the thing I hate about autism becoming somewhat of an "Everyman disorder" (basically means that it's so common that almost everyone is a lil autistic) is that people genuinely downplay the severity of autistic behaviors especially when it comes to overstimulation, trauma, AND information processing.
for fucks sake it's a developmental DISORDER that will effect your behavior and how you cope with things. yes it's quirky and will sometimes make you obsess over Legos or whatever but also sometimes it will limit your ability to physically speak soooooo.
