So I’ve said several times that Nia is the Usagi of Blades and I stand by that. So of course that got my addled brain trying to assign senshi to the other Blades characters. Tyril is obviously Ami/Sailor Mercury. Rei/Sailor Mars is Imtura. My MC is Mako/Sailor Jupiter because reasons. And Mal is Mina/Sailor Venus. Threep and Loola are obviously Luna and Artemis. Kade is Naru.

To speak more broadly for a second, I think one of the other large issues (maybe the main one) is that the writers just took on too much for this book. They expanded the world, turned the Light and Shadow dichotomy on its head, introduced several new characters in addition to continuing the stories of the main cast. That’s a lot to cover in 18 chapters even with better pacing. And a couple of the LIs were already getting shafted before all of this. I just really don’t understand many of the decisions they made for book 2. And I think it would’ve been leagues better if they hadn’t tried to take on so much at once, stuck with all of our original party members (no writing Kade, Threep/Loola, and to an extent Aerin out), and fixed the mistakes they made in book 1
