i just wanted to post this to my main simblr because this mod is a GODSEND.  i know have this renewed sense of excitement playing ts3, which i haven’t felt in a long time.

The Sims 3 Smooth Patch 1.0

Yeah, you read correctly, I said Sims 3 :)

Disclaimer: This mod is not an all in one solution for lag; Essential improvements like NRaas mods, Graphics Rules and 4GB patching your game are still recommended, and your mileage may vary depending on your system. Some people don’t see much change, others see a huge improvement.

This mod makes the game’s logic threads run faster, speeding up loading of Buy/Build and CASt, smoother UI elements, smoother CAS. Can also speed up live mode and loading, it’s essentially a general improvement.

Steam/Disk version: SFS / Dropbox

Simply unzip the file into your “The Sims 3/Game/Bin” folder.

Origin version: SFS / Dropbox

For Origin, unzip the file into your “The Sims 3/Game/Bin” folder, and launch the game from “TS3PatchLauncher.exe” every time you want to play.

The launcher will attempt to boot as administrator if possible, to ensure the patch goes through.

You can configure the mod by editing the TS3Patch.txt file with notepad. I left comments in that file on how to set it up if you’re having any issues or if you think your computer is good enough to increase the speed. You can also increase the “Delay” value by around 1000-5000 if the patch is failing.

The changes are most noticeable in CAS: Smoother body sliders, Sim rotation and quicker switching of clothes.

i built a new house for the privettes and can’t upload the old one since i didn’t build it, so i’m doing the next best thing: uploading the rooms i think are the prettiest so they don’t just. disappear forever.

the sunroom is almost completely decorative aside from the sink, potting table, and two chairs tucked in a corner. the gardening pots are filled with non-harvestable plants since nothing of substance seems to grow in such a cramped little space.

- i highly recommend placing this room in a spot that gets lots of light with a glass roof on top.
