Speculating DQXI party’s last names and putting it under “read more” bc this post definitely cites lore that constitutes spoilers
Erik most likely does not have a last name since he was an orphan taken in by Vikings. I don’t think they would’ve given him one. Didn’t serve any purpose.
I actually think that Veronica and Serena’s last name is Fidelī, or “of Fidelus” (the second declension genitive, if we conjugate Fidelus as if it were a Latin word)
Sylvando’s real name, canonically (imo) is Norberto Rodrigo
We know Jade’s last name is Carnelian.
So like, Rab is weird. Bc consider. “King Carnelian.” “Lord Robert.” Robert might be his last name. Therefore, the Luminary’s surname might also be Robert. Though, they also might have a completely different surname having been adopted and raised by Chalky.
Hendrik, I genuinely have no clue. You could slap any last name on that man and it would probably work.
I think Jasper’s last name is Chalcedony or Agate or smth else rock themed
my secret to art happiness is it's not about how many notes what you draw is likely to get. t's about how many times you're going to go back to it, to your own art, and think "this FUCKS actually and caters to me entirely, specifically, fully. i love this artist (me) (me who i drew this) (myself)"
Once I "made" a custom emoji for my mum by crudely drawing a hijab on it and now whenever she wants me to buy a coffee for her I get a text like this
It is so funny to me that my headcanons about how well the DQXI characters could drive is the one that’s gotten so much visibility
Yknow in light of some Twitter discourse I’m seeing about AI in academia and the bleakness of education’s future— Something I’m really happy about regarding me coming back to tumblr as a social media platform is that, unlike a lot of other platforms, tumblr is very conducive to letting users think. There’s no text limit, imo there’s very little pressure to actually get notes/visibility. The fact that #long post is so commonly used is really cool to me because people get to engage with their thoughts, find the words to put those thoughts to paper, and share them. Tumblr to me has always been a place that encourages self-expression and sharing of information and meaningful collaboration between strangers’ ideas.
And honestly? In my own experience, I am forced to engage with media a lot differently than I would on Twitter. Doom scrolling on tumblr at least has me reading a 10k word post about niche entomology or a deep dive on how Prince Faris is a character foil to the Luminary (DQXI). You have the option to actually focus on the content you’re consuming instead of just mindlessly swiping through it.
TLDR; I think tumblr is uniquely geared towards creative thinking and that’s cool when so many other platforms are being enshittified
