happy new oc! :^) This is Fun Solver! (Full Name Fun Solver Showstopper Dinglehopper) They are a fun, cartoon vampire. They are also a detective! And a scientist! They have many interests.

Fun Solver is a jovial, curious, and a bit kooky vamp who is always looking for answers. When they're not researching a new topic, they're out and about solving crimes! They always have a question on their mind, and don't stop for anything. It's hard to hold their attention for long if you need to talk to them. They're usually out the door investigating something mid-conversation!

They work on adventure time rules mostly, in that they subsist on drinking the color from an object and not blood. The item becomes greyscale after they drink from it. They also don't really have a lot of the normal vampire weaknesses. Being a cartoon, crosses don't bother them, and they can eat garlic fine. They can also walk around in the sun, but need an umbrella or large hat to keep in the shade. They won't turn to dust, but it does hurt to be in direct sunlight.

Their glasses are always broken, and they don't necessarily realize they're missing an eye. They also are always changing bowties and earrings! They have a huge variety to pick from! The stains on their coat are also constantly changing, depending on what they're working on.

And yea! I don't have a huge amount of details for this vamp yet, but I love them.

Fun Solver uses any pronouns. But, in order of preference, they use they/he/she.

Edogawa Ranpo moodboard. I watched first season of Bungous Stray Dogs and half of the second one. This boy made me fell in love with him after first time he appeared on a screen.  Also finally after his interest in glass balls out of battles I actually started to think that I have a lot in common with him. Maybe I will make whole series out of characters I associate myself with.

Shut up, just shut up.

Burnin’ x Detective!Female!Reader

Summary: Burnin’ had enough of Y/N’s rants and theories and decided to shut her up… Big mistake.

★☽A/N: I used someone’s list of prompts- Here’s the link: https://mhasstuff.tumblr.com/post/627466964077527040/prompt-list

Make sure to give some love to this person! I asked my friends to pick a prompt, along with character and type of reader.

Disclaimer: Y/N’s quirk: Super Deduction. Her quirk is pretty much Ranpo’s ability in Bungo Stray Dogs, I recommend reading his ability before reading!! The quirk allows her to solve any case easily, but evidence is needed because without them, how could she solve it? The quirk’s results would take a long time, depending on the case. Let’s say a murder case, with the right enough of evidence, the quirk can solve it in 10 minutes, if not the right amount then it would take longer. Hero name: The detective hero: Holmes (After Enola Holmes!).

Extra: Burnin’ real name is Moe Kamiji if some of you haven’t known it yet!

Contents: Angst

[SEASON 5 SPOILERS]

Shut Up, Just Shut Up.

🙤 ̶«̶ ̶̶̶ ̶ ̶ ̶̶̶ ̶«̶ ̶̶̶ ̶»̶ ̶̶̶ ̶ ̶ ̶̶̶ ̶»̶ ̶̶̶ ̶ ̶🙦

You and Burnin’ are from two different agencies, while you work as a detective and she worked for Endeavour. How did both of you meet? It was when she was assigned to a mission and you were one of the detectives who were on the case, you both focused and teamed up and eventually solved the case. Burnin’ is grateful that she was assigned to the mission, or she wouldn’t have met you!

You’re quite a quiet, serious, and cocky person during your cases, but you love chatting away to your awesome girlfriend about your theories and your favourite cases, along with your current cases. Also ranting about them.

She found it endearing and interesting and was very invested in your cases. Though, she can find it annoying whenever she has a bad day. What if she took it too far and she made a huge mistake?

 ̶«̶ ̶̶̶ ̶ ̶ ̶̶̶ ̶«̶ ̶̶̶ ̶»̶ ̶̶̶ ̶ ̶ ̶̶̶ ̶»̶ ̶̶̶ ̶ ̶

[Reader’s POV]

It was one of those days where I had so many cases. Not that I’m complaining!- But- It’s rather tiring but I endured it for years now, I didn’t study in one of the best detective academies for nothing! And even studied at U.A’s management course for 2nd year! I’m definitely not stopping right now!

I woke up bright and early and changed into my detective suit.

Think of a black academia style with a dark brown coat with a mixed of shaded browns suit and you’ll know what it looks like.

I left my room and grabbed my bag containing all of my belongings, my car keys, and my apartment's keys. After leaving my apartment, I locked the door and put my keys in my bag before heading out again.

When I got there, I dropped my bag in the car and took my phone and car keys with me. I put my phone in my pocket and my car keys in my pouch before zipping it back up as I headed to the scene, where I noticed some pro heroes and some other detectives on the scene.

“Have you found the body?” I asked as I approached one of the detectives. He gave me a bewildered expression as he inspected my appearance "You're the top detective? The best? Really?" "Are you questioning my abilities just because of my gender?" I directly questioned him, which startled him. "U-Uhhh, of course not! It's just that-" He looked at the other detectives who were male  "-You're a girl and most of the investigators are male, makes me unsure of your capabilities," he said.

I nodded, as if agreeing to his statement. “Alright then, we’ll see,” I remarked with a smirk.

Two hours later, I solved it with ease. It was much easier and fun than the last case!

“B-But how?!” The man asked with utter disbelief. “It took me months on this case a-and you just solved it in just 2 hours! You were just assigned to this case?!” He said it with a few stutters, still in a state of denial.

“Let’s say.. I have my ways and abilities, sir.” I wasn’t exactly lying, I mean- My quirk is like a detective’s dream quirk and I was given this gift.

The case was rather simple, and in about two hours, my quirk was able to solve it using the current evidence. It appears that the victim's boyfriend was the culprit, he shot her dead while aiming a direct bullseye towards her heart. Why? Thanks to my clever tricks and light manipulation, the killer ended up confessing that he killed the woman just because she had cheated on him. I mean- can’t you believe that? Just killed her just because she cheated?

 ̶«̶ ̶̶̶ ̶ ̶ ̶̶̶ ̶«̶ ̶̶̶ ̶»̶ ̶̶̶ ̶ ̶ ̶̶̶ ̶»̶ ̶̶̶ ̶ ̶

“Bye L/N! Don’t forget to write your report!” A friend detective reminded me while saying goodbye as I got into my car. “Don’t forget to write yours, F/N,” I chuckled softly before driving off.

Just arriving at my girlfriend’s apartment, I parked right in front of her complex building and went up to her home as usual.

“Oh Moe~ I’m home!!” I called out for my girlfriend but there was no response. I called again but had no response again.

Is she still at Endeavour’s agency? She must be, or she would’ve marched right up with me with open arms.

I sighed from utter boredom, I went to my room and dropped them off before lazing on the couch like the couch potato I am. I grabbed the remote to turn on the TV and went ahead to do whatever I wanted on my phone (Pretty much the TV’s purpose was to make the apartment less quiet and less lonely).

Suddenly I heard the door creaking open, I immediately straight sat up to see my beloved girlfriend who just finished work. “Moe!! Welcome back!” I welcomed her with a kind tone, she smiled at me tiredly before yawning loudly with her arms sketched up. I chuckled and walked over to her and hugged her tight which she snuggled into.

I took her hand and dragged her to our room where I had her sit on our bed and I went over and bounced onto the bed and crossed my legs and I looked at her with gleaming eyes, prepared to start my rant.

“N/N… Not now, please,” Burnin’ or should I say Moe, begged with a soft and tired voice but I didn’t bother to listen to her.

“So today I have been working a lot of cases but there was this one I really liked! It was about this one wife, I think her name was Belle or something- She had around 10 husbands! Can you believe that? 10 Husbands!! And she killed them all, my agency managed to catch her latest kill on a guy named Haruki, luckily she’s in jail now. Oh and just today, one of the detectives doubted my abilities, can you believe him??? Such a dick!”

I went on and on and on, I didn’t even notice the tired look on my girlfriend’s face. She was probably having a headache from how loud and fast my voice talked. “Oi Dummy, haha- Please stop, my head is killing me,” she tried asking me to stop but I wasn’t stopping any time soon. “Darling, please stop talking…”

“Shut up, just shut up…” She mumbled but I didn’t listen from the voice of my rants. “Shut up! SHUT UP Y/N!!” She yelled loudly at me with such a harsh voice, I stopped and looked at her with shock in my eyes. “W-Wait- No- Shit– Y/N, love I didn’t mean to yell at you-” She kept on apologising but.. I couldn’t hear her because the sound of ringing in my ears blocked her voice.

I didn’t even realise that I started to tear up, Moe took notice of that and hugged me. I hugged her back so tight with broken sobs. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to yell at you,” Moe softly comforted me as I continued to break into sobs. I managed to mutter the words “I’m sorry” and “I should’ve listened to you,” thankfully she got the message and she rest assured me that it was ok.

I finally got my sobs and tears to stop, I looked up at my girlfriend with puffy eyes. She chuckled and wiped off the leftover tears with her thumb, “darling, please understand that I can’t always hear your rants, especially whenever I get really tired from work,” she softly explained to me while I listened and obeyed. “Thank you Y/N,” she softly smiled at me and held me close to her chest and let us fall to the bed with the bed blankets covering our bodies. Keeping each other warm by our body heat and the blanket.

“Good night, Y/N.”

“Good night, Moe.”

Chapter 1: Five Hours Before Death

"AMELIA!" My boss exclaimed as he walked over to my desk.

"Yes, sir, do you need something?" I say while still looking at my computer.

"Yes, as a matter of fact, I need you to tell me about my agenda for this afternoon," he says urgently while looking at his watch.

"Ah well, sir, you have a one-thirty meeting with one of the board of directors and a six o'clock dinner reservation with the misses" I told my boss while looking up at him.

My boss looks at me and says, "Before I leave for my one-thirty, I need you to come to my office; I need to speak to you about something urgent. Got it."

"Yes, sir, I understand," I say, confirming it.

'What does he want to tell me? Oh, I hope it isn't what I found out a few days ago,' I thought as I looked back at my computer. Two days ago, I found out that my boss: Nicholas Anderson, had an illegal import business up and running. And in turn, he paid the mayor to keep quiet about everything. I shook those thoughts out of my head, focusing on my work.

Time flies by and now it is twelve-thirty. I get up from my desk and head to Mr. Anderson's office on the next floor above. Walking over to the sliver elevator doors, you press one of the buttons on the wall next to the doors. The doors open, and you step in, turning around while the doors shut, pressing the button heading up to the next floor. Hearing the irritating music blaring into the rectangular box, the doors open; indicating, that I am on the next floor.

Walking up to his door, I knock, telling him that I am there. "Come in," Mr. Anderson said. I open the door and walk into his office. Noticing a few pictures of his family here and there, he looked up from his computer.

"Ah, excellent timing Ms. Cameron; I was about to call you up," Mr. Anderson said as he pushed himself up from his black leather chair, making eye contact with you.

"May I ask what this is about; you made it seem crucial," I said looking curious but deep down I know what he may say.

"Uh, yes, I know that you found about my uh business. I must warn you if you tell the authorities or anyone for that matter, you might not get to be forty. Am I clear?" Mr. Anderson says

"Ye-ss, sir-r," I said, fear plastered onto my face.

"Good, then you may leave." I placed my hands onto the arms of the chair, pushed my legs up, feeling the pressure of standing. I leave the room and head back downstairs, thinking of what he was saying.

The day went by faster than the flash himself, a mixture of colors; pinks, oranges, and yellows stating that the sun is setting within the west. Shutting everything down and grabbing my purse and coat. I look down at my watch; which looks like it is from the nineties, and it reveals that it is 8:50 p.m. 'Huh has it been five hours already; who would have thought' I left the gray building and straight to my 1999 navy blue chevy corvette. I slammed the car door closed as I sat down in the driver's seat. I took out my keys from my purse so that I could start the engine. My keys have two keychains attached to them; one of them is a Slytherin crest, the other is a Gryffindor crest. I placed the keys into the ignition and turned it. The engine roared to life, I got strapped in and I reversed back into the parking lot to head the main road.

It did not take long for Amelia to get to her apartment. She pulled into the parking lot outside the complex, making sure she did not touch the curb, she turned off the engine and took the keys out of the ignition. She grabs her purse, slips her hand into door handle to open it. The door opens and she steps out into the crisp cold air. She steps onto the sidewalk and looks back to her car. Her car was shining from the light created by the lamp post. The wind blowing against her skin, the hair on her skin standing up and she gets a shiver crawling down her spine. Amelia did not pay attention to the ever-growing feeling within the pit of her stomach as she started climbing the stairs to the second floor.

I got to the top of the stairs of the second floor. I walked down the hallway a little bit to reach my apartment. It was about five minutes of walking; I reached my apartment: number 4. I looked over to my right and saw the door where my neighbor Minerva Barnes lives. 'She is such a sweet woman' I thought as I grabbed my keys to unlock the door. I got my keys into the lock, and I unlocked the door. As I was stepping into my apartment, I am suddenly overwhelmed with a sense of dread; like I should not have entered the apartment. Due to the lights not working, it gave me an eerie and creepy feeling to the atmosphere of the apartment.

It kept getting stronger as I took off my coat, my shoes, and when I placed my keys into the tray. I turn around and locked the door. I went into the kitchen, grab a small glass from one of the cabinets, and went over to the sink to get water. Placing the glass down, I went to turn the faucet on when everything went black. What I did not know right now was that my time to pass on had come.

Opening my eyes, I squint at the moonlight shining through the teal curtains. I tried to move but could not. I looked down and saw my hands were bounded. I turned my head so that I can see my feet, turns out my feet were also bounded.

"I wouldn't do that if I was you" someone said while standing in the shadows.

"Who are you? Why are doing this?" I asked fear rising within me.

"Did you really think he wouldn't know that you were gathering evidence to give to the police? I mean, Mr. Anderson knew that you knew about the business, so he made an educated guess, and what do you know he was right after all." The figure said while chuckling slightly.

Fear took ahold of me once I realized what he was talking about. You see, I have been gathering up evidence on my boss. Apparently, he has been bribing the mayor to cover up his import business. I look back at the figure wondering who they are.

"Who are you?" I asked as I stare into the shadows.

"That is unimportant lady" he said while pulling something out of his pockets. I couldn't tell what it was, but the feeling grew even more stronger as it was before. The figure then walks out of the shadows. His body was slightly brightened but you couldn't make out his face.

Since you now have a semi-clear view of the man, you notice that he had a Glock 19 9mm Compact. Your grandparents taught you how to hunt and when you were older you went to the shooting range, so you know different types of guns. You watch as he loads ammo into the gun. You look back at the curtains taking in the light of the moon. Hearing footsteps behind you, you realize that the man had walked up to you from behind.

'This is it; this is how I go out, huh' I thought as I felt the gun was placed on the back of my head. I opened my mouth tasting salt, which meant tears. I was so scared I didn't realize that I was crying. The tears were flowing down my face at a rapid pace as the man pulled the trigger.

**BANG**

Amelia fell to the ground as blood flows out of her head. Blood spatters across the lightly colored walls and floors turning them crimson red. The man walks towards an open window. Putting the gun back into his pocket, the man got up onto the windowsill. The man looked back at the body, blood pooling around her and glistening in the moonlight. The wind blowing steadily as the man jumped out of the window and onto the pavement below. Walking away from the crime the man had just committed, he wore a sadistic smile on his face.

The not-so-genius detective

I recently decided to challenge myself to write a non-horror short story.

This is my first time attempting to write a story that is supposed to be funny.

When I told my family about this they asked me if I was sick...

Without any further ado, I would love to hear what people think of this attempt at a comedic story:)

Word count: 2076

TW: Profanity (Doesn't go much further than 'shit' though)

“And this is detective Jayden Falkenstein.”

My boss has his hand on one of the shoulders of some kid, while looking like a proud father.

“That’s your nephew isn’t it?” I remark.

The chief looks astonished: “Oh my, you’re already familiar with him?”

“No.” I answer honestly: “But I feel like there’s something you too have in common.”

The man laughs as if I was giving him a compliment: “Oh well, he’s actually a lot brighter than me.”

“You wouldn’t say.” I scan the child before me with my eyes, there’s just something… terribly annoying about him. His clothes are made of many bright colours that don’t go well together, making me believe that he might be color blind. He looks unprofessional and attracts way too much attention.

His face bears the expression of a terrified child trying to hide his fear, with a look of fake confidence that is way too easily shattered.

There’s just no way that he’s a detective.

“So, sir, is he going to work here with us? Like an intern or something?” Or is he here to be baby-sitted by one of us? I secretly add.

“Oh, no, no, no. We need my dear nephew here to help us solve something.”

“Is he good with computers?” The chief is old, maybe that’s the problem? Was an IT-guy too expensive?

“I told you before, he’s a detective.” The man’s face turns serious, he must have noticed that I’ve been having difficulty with believing him.

His nephew must really want to play detective, there’s no way he went to school for it. Let alone leave with diploma in hand.

“You two are about the same age, so I expect you two to get along.”

“Around the same age?” I ask dumbfounded. I know the chief is getting old, but does he really have such difficulty with discerning 15-year olds with those in their twenties? It’s just impossible, he doesn’t even look close. And his terrible sense of fashion…

That and I don’t believe he would even be allowed to take his first driving lessons, let alone be allowed to step inside a bar.

The kid smiles at me: “I’m twenty-five, you know. I heard that you’re two years older.”

What…?!

I shake my head: “You’re not allowed to lie to a police officer, show me your ID.” I gesture to him to hand it over.

“Officer Coldon!” The chief calls out to me in frustration.

But the ‘detective’ hands me something “Here.” he says in a kind tone.

I take the object not really taking it seriously, until the picture and text reaches my sight.

He really is…

I feel utterly flabbergasted and it takes me a bit to finally find my composure again. While double checking if the ID is real or not.

I cough: “So chief, what’s the plan?”

The man in question looks at me still slightly annoyed: “Well, we got a message from the art gallery asking for help. Someone is threatening to take down the building.”

“I see, have they had the thread on paper or via mail?”

“Paper. The author of the note mentioned something like ‘sneaking inside like a snake’.”

“Can I see it?” I unconsciously reach out, hoping for him to give it to me.

Instead the older man shakes his head: “It’s being analysed by the lab right now. And it’s almost time to go.”

“Already?” The detective asks pouting.

That really can’t be an adult…

Both me and Jaiden get sent back home to change into more formal wear.

I’m lucky that I live quite close by to the gallery itself, I can head straight to the building.

After quickly finding something I believe to be fitting for a guest, I leave my apartment behind and walk to the place the chief wants us to meet up.

It’s in a park close by, I see they were able to get a normal looking van.

Then the other thing that I notice…

As if someone had eaten rainbows and puked them back out…

I frown and try to look away from the almost glowing thing standing before me: “Hell no, you’re not getting in there dressed like that!”

Surprise, surprise… It’s Jaiden standing before me, dressed in a manner even a freezing and naked hobo wouldn’t want. That hobo would most likely prefer to die.

Unconventional, torture to the eye itself. That describes it at best. I can feel the shame… Yet he does not seem to show that at all.

He’s comfortable in that?!

Detective Falkenstein looks at me with a smirk: “Well you’re dressed way too fancy for someone just visiting a museum.”

The audacity.

Suddenly the chief pulls both of us by our collars: “Damnit, both of you, get changed!!”

Both are forced to change on the spot for more casual looking clothes.

As we enter the building I glare at my colleague that did get his way by secretly keeping his God awful looking shirt underneath, slightly better looking clothing.

The chief had decided that the two of us have to partner up. There are others that are doing the same, but are given different routes to walk.

“So, one ticket for an adult and one for a child?” The lady behind the counter asks, taking my thoughts of annoyance to another place.

“I-I’m sorry ma’am, could you repeat that?” I’m pretty sure I heard something wrong.

“One adult.” She nods towards me, speaking almost in slow motion: “And one child.” She nods to Jaiden.

Immediately I shake my head: “That’s a grown man.”

A mischievous smile crosses my colleagues face, one I don’t like the look of.

“Sorry ma’am, my dad is only joking.” He takes my arm and I do my best to resist the urge to slap it away.

The lady behind the counter smiles a little, though clearly with murderous intent when her eyes rest on me.

Then she turns back to Jaiden, a soft smile crosses her face: “Would you like to participate in the scavenger hunt?”

The idiot smiles brightly: “Yes please.”

We get the tickets and I hear the lady whisper to one of her colleagues: “He’s so polite, he really did not get that from his dad.”

The other nods, “Yeah, he probably has a much better mother.”

When we’re finally out of hearing range, I pull the detective closer to me in anger: “That’s illegal!” I whisper-yell: “With our job we need to set a good example!”

Jaiden smiles carefree: “We also aren’t allowed to stand out.”

I hate to admit it, but in a way, just a tiny bit, he has a point. I better talk it out with him later.

Or perhaps I should set him the good example.

Engrossed in the piece of paper that was handed to him earlier, he mumbles: “Hmmm… where should we go next?”

It really isn’t the time to go on a scavenger hunt.

We soon find ourselves inside a long hallway, the walls are neatly lined with many paintings each in slightly different colours and moods.

I can understand why people calls this true art, the way the emotions are showing, the dreams and ideas of their creators all come together in one-

“That one looks super ugly!” My colleague bursts out in a loud laughter.

I look at him threateningly, but he doesn’t seem to notice at all.

“That…” He points at it: “Is truly the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen. No one would want it on a t-shirt. They did call this art right? Is this the collection of the ugliest man-made squirts?”

“Jaiden!” I hiss his name at him to quiet him down, but it only seems to show him that I’m still here.

He turns to me, ignoring the emotions that I’m clearly showing and asks a question in an annoyingly casual way: “So, the scavenger hunt is asking me to give this one a name. I’m thinking of ‘barf in the barn’ or ‘shit cow exploding’…”

He’s asking me.

Damnit, how clueless can a person be?

I take a deep breath to calm myself down: “We should continue to the next.” I try to remind him. There’s no time to be loitering around here, we have a criminal to catch!

I cannot truly see what this painting means, but I bet it has something to do with the painter's hidden anger bursting out. I think to myself as we’ve entered another hallway and a painting has taken my attention.

“Ha, a six-year-old could do better.”

I’m a cop. I remind myself. Murder is a crime.

Though I need to repeat it multiple times in order for it really to seep into my mind.

Continuing on I suddenly notice someone in the crowd acting strange.

A man is staring at a painting, without moving or even blinking at all.

Is he even still breathing?

Carefully as to not get his attention I glance his way a couple of times.

Trying to concentrate, I think about what I should do.

Should I let my other colleagues in- and outside know?

Or should I-

Crunch…

Crunch……

The sound of someone eating right next to me takes me out of my train of thought.

Guess who it is…

Jaiden…

Again.

Yep. That’s right…

He’s eating a bag of chips.

I’m thinking of ripping the thing out of his hands, but he walks off just before I’m able to.

You’re not allowed to eat inside this part of the gallery! I want to yell, but he’s already stepping towards the man I’m suspicious of.

I can see him say something to the suspect and then hold up his bag of potato chips.

The suspect is taken out of his trance and smiles, accepting the offer and taking some of the chips from the bag.

The detective comes back to me: “You know officer Coldon, not everyone is a suspect. That man was simply entranced by the painting. It isn’t pretty, the painting, but to him it feels like something special.”

I would love to be allowed to hit this kid over the head.

I remain silent, trying to show in this way that I still don’t agree.

“We should go this way.”

“Why?” I ask.

Did he suddenly have a good idea?

“The scavenger hunt continues down that hall.”

I follow him, tired out by my own anger and frustration.

I want to be part of what saves this gallery, but now I’m unsure if I can really do it.

“This has to be it!” Jayden suddenly calls out.

“Please lower your voice…” I feel too tired to lecture him again.

He picks up a random looking, empty piece of paper.

“This piece of paper must have another message… like with invisible ink.”

I swear I’m done with this guy.

“There’s no way…” I say, knowing that it’s clearly bull.

Not paying attention, while taking a few steps back, he accidentally bumps into someone.

“Ah, I’m sorry.” He immediately apologizes.

I guess he does have basic manners.

“Don’t worry, it doesn't matter.” The man he walked into answers in a kind tone: “It still happens to me from time to time as well.”

“Still I’m really sorry.”

Are these two going to keep doing this or are they finally going to stop and move on?

We still have to catch someone.

“Oh right, sir, do you happen to have a lighter?” Jayden quickly asks: “I need it for the scavenger hunt.” He points at the piece of completely ordinary paper.

“Oh yeah, I have one.” The man starts digging through his pockets: “Please do return it to me.”

“Thank you.” My babysitting job answers politely.

Carefully he lets the small flame from the dark metal object lick the paper.

As his face turns sour he finally turns off the lighter.

The paper really was just a piece of random paper.

Before returning it, he takes a quick glance at the small object in his hand. For a moment it looks like something clicked inside his mind.

With a smile on his face he returns the lighter to its owner.

“Thank you for letting me borrow this. Unfortunately it seems like this isn’t part of the scavenger hunt.” He hangs his head down showing rather theatrically his frustration.

“I see, well kid, I hope you find it.” The man takes the lighter and calmly walks away.

As the man has gone around the corner, Jayden suddenly jumps and pulls my sleeve: “That’s him!” He stops himself just in time from yelling: “The snake mentioned in the letter, it’s on the lighter! His means of destroying this place is by fire.”

Too tired to struggle, I press against my hidden earpiece and call for backup, giving everyone the best description I can of the suspect.

As we’re finally called back, the chief tells us that our suspects fingerprints matched that of the letter that was sent.

But a better investigation and court will be held later to find out what really happened.

I glance at my colleague.

I guess he might have his charms, solving a case might not entirely be beyond him…

Though dumb luck did most of the job.

But I still can’t get over his horrible sense of fashion!
