You Know What My Favorite Thing About York Is?

You know what my favorite thing about York is?

He’s the funny man and the goofball and the rule breaker and he never actually successfully broke into anything without triggering an alarm on the show, and he hates his job and only sticks around because he’s deeply in love with the boss’s daughter.

But. My man is competent. I’ve tried to figure out what the heck kind of rating they give the Freelancers on the Board and never managed to, but look at this picture.

York is either .4 or .8 points behind Carolina. Carolina, who is as fast as Kelly and as tough as Sam. He’s close to a full point ahead of Wyoming. And this is all with one eye. He beat the sleeveless insurrectionist - the one who stomped Maine into the ground - in hand-to-hand like it was nothing. He managed to out-drive jetpacks and helicopters (again, with one eye) during a high-speed road chase. He was never motivated to be a Freelancer, but was still pretty much the best of the best (after Carolina and Tex obviously)

I just like when the goofballs actually turn out to be great at what they do - especially when they hate what they do. Really adds to the angst.
