When Alice Cullen came to you for a favor you would’ve declined if you knew it would land you in the throne room of the Volturi. You had stayed under the radar for almost a hundred years. Before you were turned you lived in the upper class of New Orleans in the early 1900 hundreds. Your life was ordinary, your family was well off so you never went without. However that had changed one night when you were strolling through the French Quarter. A rogue vampire had moved into the New Orleans area, and you had become their next victim. As they were feeding from you, there were interrupted by a gaggle of drunk men stumbling into the alley. They had vanished just as quickly as they appeared. A crowd gathered around you as medics were called to the scene. You were put on a stretcher and quickly brought to the nearest hospital, where you succumbed to your injuries. Well that’s how it appeared to the humans, but to the supernatural you were changing. Since the vampire left so abruptly their venom moved through your blood stream. This caused your heart to stop and for you to appear dead. Your parents held a beautiful funeral for you and you were buried with the rest of your family in one of the beautiful cemeteries of New Orleans. Three days after your ‘death’ you awoke in your tomb covered in a beautiful pale blue dress that your mother chose for you. A burning sensation in the back of your throat brought you back to reality and you easily broke out of the tomb. And you descended on the first human that came into sight. Once you were done feeding you pulled back in shock as you realized what you had done and what you had become. You quickly fled the city and ended up deep in the Louisana Bayou.

And thats where you stayed for almost hundred years, you fed on the animals, and learned that you had the power to control nature. You could make vines appear out of nowhere along with flowers, trees or any other type of plant. You quickly became a legend along with the Honey Island Swamp monster. Humans spoke of a creature that appeared human with golden eyes, (h/c) (h/l) hair, and pale (s/c) that shimmered when the sunlight hit it. After hearing this you moved deeper into the bayou.Staying in the Bayou helped you stay under the Volturi’s radar as the legend slowly became forgotten. So when Alice drug you to Italy with her and Edwards little human you were quite surprised when you ended up in the same room as the Volturi Kings and their guards.

When you got to Volterra and found Edward. You were led there by Jane, who you know as half of the Witch Twins. Your little group had been flanked by two more members of the guard. One was a short blonde haired man who looked like he was carved out of stone, and when you had made eye contact with all he did was send you a wink. He must have been Demetri, the Casanova of the Volturi. And the other member was a mountain of a man he easily towered over you and the rest of your group. He had dark brown hair and a chiseled face. When you had looked at him it had left you feeling confused. You felt this unexplained pull to him,and at that moment the world felt like it was just the two of you. He had to be Felix the executioner of the Volturi. Even though you stayed in the Bayou you still knew of the Volturi and their power. A few months after you had been changed, another vampire stumbled upon you in the bayou. They had stuck around for a few weeks and thats how you learned of the Volturi.

Jane led you, Alice, Edward and Bella to the elevator. Felix slid the black gate away from the doors before him and Demetri stepped in first.

“Go on” Jane says. And you were the next one to enter the elevator quickly followed by Bella, Edward, Alice and finally Jane. You stood in front of the giant executioner but kept your gaze straight ahead after feeling his gaze on you. Out of the corner of your eye you could see Edward and Alice sharing looks occasionally glancing at you. You didn’t know what they were doing but you had a feeling it wasn’t anything good for you. And very shortly your feeling would be proven true.

Your group stops in front of two huge brown doors that Jane yanks open with ease. Your group is ushered into a domed shaped room with small windows high up near the curve of the roof and being the only source of sunlight. Pillars decorated the outline of the room. Up on a small platform of three steps were three men situated on three thrones. The floor was marble and everything in the room resembled the same cinnamon colour of the city, only slightly paler.

“Sister they send you out to get one but you bring back three…and half.Such a clever girl.” A voice came from a black haired male who took a few steps forward towards the Jane. He was Alec the other half of the famous Witch Twins, his power just as terrifying as Jane’s.

"What a happy surprise!" A man with black hair who stood from his throne in the middle smiled. "Bella is alive after all! I love happy endings, but they are so rare."

You looked around the room. Vampires dressed in assortments of grey's and blacks were at various sides of the room. Almost like a clock formation. The man with black hair walked straight towards Edward and took his hand in his. And thats when you realized that this was Aro, the king who could read every thought that passed through someones mind.

"They are so rare. Her blood appeals to you so much.. makes me thirsty." Aro said as he stared off momentarily distantly and muttered some Italian.

"How can you stand to be so close to her?" He then asked Edward.

"It's not without difficulty." Edward muttered.

"Yes, I can see that." Aro chuckled.

"Aro can read every thought I ever had with one touch." Edward said to Bella.

"And now you know everything." He then directs to Aro claiming his hand back.

"So get on with it." He then demands. A sinister smile that sent a shiver down your spine appeared on Aro's face.

"You are quite the soul reader yourself.

Though you cannot read Bella's thoughts.

Fascinating." He says, lowly before taking a step back. He glanced upon Bella who was sandwiched between Edward and Alice.

"I would love to see, if you are an exception to my gifts as well." Aro said with a tender smile, though it offered anything but tenderness, that resulted in Bella cuddling closer to Edward.

"Would you do me the honour?" Aro then requested, holding his hand out.

Hesitantly glancing between his eyes and hand Bella slowly stepped forwards and placed her thin warm hands in Aro's own bigger and colder ones. Once he has a hold of her hand Aro pulls her forwards slightly, eagerly glancing at it as he tries to see into her mind. Everyone else in the room, even yourself, were intrigued to hear the results. Shock riddles over the man's face as he looked up, uttering.

"Interesting." A clear enough indication to all of the curious minds that even his gifts couldn't penetrate her mind.

"I see nothing."

He took a careful step back, turning to face his co-leaders as Bella rejoined Edwards side.

He paced back towards the steps which led to the thrones before his voice chimes out once more.

"I wonder... Let us see if she is immune to all our power. Shall we, Jane." He sent a sinister smirk towards Jane.

You were getting ready to pull Bella back when Jane looked her way, but a hand on your shoulder stopped you. The touch sent a weird tingly feeling through your body. You looked behind you to see the owner of the hand. It was Felix who shook his head no, and then Edward is rushing forward.

"No."

"Pain." Jane muttered. At her words Edward suddenly stopped rushing forwards and instead started to convulse in an intense pain that didn't even allow him to scream out. His feet slowly lifted off the ground as his back arched. After a mere second under her pain, he collapsed to the floor.

"Stop! Please stop!" Bella begged, going to rush forwards but was stopped by Alec. Meanwhile Alice rushed towards Edward going by unstopped. Alice collapsed by him, her hands shakily hovering over his pain ridden body.

“Let us proceed Jane.” Jane’s attention moved from Edward was on the ground towards Bella who put on a brave front. After a few moments nothing happened and Bella stayed standing.

A cackling laugh and a hand clap breaks the eerie silence as we all looked at an amused Aro. "Remarkable. She confounds us all. So, what do we do with you now?" He questions thoughtfully.

"You already know what you are going to do.

Aro." The uninterested voice of the third man in the far rights chair spoke up. His face remained devoid of emotions, his hair, skin and eye the same as Aro's yet you could tell they were not related by blood. Marcus.

"She knows too much. She’s a liability ."

The blonde man’s voice chimes in from the right of Aro,Caius.

"Hmm, that's true... Felix." Aro says, his voice suddenly laced with pity. Upon the call of his name your shoulder is released . Alec spun Bella around to face Felix, who was now stalking towards her. As he neared her Edward flips her over his shoulder and he launches himself at Felix. The two are a whirlwind of flying limbs each of them holding their own against the other. You take a few step backs to avoid the fight when it nears you. There is a moment where Edward is able to push Felix away. In less than a second Edward is holding you in a headlock his arm pressing against your neck tightly.

“Move an inch closer and I’ll take her head off.”

Anger hot and red suddenly burns through Felix as he fixes a furious glare on Edward. A growl escapes his throat as he sees Edward tighten his grip. Your hands fly to the arm that Edward has on your throat and you claw at the arm trying to yank it off. You look at Alice for help but she just looks away. Edward tightens his grip more causing small cracks to form on your neck as he snarls at Felix. The ground beneath your feet begins to crack as spiked vines begin to shoot out the floor. They wrap around Edward tightly as more vines begin to shoot out of the floor. As the vines restrain Edward Felix yanks you out of Edwards arms and shoves you at Demetri who easily catches you. Felix grabs Edward by his shoulders before slamming down on the marble floor. A smirk forming on his face when a crack resonates through the throne room.

He pulls Edward back up before laying into him. And before long Felix’s hands are on either side of Edward’s face ready to decapitate him at Aro’s order.

“Kill me not him. Kill me.” Bella cries out as she moves forward. Aro holds up his hand to stop Felix, and he yanks Edward up keeping one hand on his throat.

“How extraordinary. You would give up your life for someone like us. A vampire. A soulless monster.” Aro comments as he steps closer to Bella.

“Just stay away from her.” Edward hisses which cause Felix to tighten his grip with a snarl. Looking in the direction of where you stood with Demetri catching sight of the crack along your neck. And his grip tightens more giving Edward matching cracks along his neck.

“You don’t know a thing about his soul.” Bella says with a wave of confidence to Aro through gritted teeth.

Aro then muttered some more Italian before saying to Edward. “This is a sadness. If only it was your intention to give her immortality”

Suddenly the room room is filled with an ominous atmosphere settled among them as Aro stalks towards Bella. Right before he could strike Alice called out.

“Wait Bella will be one of us. I’ve seen it. I’ll change her myself.” Alice approached Aro and placed her hand in his outstretched one. The second he takes her hand he’s drawn into a vision.

"Mesmerising. To see what you have seen.

Before it happened..." Aro says to Alice before approaching Bella and mutters about how excited he is to see what her newborn abilities will reveal.

"Go now. Make your preparations." Aro says signalling Felix to let Edward go. You move from Demetri’s side and go towards where the two Cullens stood.

“Aro.” The voice of Marcus rings out. Aro turns to his brother and races over to grab the outstretched hand.

“Except for our other vampire friend. They will be staying here.” His words stop you in your tracks and you turn towards them.

“Pardon me sir but why can’t I leave with da rest. I don’t believe I broke any laws other than being here.” You finally speak, your thick cajun accent filling the room.

“Because my dear you are the mate of our dear Felix.” Aro says as he gestures towards the executioner. And with those words everything begins to dawn on you. Alice begging you to come, her looks with Edward in the elevator, and Edward threatening to take your head off. You whirl around to where the two Cullens stood with Bella.

“Ya knew. Dat’s why ya brought me. Ya knew what wa’ gonna happen.” You snarl out in anger.

“Dat’s also why you tried to kill me. I’m the sacrifice. Ya’ll were gonna use me to save ya human pet because I’m da mate of one the guards.” As your anger begins to rise vines begin to creep up the pillars of the room.

“It was a back up plan-“ Edward begins but you let out a snarl and launch yourself at him. Before you make contact with Edward an arm is wrapped around your middle, and yanked backwards. You feel your back hit a hard body before a voice is heard.

“Calma il mio piccolo fiore.”

"Let's be done with this. Heidi will arrive any moment. Thank you for your visit." The apathetic voice of Marcus rings out.

"You'll return the favour and I'd advise you'd get it done quick. The Volturi don't offer second chances." Caius says watching as the three of them begin to follow Demetri out. And you’re kept against Felix’s chest as your anger slowly disappears along with the vines.

“My ‘polgies didn’t mean to lose control like dat.” You say as the vines completely disappear. Aro then suddenly appears before you as Felix keeps his hold on you.

“Would you do me the honor my dear.” He says as he holds his hand out and you put yours in his. Your entire life and thoughts flash through your mind as Aro looks at them.

“No need to apologize my dear I can see why you reacted the way you did. You stayed alone and isolated for so long. The only contact you had was when Carlisle passed through your home. And then Alice came to you for help only for them to betray you. And your gift will be a wonderful addition to us my dear.”

And those words sealed your fate. You were given a place among the Volturi and properly trained. You’ve been at the castle for a few months now, and your bond with Felix grew. Along with the growing friendship with Demetri and surprisingly the twins. The two looked up to you like an older sibling, so when the four were sent on a mission to Seattle you were lonely. You spent most of your free time in the garden, this is where you grew close with Marcus. He liked to take strolls through the gardens to see the flowers that his wife had once planted. Before you arrived the flowers withered away not long after they bloomed, and the garden would grow dull. The gardens had became your favorite place in the castle, and with your gift the gardens were restored to their former glory. The flowers that Didyme had planted flourishing once more, and Marcus was eternally grateful to you. The older vampire quickly became a father figure to you,so when he had the time he would keep you company within the gardens. Sometimes taking strolls with you or just reading a book.

Today was one of the days where you were completely alone in the gardens. The Elite Guard were expected to return that day so you decided to kill some time in the garden until Felix had returned. Your hands were planted in the grass as a new flower bush was growing in front of you, beautiful white roses beginning to bloom. A smile was on your face as the garden around you flourished, and it was a beautiful sight to Felix.

He had finally made it back from America, and you were the first thing on his mind. Of course he had to stop with the rest and give the kings their report. The Cullens had stopped the newborns, and Bella was still human. That information displeased Caius, but they were dismissed before Caius could explode in anger. Once he was dismissed he made a beeline to the gardens already knowing thats where you’d be. And a smile worked its way onto the executioner’s face at the sight of you.

“il mio piccolo fiore” He says as he steps into the gardens. At the sound of his voice your head snaps up and your smile grows.

“Mon Amour.” You say as you run into his open arms. You both let out a laugh as he lifts you and spins. You may have been angry at Alice in the beginning for lying to you. In that moment you were nothing but happy, going from a lonely vampire in the bayou to being cherished for eternity.

The cave was quiet, the only sound being the waves hitting the rocks outside. All of the inhabitants of the cave peacefully sleeping, well almost all of them. Something instinctual, deep in your gut and the back of your mind is telling you somethings not right. Slipping through the dark fog in the faint chime of hushed whispers. Voices exchanging softly, all dim and low like they were sharing secrets.

It has you pushing your face deeper into David’s neck in an attempt to muffle out the sounds, desperate to escape fully back into the comfort of a deep sleep.

You usually slept in a bed that wasn’t far from where the boys slept, while Star and Laddie slept in the more open part of the cave. Something in your mind told you to sleep with the boys, so you listened to it.

When you arrived back at the cave after feeding, you were brought to where they slept. There was a little arguing over who you slept with, but something was telling you to sleep with David. So you stopped them from arguing, and they all climbed up to the bar they hang from. Dwanye stayed on the ground with you, so you had help getting to David. Once David is settled he opens his arms for you, and with a kiss to your head Dwanye helps you wrap yourself around David. Once you’re settled David wrapped his arms around your waist, letting you tuck yourself into his hold.

It’s still daytime. Something deep in your gut and the back of your mind assures that the sun is still high up in the sky, scorching and hot. An intuition that you still don't quite understand, but it has your limbs turning heavy and lax, muscles relaxing in David’s hold Your exhaustion has you numb to the world, the delicate rhythm of the waves crashing outside the cave muting down into nothing, the sound of the quiet voices vanishing. It must be two of the boys. Awake already. It would strike you as odd on any other circumstance, and to a degree it does, but your sluggish brain is quick to let go of that train of thought.

The insistence that something is wrong fading into an ignorable afterthought. The scuffle of shoes along dust and stone ignites a tremble down the notches of your spine, as though your body is begging for you to wake up and investigate while it simultaneously sinks further into David’s tight hold.

Something isn't right, something isn't right.

It's like a chant. A primal whisper that coils through your bones and sinew. Leftovers from your ancestors, remnants of the instincts that had kept them alive long ago, but it all seems null and void against the fatigue that seems to press you down like a physical weight. Even while hidden away from the sun it seems to sap you of all your strength.

It's impossible to even try to rouse yourself. Its as though you're held under water. The strength of that debilitating exhaustion sweeps back over you, making the sound of the angry, masculine voice that rises up high within the cave, reverberating from the dust covered stone, dim and distant. As though it's miles away.

“I feel a draft. I think there’s something up here.” You hear from far-away, murky and vague.

“Let’s check it out Sam.” Another voice.

“I’ll be right back Mike.” A third voice. Mike. Mike. That sounds familiar from somewhere - someone. A name mentioned in passing. Mike. Michael. A discussion carried on by the boys while they were all encircled around one of the burn barrels one night. So casual while they considered the fate of a complete stranger as though they were discussing dinner and not the destiny of a man's soul. Some sap that had apparently caught the eye of Star. She hadn't wanted it to go far, but then again, it's never supposed to go that far. But David wanted the guy dead. He was meant to be her first, she hadn't been able to do it.

A wave of muddled scents breaks past the barrier of the rotting wood. Unfamiliar and thick, coated with cologne and shampoo that you don't recognize. All of it twisting with something even more out of place here. Something alive. Heat and life and blood. Iron, warmth, and salt. It's distinctly human. Living. The alarms go off in your head. Raging and flashing red in a way that's violent. And a bright light flashes behind your eyelids.

“JESUS.” One of the voices yells, another one screams before being cut off. Your eyes blink, lashes fluttering as you try to fight the sleep weighing your lids down. Your vision blurs a little, straining through the exhaustion, but then you notice the three figures standing below. They're children. Looking lost, dressed in camo and gear as though they've prepared to fight a war. One has his hand wrapped around the mouth of the blonde child muffling his scream. Wide blue eyes reflecting a visible panic while he stumbles back away from the other two. Another swears, cursing sharply under his breath while he flinches. But it's the one closest to you that moves. His dog tags glinting and chiming from a movement so sharp that it had to be a reflex, but the determination burning in his eyes is purposeful.

“I thought they were supposed to be in coffins.”

“That’s what this cave is. One giant coffin.” The one with the bandanna says as he moved with the other one dressed in camo. They begin to climb up the wood beside your group.

“They’re at their most vulnerable. Easy pickings.”

“You just have to kill the leader huh.”

“We don’t know which on he is. We’ll kill them all.”

“We’ll start with her. She’s already seen us.” They say as the climb closer to where you’re hanging with David. An animal kind of panic tears through you, lighting up your nerves like lives wires, electricity and adrenaline burning through your veins with the white heat of fire. You try to move and wake up David, but your limbs struggle, sleep thawing in your tired arms and legs.

"Kill her, kill her!" One shouts all while the blonde in the background yells at them to stop, but it falls on deaf ears. The boy wielding the stake lunges forward with a war cry. You manage to wiggle slightly in David’s hold.

“David wake up!” A panicked shout rips from your throat, but David remains sleeping.

"The bitch is trying to wake them, you gotta get her before they wake up," someone shouts in a panicked rush. You continue to squirm in David’s hold trying to get the two of you away from the teenagers. Poised in the air, high above the boy's head in an arch. There's hardly any time to act and fear sinks in your gut, chilled and frozen as he drives it down with all the strength he has in his body; his lips curled in a hateful snarl. He's going to kill you. This is it. This is how you die. Your mind screams it over and over again on a broken loop, but your body acts all on its own. It twists so David’s unconscious body turns away from the stake, and your heart is away from the point.

There's no time to rejoice when the stake is already piercing your skin. It sinks in deep, parting flesh and muscle beneath its lethal point. The boy collapses and tips over the side of the ledge that they were standing on. You don't initially realize that you're screaming. You feel it first. The strength of your agonized wail shreds up your throat as though you've swallowed nails, but that pain is secondary to the fire and anguish pulsing through your shoulder. The stake is still wedged inside of your back, burrowing past skin and meat, prying at your shoulder blade like it means to rip it free from the sinew keeping it intact with the other bones. You're bleeding. You can smell it, sharp and distinct in the panicked air. The pain is crippling. Ripping and engulfing, eating up your spine.

The boy with the blue bandana wrapped around his head is stepping forward, already clasping a stake in a white-knuckled hold. The resolve in his eyes is haunting. The desire to kill you fervent and glaring in his stare. That's all it takes to have your voice spilling from you, rising up in another terrified shout.

“BOYS WAKE UP!”

"Say your prayers bloodsucker." He practically spits it out, lips twisting in a grimace as he moves forward preparing to stake you again. And then combined hissing and snarling fills the pit as the boys awaken. They finally awoke to your shouts and the smell of your blood. Four sets of yellow eyes focus in on the three humans in front of them as snarls fill the air.

"Guys, guys, we gotta go." It's the blonde that's repeating it over and over as he sees the vampires awaks, stumbling over his words while he jerks on the other's arms. They give in without any resistance. Fear alive and bright in their eyes, even while the kid with the bandana points his stake in your direction and tosses a quick "This isn't over" at you as the three of them take off in a brisk jumble in the direction that they came from.

The growls from within the cavern raise up higher as the boys realize what happened and it has the kids in a full-blown panic. Tripping over their feet in an ungraceful run as they try and reach the opening of the cave. Your body trembles and your head rolls forward onto the snarling David’s chest.

“YOU’RE DEAD MEAT.”

You can feel your lung snag and pinch as though it's being burned from the inside out, catching on the point of the stake when you inhale. It has you crying, a tear managing to trickle free as your ribcage shudders violently as you gasp.

You don't want to take your eyes off of them, desperate to track their panicked flee, but your eyes cloud over. Stars dot your vision, spotting and flickering in shifting colors as a vignette blurs around the corners of your sight. You feel the world spin as David jumps down from the bar and lands on his feet. You still cradled against his chest. Three more thumps follow as the rest of the boys land behind. Iron coats your tongue. Thick and wet. Bursting up from the back of your throat while you try to breathe, spitting up with each labored inhale. You can feel your life waning. The strength diminishing, shrinking under your skin. Dying out like a flame that's being smothered. Whimpers spill from your lips as your carefully laid on your bed. You can hear the sound of claws ripping across the earth as two of the vampires tear their way out of the chasm like creatures pouring out of hell.

You hear muffled screams and shouts. The dull thud of hysterical footsteps as they rush to escape before death can seize them. You hear David's bellow roll throughout the cave, crashing over the screams from the horrified children. The loud chaos of it all grows dim - distant as they're no doubt running up the mouth of the cave while Paul's laugh rings out from somewhere far away.

It makes you jump when a pair of hands smooth over your shoulders, light like a caress, but you can still feel a heavy tremble run through the fingers. A voice hums out, cooing softly to hush you when a strangled sob wrangles out from your body. The way they handle you is delicate, softly turning you over onto your hip and lifting you up to cradle you against their chest as though you might shatter into a million pieces otherwise. Breathing past the wet iron to try and notice the traces of spice and earth and musk.

It was Dwanye. You try to say his name, but your throat tightens, choking on blood. You can feel his fingers grip your bicep, holding you still and you know that he's looking at the stake punctured deep in your flesh. His hold is nowhere close to the to the wound and yet it flares pain across your nerves, making you twist in his arms while a gutted sob wracks from your body.

"I know, I know, love. I know, but I have to take it out" he says into your hair. It's difficult to hear his voice past the roaring in your ears, but once the words make it past the hum. It's like you can feel the agony already, simmering and slicing across your fried nerves like the edge of razor blades.

“Marko! I’m gonna need your help. ” He calls and you can hear another person coming. And then a gloved hand is cradling your face. The glove was cold against your skin as the hand tilts your head back from where it was tucked against Dwayne’s shoulder. It makes your lashes flutter, and you have to force yourself to keep your eyes open with how heavy they've grown, weighing heavy and threatening to slip closed.

“If we don’t remove it. You’ll die baby.” Marko says. There's a protest lodged somewhere in your mouth, slick from the blood and caught on a broken gasp, but you don't have time try and voice it.

“I’m gonna hold her still you pull it out.” Dwanye says as his grip around you tightens. Marko nods, gripping the stake in his hand and pulls. You want to scream, but there's no air left in your lungs for you to do so, and all that makes it out is a ragged, splintered gasp.

Scorching hot pain pours in your veins as he rips the wood from your shoulder. It slices ribbons up your spine, feeling bone deep and white-hot, acid lashing up your muscles. You thrash in Dwayne’s lap, the grip around you tightening and pinning you against his chest. Marko continues to pull the stake from your shoulder, and there’s hardly any relief once its out. The damage it's done is still agonizing, coiling through your muscles. It's as though the flesh on your back has been flayed.

You can faintly hear the clatter of the stake hitting the stone walls. As the two fuss over you, David and Paul rush back into the area where your bed is.

“How is she?” There's a rawness to his voice, a breathless edge despite the non-necessity of breathing.

“She needs to feed.” Dwanye says. “She won’t make it to sundown.”

David stalks forward while dragging his nail across his wrist. He kneels beside your bed and presses his wrist against your lips. You clasp your fingers around his arm, digging into the aged leather of his jacket. Your teeth bury themselves into his arm as his blood pours down your throat. You feel a hand stroking your head as you feed on his blood. Life floods back into you with each gulp, syrupy and warm. The hole made in the split meat and torn flesh of your back begins to mend in a sluggish process, stunted. You’re cradled protectively between Dwayne and David as Paul and Marko hover around the two.

Paul leans over and presses a soft kiss to your forehead.

"Did you get them?"  Dwayne asks.

The thick silence that follows gives Marko and Dwayne their answer. And twin snarls rip out of their throats.

“They’re dead.”

“And they will be. They will be.” David says with a snarl.

“Marko when nightfall hits I want you and Dwayne to go hunt. She’ll need an actual feeding and we’ll need our full strength.” David says as he continues to stroke your hair, letting you have your fill of his blood. He wanted to make sure your wound was healed.

“Paul you’ll be staying here with her while we go take care of the little pests.” Paul nods as he sits on the edge of your bed by your head.

“They’ll regret touching our mate.” They all say as your wound completely healed and you pulled away from David’s wrist sagging against Dwayne as exhaustion took over. The boys continued to plan their attack as you fell into a deep sleep.
