Bowser: I haven’t gotten my script yet, but man, do I have plans for my big appearance!
(Author’s note: Another lazy sketch of the King of Awesome). (Now less invisible).
Toad: It’s Monday! Nobody panic! Peach: Ride’s a little bumpy, Toad!
Toad: Your highness, we really need to start locking the front door. Peach: Now is NOT the time for the security council!
Toad: It’s time for another Good Idea, Awful Idea.
So this weird guy was hanging around outside the studio and demanded he be given another audition after his last. The challenge: to emote with only eyebrows and mustache. (Author’s note: Brought on partially by an old @waluiginumberwahn request for fanart and partially by my serious need to practice Mr. Eggplant).
Toad: I know that face. That’s the No More Day Off face. (Author’s Note: Sorry for such a delayed announcement -- I had a post scheduled for today at 9, but it never showed up.)
Director: Sorry, Toad. I know how much effort you've put in, but we the writing staff botched it and you have to do all your comics over. Toad: I would like to submit a formal complaint to the effect that 'this is not a well-organized endeavor'.
(Author;s Note: Hat Tip for awesome nerd art).
A while back, I had the idea of Bleck’s crew being their own “Elite Four” (with Bleck as the champion) and decided to make the old-school sprites (based on the Gameboy Pokemon games) to match. Since then, I’ve decided to work through requests and my own whims to make a lot of other Paper Mario characters in this style. I’ve never really done pixel art, so it’s been a lot of fun and I’ve learned so much! But right now I’m going to rest on this series for now and move onto something else. Almost all of these fit within the size constraints of the original Pokemon sprites, but I wasn’t holding myself to the same standards on some of the earlier ones, so they might be a wee bit too wide or tall. Enjoy! dA link

(Author’s Note: Taking time out from blogging as an webcomic artist to wax enthusiastic about CryZENx and his amazing work in Unreal Engine. If you want your nostalgia button broken, these’ll do the trick).
Peach:They just don't make ominous disasters like they used to. Toad: Wish THEY knew that.
