I know she's not technically here yet, but lets hears some Queen Barb head cannons! Anything about how she grew up or when he dad started to deteriorate? Some happy times? Stuff like that!

OF COURSE!!!

- Barb’s Mom died when she was very young. Similar to Poppy, she doesn’t remember much about her.

- King Thrash was an amazing father, his daughter got everything she wanted! They have a very close relationship, and he used to call her “Firecracker”.

- King Thrash performed a lot of concerts, and Barb was right there with him! From just sitting in his hair, to playing along, she and him both had a flair for the dramatics! (And pyrotechnics!)

- King Thrash began to show signs of memory loss when Barb was ten. Just like Peppy, it has slowly progressed through the years, despite the Rock Trolls having greater advances in medicine. Barb became his primary caretaker, and the new Rock Queen, by 21, making her the youngest Queen in Troll history.

- Due to her age, a lot of Rock Trolls don’t respect her, and she has to fight hard for everything she has, feeling like she has something to prove…

- She still puts on amazing performances, and her Dad still comes to every one.

Sorry, most of these are about her Dad, it’s the first things I thought of off the top of my head! A lot of parallels to Poppy…

Never thought I’d say this, but I actually want John Dory to kick those bully Country Trolls’ butts. Does that make me a bad person that I want to see that happen? 🤔

Absolutely not! They defo deserve it!

But… I thought it might mess with the whole “diplomacy” if he really tore those guys apart😂 But trust me, if he’d gotten his hands on them, they would’ve regretted messing with him!

After everything that happened with the Bergens, he just decided he just wasn’t going to wait around for the perfect someone anymore! He wanted a kid, so he had one!

He couldn’t be more happy, and he is an AMAZING father! (Plus, apparently hot Dad’s are in, so… He likes his chances😁)

In honor of Hickory’s introduction into “Great Decisions”, and because so many people are hyped about his design… Here’s a sketch!

I had planned to actually digitize this before I posted this chapter but… School and work have been kicking my ass😂 Maybe some day…

But yeah! Here he is! To give a little deep dive on his design, he’s roughly based on a Mountain Goat (Which is why I tried to shape him the way I did!) I can’t wait to delve more into his character, and in tandem, his design (including fun, hidden features!)

But till then, here’s my sorry attempt at trying to make my image of him come to life!

I wanted to ask about Tiny Diamond! You said in your Au trolls are born of love, so I was wondering how Tiny came to be. Who did Guy love? Dose he have a partner? Did one of his friend's surrogate? Can you become eggnant with self love, aka just making a genetic copy of you as your kid? Can eggs happen accidentally, or is it always intentional?

ABSOLUTELY!

You are right, Tiny was born from self love! Trolls can either have kids with a partner, or simply just because they love themselves, and want one! In Guy Diamonds case, that’s what is was! Love for himself, and a desire to love/have a kid to love!

Typically, eggs are formed from a strong love/bond between two trolls, and they typically are intentional. However, accidents can happen. Take the BroZone family for example.

John Dory, Spruce, Clay, and Floyd were all intentionally formed from Pine and Sunny’s love for one another (Not necessarily a desire to have kids, considering Pine didn’t really want them). Branch, however, was an “accident”, due to an intense surge of love Pine felt for Sunny for “believing him”, per se.

As we know, Pine went a little off the deep end towards the end there, and he was convinced the world was against him. But Sunny always stayed by his side. From his love for her just being with him through everything, Branch popped up. It doesn’t always happen, but Trolls who have eggs together before are more likely to have “accidents” like that happen.

Idk if that made sense, I tried, I still don’t have it completely fleshed out lol

That is a great question!

I don’t think Movie Two really could’ve happened before Movie One, strictly for the reason that… I don’t think Branch would’ve gone with Poppy. Likely, she would’ve brought Creek with her (If the coward even bothered to go), and who knows what could have happened then? I think without Branch there, the plan would’ve failed entirely, and Barb’s Nation of Rock would have become reality.

Now Movie Three before Movie One, that would be interesting! Imagining a GREY Branch being told he has to go find his brothers who left him all those years ago… Would he have even agreed? If he did, his interactions would have been a lot colder, and more cruel, with each of them. And saving Floyd? It may have just failed, considering Branch’s refusal to sing, and his nihilistic views on the world would’ve kept him from inspiring his brothers that they don’t have to be perfect to be in harmony. So many things could happen, I’ll bet you five bucks there’s a fic about it! (Not actually betting tho, I am broke😂)

Movie Three before Movie Two, I don’t think much would’ve changed honestly, since those two are pretty disconnected. But it would be interesting to see how the BroZone Bros and Viva would play into the plot!!! Would they all go? Could make for some fun, wacky hijinks! (All of BroZone as Rock Zombies?!?!)

What would have happened if King Peppy decided to tell Clay about his grandmother's (And Branch's apparent) passing before Trollstis?

Clay would have absolutely freaked.

King Peppy was right in a certain regard, that Clay would not have handled the death of his Grandmother and (apparently) his little brother well. We will delve more into this in the story, but Clay’s mental state at the time wasn’t exactly great either, for multiple reasons. And he had his reasons for not interacting with his little brother during this time.

Had he been told the truth, it’s likely Clay would have completely broken down. The fact that not only was his baby bro gone, but he hadn’t talked to him MONTHS before it happened, the guilt would have eaten him alive.

I imagine after being told, he’d accuse King Peppy of lying, and go check for himself. Just to find a seemingly empty pod (It took a couple days for baby Branch to crawl back up the tree). He’d leave, and lock himself in his room in King Peppy’s pod until the Great Escape, snapping at anyone who tried to comfort him, too overwhelmed is his own anger, guilt, and grief to care about anything else.

He’d only make it out of the Tree because Viva forced him too.

But I’d like to imagine even if Clay didn’t run back for his brother, Viva would have run back anyways to help her father/the other Trolls. Either way, they’d still end up separated.

Broken… John Dory’s eyes shot wide open, as if he’d been slapped. The word seemed to slice through John Dory’s heart, leaving it open and bleeding.

“When Mom died, something just broke inside him.” Bruce continued, his face grim. “Something that couldn't be fixed. It wasn’t any of our faults. He was just broken beyond repair.”

It’s official, I’ve been utterly sucked into this fic….

I was in two minds of posting this because I worried about the blue blood of all things! I honestly love this concept from @rydoesartandstuff

If it’s too much let me know but I was so taken by this scene it seemed a shame to cut this action from it! Anyway, I’m rather proud of this one. One thing I love as much as angst to draw is something dynamic and full of action because I love a challenge and I live for movement. I just hope I’ve done the scene justice.

That growlbeast I tell you was a b*tch to get right though! I had reference it and get a size ratio for it, in regards to the trolls so I could get it as accurate in that respect that i could! Hope this is okay as well *hides*

I finished watching Trolls World Tour and a thought occurred to me: Branch’s fight with Poppy after being evacuated from the Funk Trolls’ spaceship. Will John Dory try to break the fight up or will he have a flashback of his brothers fighting then leaving, causing him to have a panic attack? Unless he gets separated from them like what happened to Hickory, then he’d try to find Branch and Poppy. But what if he finds Branch alone and hears him singing “Perfect for Me?” Would he be sad or worried? Sorry. I’m rambling too much. I guess I’m still worried about John Dory….

I won’t give to much away because….

JD will have a partner in Great Decisions!!! I’m very excited to introduce it, but also nervous, aha… I seem to have gotten it into my head that if people don’t like the ship, they won’t like the story anymore, and I’m like AH. ✨STRESS✨

But I am very excited for it! It won’t take a HUGE role in this story, but it’ll definitely play a part in a lot of things. And the partner I chose for JD just fits him so well in this story. (I ship him with others too, but this one just worked out!)

Anyways, I’m also hype for TWT! And very excited for y’all to see what I have in store!

Why do you think Pine and Sunny named the boys how they did?

OH, I got you, you know I’ve been thinking about this…

John Dory: Named after his mother, “Sunny”, who also has a fish based name! (Like the Bluegills, who are also called “Sunny’s” where I’m from!) Kinda ironic maybe, considering which parent he tends to take after…

Spruce: Named after his father, following the “tree” trend. (Mayhaps another reason he changed his name…?)

Clay: Named in honor his Grandpa “Peat”, who also had yellow hair, sorta following the dirt/ground part of nature. (Peat is Rosiepuff’s husband, but does not show up in the story, he died way before!)

Floyd: Bit of a toughy, but on the Trolls wiki, they mention Floyd’s name was a bit of a play on words from the word “Flood”. And he cried a lot as a kid so…

And we all know John Dory named Branch, after the designs on his egg, and because he wanted his brother to have a strong name, like a Branch that never bows to the wind.

But yeah, there we go! Can you tell I’ve thought about this before?😂
