Post #90: The pillars of object-oriented programming: Object, Class, Inheritance, Polymorphism, Abstraction and Encapsulation, 2023.
Object-oriented programming is a fundamental concept present in numerous programming languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript, and more. It becomes straightforward once you truly grasp it, and that's precisely what this post aims to help you achieve. So, stop your scrolling for a second and delve into this post for a thorough and clear explanation.
To grasp OOP, let's begin by explaining the name itself: "Object-Oriented." This term signifies that OOP revolves around entities known as "objects."
An object in OOP is any entity that possesses both state and behavior. Consider a dog as an example: it has states such as color, name, and breed, while its behaviors encompass actions like wagging the tail, barking, and eating.
The reason we introduce the concept of objects in programming is to effectively represent real-world entities, a task that cannot be accomplished with conventional variables or arrays.
Now, what about classes? A class is essentially the abstract form of an object. If we take the example of a "dog," the object "Mydog" is a concrete instance, while the class "dog" represents dogs in a more general sense. Think of a class as a blueprint or template from which you can create individual objects.
Now that we've established the fundamentals of objects and classes. OOP is built upon four key principles:
Inheritance: Inheritance occurs when one object inherits all the properties and behaviors of a parent object. It promotes code reusability and facilitates runtime polymorphism.
Polymorphism: Polymorphism entails performing a single task in multiple ways. For instance, it can involve presenting information differently to customers or implementing different shapes like triangles or rectangles.
Abstraction: Abstraction is about concealing internal details while exposing functionality. Consider a phone call; we don't need to understand the intricate inner workings.
Encapsulation: Encapsulation involves bundling code and data into a single unit. Just like a capsule contains various medicines . In a fully encapsulated class (e.g., a Java bean), all data members are private, ensuring data integrity and controlled access.
I remember finding these images that explained these concepts using the 'Squid Game' series, and they are just perfect. So, I'm sharing them here and giving all credit to their owner :

Trying out a new style solely to try and polish some of my object ocs!
This is Alina! She's a major support in a future story me and my dearest friends plan to work on soon! Might make this a little mini-project to show off my side of the character pool!
A little info about her:
Alina is a realist on the surface, but an opportunist at heart. And judging by her shy and closed off personality, that fits her to a tee. But something about her appearance might tell you she's hiding something. In truth, she's a bit of a self-identified inventor. She's built her own wings out of rope and cardboard, that change position with the turning of some self-installed wheels. It's...still in the prototyping phase, but she swears to anyone who asks that she's soared through the sky before...
The snow had begun to lightly dust the ground as Starlight lumbered her way to the gas station. Instinctively, her body sought shelter under the roof.
Just as she was beginning to come to, the sharp cold jolted her conscious. The little night light yipped, throwing her arms around herself.
Great...sleepwalking again. And considering this location, Starlight was floored that nobody stopped her. It was freezing cold, and the anticipated snowstorm was beginning to shroud everything with its soft white essence. Oh well, might as well grab a snack while she's here...
Starlight is a small night light whose constantly tired. Often times when you see her awake, she's looking for her next place to sleep. She will be a minor support in a future story! I'll talk more about her when I draw her again!

I know this is late, I was hospitalized twice while converting this, but I wanted to convert the entirety of the Pastel Pop kit all in one place. I know other converters have gone through doing pieces of it, but I wanted to make a highly create-a-style tool compatible set.
Maybe my set will be the one people enjoy because of create-a-style tool compatibility or something, I don't know... so I want to put it out for all of you even if pieces have been done before. So here it is :)
Converted to Sims 3 and packaged into a .zip file over at SimFileShare. Most pieces have at least one part if not all of it compatible with the create-a-style tool. There's also a collection file included - PLEASE - Tell me if the collection file I included was the incorrect one.
Again, maybe some of my conversions will be preferred, and maybe you'll prefer the conversion from another creator. It's no hard feelings.
SIMFILESHARE
Remember the collection file goes into collections, and packages go into mods.
a little set i’ve had for a while now… the clothes were made a long time ago so they might not be as good quality as my newer clothing, but i still like them :) i hope you enjoy these items too… creds to @keibea for working with me on this, love you jess!

Wizards have always been my favorite supernatural sims. Casting spells is truly awesome, and magic is always so enchanting, right?
I've always wanted some stylish, colorful wands. Finally, I found some nice staffs from TS4 custom accessories , and they work great as wands.
Most of them are from Shining Nikki. The lollipop one is very cute and suitable for child wizards. Wand with frog is perfect for turning unlucky sims into toads🐸. And there are two spears from Genshin Impact. I haven't played that game, but those weapons look really cool. I've edited the textures, so they might look a bit different from the original game.
I've prepared these as Halloween gifts. I hope you like them. Happy Halloween!🎃
