Thanks to a wonderful role model, I joined LinkedIn – was it worth it? Early days & it was lots of fun tweaking words to shape an image. Hmmm how to sketch a public profile, check it out here: http://tinyurl.com/8d4y8pe

In France, the radio interview is being celebrated - comme ça:
Professional and sharp interview Gail Carson! I enjoyed it! So you will have a mask on your face! Please no super hero tricks!

So many people have career-describing names. Beverly Semmes isn't a seamstress but a conceptual artist who made these things when I was using clothing to make works as well. She's still awesome & I'm still affected by her stuff.
Eastside Radio's Sylvia Rosenblum interviewed four varied artists in residencies including Taronga Zoo, Botanical Gardens and Maritime and me! The interview zeroes in on the community benefit part of my project for Waverley Council about the Parking Officers aka Rangers. Go here http://eastsidefm.org/2012/03/arts-wednesday-artists-in-residence/ and click on Gail Carson to listen.
If you have anything to share as a parking officer or a member of the public with something to say about parking at Waverley, let me know here. I'd love to have your input or question. Over to you!

Curating the First Ever Bondi PopUp gallery at Bondi the Beautiful Fair was a buzz!! The theme was BILLOW: everything & anything to do with the sea, wind, sky & the Fair was about recycling & conservation which our works fit right into. This image is an on-the-spot billow.
Contributing artists were Linden Braye, Betty Smith, Gail Carson, Mark Elliot, Jo Mulcahy-Zubani, Sue Saxon and Yvette Sarasola—a mix of Waverley artists in residence, Inner West and Western Sydney with about 16 works in our Pop Tent.
Open studio in Bondi on Wednesday next week - will wear a flanno ! How the west was won: scroll down for details…
As AIR with Waverley Council I've been busy making work, going to the studio, spending hours on the road, entering comps, booking shows, securing an agent, reading reading reading, getting tutor gigs & insurance. Did you know that casual work such as running classes or workshops or performing requires your own insurance? It does. For that go to NAVA for links.
But for models & performers etc, go to http://www.duckforcover.com for totally affordable cover. They are the bomb. Makes it possible for your efforts to be all about the art.
