i very sparingly used my refrence pose this time ( 💪 ) and i changed up the angle of her head, her legs, body shape, and hands! we're getting better every day folks
the collage was so fun for her too, bc she had two doppelgängers, the best outfits, and is super easy to find blinkies/stamps/graphics for.
her shirt is a Mario odyssey reference, her hair clips are a Nintendo switch refrence, she's holding a 3DS, she has pikachu shorts AND a pokéball tattoo, her necklace is the triforce, and the big chunky bracelet is a color reference to Myro!
speaking of Myro, Mio has a lot of cool dynamics with the other girls! She was the gay awakening to Renée and more notably Karyn (I'm building a universe mwehhehe), and she used to be in a relationship with Kira
Mio's gay awakening was when she was a teenager and accidentally summoned Desdemona. She took one look at her and said 'yeah, women are very hot too'

and ofc, the ever-iconic art of mio done by @silliesunnie ! one of the first fanarts i saw of a crush crush character, and it made me wanna draw them so bad!! your mio is so iconic and i love the scene aspects sm!! (i just realized your mio also has a triforce necklace lmao i did NOT do that on purpose)

I loved drawing her so much!!! I used a base i found online for the pose (I didn't trace, i just heavily referenced it), and i changed the arm pose a bit, and made her bigger. I made her bigger because she's a cheerleader, so I think she'd have a more athletic body type. (totally not like myself, wink wink)
one of the big challenges with her was proportions, specially in her face, arms, and chest. I really need to do some anatomy practice for proportional work.
Karyn, is thankfully just an uncommon spelling of a common name, so she got a few characters in her page. Karen from Mean Girls, obviously. Karen from Frosty the Snowman, since i love the art style. And Karen from Pokémon, since i love putting in nods to Pokémon in my work. She laps got some Y2K print outs, and i managed to use most of them this time!
I really thought hard on what characters to ship with Karyn and why, along with her relationships with other established characters. i feel like my main ship for her is x Mio, or x Sawyer. I'm not sure which, but I'll share both reasons.
- Mio was her awakening+first, she was SUPER embarrassed about the whole situation. (Accidentally shagged Dark One after thinking she was Mio in an emo outfit) and (Myro has tried to steal her when she wears her glittery uniform.)
- Her and Sawyer stretch together, and she loves cheering for her on the Volleyball team.
That's all for me, but hopefully I'll get back into the groove of drawing these ladies more often! It is international women's month!

I'm really proud of the color scheme since I kept it somewhat cohesive (as much as you can with crayola colored pencils), and I love her outfit. I shortened her hair, and made her buns bigger too, as well as including the garter holder thingy from her Easter outfit.
As for the ship list, it is extended, but I ran out of room. The yellow one is Roxxy, btws.
I made her have a long torso and be a bit chubbier because artistic freedom. And also we need more midsize girlies in crush crush.
