Today’s skele is: a Pottsfield Villager from Over The Garden Wall

This is a creature concept for my project, “The Miracle Effect”. I call these creatures ”Swamp Deer”. 

In the world of “'The Miracle Effect”, a magical force has begun to transplant genes from one species to another. These are the descendants of modern white-tailed deer. They are adapted to the swampy landscape of The Waterlogged Wastes, with trunks for snorkeling and reaching food, and extra long legs for wading. Some of them ( the ones shown on the bottom) have been domesticated as beasts of burden.

In my illustration class we collaborated with the graphic design class to create a fake cooking magazine. Here are my contributions.
