Although online that is thankfully not the case anywhere near as much, we should not ignore racism in this fandom. Fans of colour have repeatedly criticized certain trends and elements of the literature and fandom, including but not certainly not limited to th White's influence, and been repeatedly talked over. They have done critical, interesting analysis of racism in medieval literature and been dismissed as starting discourse instead of doing great meta at an academic level. Theyve been harassed for character designs (dont have receipts on that one but multiple ppl have told me about it). And if you think this fandom is safe from white nationalists, ppl have gotten anons accusing them of ruining arthuriana as a symbol of "western society," as well as repeated dismissals of colonialism and the existence of racism in med lit. If, like me, you're white, then please be aware of the white nationalist associations of the genre and listen to fans and creators of colour within it!!! They are not "starting discourse," they are making incredible content and doing really awesome analysis and deserve to be heard and anyone who doesnt like it can fuck right off
new headcanon im pushing is lancelot is just like. a duck. water slides right off of him. that is the only fun magical thing he got from being under the lake for so long he just is insulated.
every arthurian character is trans, that's just how it is. sorry, i don't make the rules.
its tru malory said so on page one of le morte! Thanks king <3
After they had cut off his head, They cut off all his limbs. They so disfigured the body That neither foot nor finger was left.

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight: man attempts to prove to boss that he may not be famous but at least he’s bisexual and depressed
The Wedding of Sir Gawain and Dame Ragnelle: man attempts to prove to boss that he may not be tall but at least he’s famous and sexy and a feminist
Gawain & Kay: man attempts to prove to coworker that he may be famous and sexy and a feminist but he’s also irrepressibly violent and a real bastard
The Romance of Gawain: man attempts to prove to boss and coworker that he may be a famously sexy and violent feminist bastard man but he’s also a literal serial killer and also, tangentially, into bdsm
Sir Gawain and the Turk: man attempts to prove to other, sexy man that he’s really good at tennis
The Mule With No Bridle: man attempts to prove to nice peasant he just met that he would win a competitive reality tv show, and also that he’s the best at holding hands
Lancelot and the Hart with the White Foot: man attempts to prove to boyfriend that he is willing to engage in greek mythology roleplay… hahaha jk…..unLESS?
The Perilous Cemetery: man attempts to prove to literally everyone he meets that he is not dead. hes NOT DEAD. hes FAMOUS AND SEXY AND ALIVE
The Knight with Two Swords: man attempts to prove to other man that he should not face consequences for anything ever including murders he did which are 100% absolutely definitely his fault
Proposition: your Lancelot doing something Holy Grail Lancelot does (your choice)

“He slid into the skin of a solitary Satan as though he had never enjoyed the flourish of language, the delights of civil power. It was war, now. Naked and bloody.”
- Gormenghast, Mervyn Peake
Yeah so according to @gawain-in-green this quote from Gormenghast is very unhinged-Gawain-core (I agree). I’m not very experienced at comics but I’m actually very into this one thank you for looking at it <333 gawain…. blood…. kissing…. archways… favorite things to draw
(btw if anyone ever wants requests for art or like. writing. please send in ask box i would die for you)
