sae has shown that growing up, he was always there for rin both in and out of soccer cases—he’s really a big brother :(( so i’m placing a guess that sae failing and letting go of his and rin’s dream of becoming the world’s best strikers really made him believe that if rin continues to follow his footsteps—like what rin has always done—rin might end up failing, too. and because i refuse to believe that sae just threw away his big bro heart so stupidly like that!! i really think sae, as rin’s big brother, wants the best for rin: so he doesn’t want rin to end up in such a shithole like him. but these brothers don’t know how to convey anything well…🥹
