beginners, hobby artist, professional artists, gore/Horror artists, comic artists, all of them.
Art is awesome, all forms of it.
Writers, crafters, sculpters, cosplayers, musicians, all of them.
Art is an amazing form of self-expression. Keep going at it; don't let anyone put you down because your art "isn't good enough". You ARE good enough.
And to all my new artists, you're AWESOME!! Without new artists coming in, our community would eventually die. Keep practicing, with time you'll get better.
Don't spend too much time comparing your art to others, don't put yourself down. Don't stress about if your style is 'good enough', just do art. Create because it makes you HAPPY. Art shouldn't feel forced.
You're all awesome!!!
Getting rid of art block is the greatest feeling ever. Like I can finally draw again and have felt soooo motivated!! I FEEL LIKE I CAN DO ANYTHING!!
someone asked if I do commissions and I wanted to say yes but like… I’m not supposed to have social media and I was thinking about it. I should have just done it for free but like I didn’t think about it until it would’ve been weird to respond for a second time :(
What makes you feel rejuvenated? I certainly feel good after getting a chance to be creative! I hope you have enjoyed episode #25! If you like the comic, please subscribe on Webtoon. I also have a surprise this week -- my Ko-Fi membership has gone down from $5 to $3! Wow, what a deal! You can get early access to new comics every single week and get to view them a week earlier than anyone else. 👏
Sometimes you've just gotta stay stubborn! I hope you enjoyed this week's installment of 'Slices of Gremlin'! I am going to continue updating every Tuesday, and if you would like to support the comic and get early access, you can sign up to be a member of the 'Little Creature Club' on Ko-Fi!
hm yes i am an artist, i do art, art is my passion and a hobby of mine and i love the art thing!! *has a 2-month long art block* *never draws*
And then on the other side of the spectrum it’s just artists finding increasingly unique ways to hide the hands in drawings
nobody warns you that writing makes you obsessed with hands. what are they doing? are they trembling? are they clenched? are they—
just realized I can just edit the post, Ravenpaw's eyeshines are now visible for darkmode homies.
Got bored and made a silly Ravenpaw as the autism creature meme, I have started saying "Yippee!" when I stim sometimes and honestly it's iconic
One time I was showing off what I was drawing in my sketchbook and the dude I was talking to said something along the lines of:
"Aw yeah, this reminds me of this person my sister watches! Her name was like uh 'Vive-zee-pop"?"
Like. He wasn't wrong. I can see it- 😭 and I don't dislike Viv's style, but I still felt called out
A little bit about the character:
-they're a creature
-they love eating oranges
-obssesed with summer! but hates watermelon
Also they attract humans by being oddly alluring and kill them so they can consume them! they are a shapeshift creature so like they change forms a lot to attract their prey plus they usually adopt the person's lifestyle until they get bored/hungry and go back to hunting :3c
I hate watching shows for the sole purpose of having them on as background noise. Like what do you mean you just zone out and randomly watch a couple minutes? Don't you get attached to the characters?? Invested to the plot???
It seems pretty weird, my posted images at one place, but yeah, I still dont have or know my artstyle. I keep drawing and hope I'll find it one day. Or not.
just a little confession which in nobody interested, but I feel ashamed and need to admit it
Me: What do you mean I wasn’t productive?
My brain: You drew Michael Afton nsfw instead of sleeping.
Me: So?
Every now and then I need to remind myself of this. We all can be that other person.
2019 was the year I finally started using digital as my primary way of drawing rather then traditional. I think I improved a lot throughout the year.
Let's hope 2020 has a lot in store for us and we can all improve
I have so wish you all a Happy New year hope it's a great one🤗🤗💕💕🎉🎉

why are my shitposts viral but my art is barely given any attention? i appreciate the support but i spent five minutes typing this post and five hours drawing those
Working on a Leyendecker study this week! I've been having a hell of a time trying to get the legs right. I'm excited to get to color though!
My motivation has been jumping in and out the window lately and I'm sick of it
Like you have this amazing, WONDERFUL idea that you have the capability to put time into WHY ARE YOU WASTING YOUR TIME ON TUMBLR
hopefully I'll get it back in the next few seconds
I'm so jealous of artists who draw without a sketch, like, how do you do that, how do you have such a clear mental image of what you want to draw. It's also so much faster. Man
I know the artist community can relate (ToT)
Update: this unfortunately aged well
yay my most liked post is one i spent 20 mins on 〒▽〒
Born to draw at an ungodly speed, forced to have really choppy and fake looking speedpaints 😔
