Yiga slashed, their blades cutting through the air like it was nothing more then paper. Guards yelled, some fought against the horde of ninjas, despertely protecting their princess.
Zelda watched in horror at the sight of the solidrrs fighting. A gentle hand came to her shoulder, shoving her back as a yiga suddenly appeared in front of her. She glanced up, seeing Link drawing his sword and slashing at the yiga.
Zelda gasped as the yiga cut across the hero, leaving blood staining through his clothes. He slashed the yiga down, and the yiga disappeared in a puff of smoke. Leaving behind a handful of rupees and bananas in their wake. Link bent down, offering his hand to her and Zelda took it.
Zelda offered to help support Link, but he refused. She stared at the castle as the yiga swarmed it, as she and Link ran.
Collasping, she stared at the ground in front of her, glancing up, she stared at Link sorrowfully. She could feel sobs forming in her throat. They were painful and raw.
“Do not worry.” Link said, his voice confident as he clasped his hands between hers. “Why?”

“Because I am here.” Link whispered quietly. Holding Zelda tightly in his grasp.
Wisps of malice floated through the air and faded. The bow of light felt heavy in the hero’s hands. His sword and hylian sheild clung to his back. He heard his horse huff, her white coat shimmering in the rising sun.
Zelda breathed in quietly, and together they stood up. Both, together again. They rose, and held each other tightly.
After all, its been 100 years.
"Will you remember me?" Sun whispered as she looked down at the surface.
"Who will help you if I'm not around?" Dot smiled, holding a flower crown between her hands.
"I'm sorry I couldn't help you." Lullaby sighed, staring at the wall.
"I wish I could have done more." Dusk paced, looking out the window as she passed it.
"I'm sorry you had to lose so much." Fable sighed, fiddling with a bracelet on her arm.
"Can you continue?" Artemis wondered, worry clear in her expression.
"You can make it?" Dawn asked.
"Will you be okay?" Aurora worried.
"Can we do this?" Tetra frowned, staring at the new land before her.
"Will we win?" Flora watched the islands slowly rise.
Will we be okay? They wondered.
I'm certain we will be. You say in confidence.
I'm sorry. They reply.
things will get better You reply.
We can't keep looking back.

"Is it done?"
"No, Your Majesty... it has only begun."
He sat on the throne, watching guards rush around. They hurried with purpose, intent. Ready to fight the guardians that came to their doorstep.
Blasts of explosions rocked the palace, the king raised his spear. Ready to defend his home.
Zelda, I'm sorry my dear daughter. I could not protect you. Please Link, I pray that you can save my child. He thought, as the doors were blasted open and malice started to craw inside. Guardians rushed in and blasted everything. Monsters swarmed like a pack.
It was only them. A king and a god.
Standing across in battle. You know the outcome perhaps, and so did the king. He prayed for the hero, wielder of the master sword, so he may protect his daughter.
He protected his castle, and ultimately, died within.
But it would not end. His courage and confidence allowed him to await for you, dear hero.
He has protected this land for a hundred years. Waiting until you awoke in that small room.
The malice knew, once they saw the girl. She had awakened. It knew it had to get rid of the dangers. The champions, the king, the guards.
So it did. It didn't expect for them to continue protecting the land, however.
It was its ultimate downfall.

Dear Zelda,
Lynels are scary. Ones with shock arrows even moreso.
Link paused, touching his writing untinseal to his chin as he thought what to say. He hummed, glancing up at the cackling campfire that spat sparks into the wind.
I met an odd man. He likes monsters. I think he insulted me by saying I smelled like a hindox, but I have no clue.
I still don't know anything. I can't remember much. Hopefully when your free, you could help me? I like my new life, but I also want some help to recall my previous.
Link sighed, glancing at the goddesses statue next to him. He was in Tarry Town, writing a letter to a princess trapped in a castle.
"Hey Link!" Hudson called out, stopping and starting to sit down next to Link as he wrote.
Link smiled, meeting Hudson's eyes for a moment.
"What are you up too?" He asked, glancing at the piece of paper he was scratching on.
A letter to a friend of mine. I haven't seen them in a long time. I was just thinking of what to say to them. Link signed, ink splattering his fingers.
"Do they ever write back? Maybe you could ask some questions about them. Like maybe, 'anything new happening with you?' or 'What have you been up to?'" Hudson explained.
Link sighed. I would, but I doubt I would get a response back. They've been busy a lot of the time. Plus, I doubt they even could respond.
"Oh," Hudson cleared his throat. "Maybe then, you could take about something you enjoyed? Like you saw a beautiful sunrise the other day or you survived a monster attack?"
Link nodded thoughtfully, scratching the back of his neck as he pondered Hudson's words.
"Hudson! Come on its almost midnight!" Rhondson called from Hudson and her shared house.
"Well, I have to go to sleep. I wish you luck in your writing!" Hudson called, getting up and strolling over to Rhondson.
Link smiled, watching the married duo retire into their house. He turned his attention back to his paper.
Let me tell you about this town, its called Tarry Town...

I’m glad Zelda is finally getting a game, the game is a really good start for Zelda’s career as the hero and for link as the damsel.
I wanted to do a small piece not dragon related since that’s all I’ve been working on recently, which is why I haven’t posted. But ya I wanted to do something small and quick just for the fun and I haven’t drawn something Zelda related in a while so yk, I figured why not something of the new game.

Should I post my Legend of Zelda AU here? I enjoy seeing and reading the comics of other Zelda AU’s such as @linkeduniverse and @linked-maze. I love the idea of the different Links meeting each other and the chaos that would unfold as a result. I’m not that good of a drawer, so if I do it might just be a sketch of one of the Links I chose to be in my AU. I have taken inspiration from both Linked Maze and Linked Universe for my characters, I really love those two AUs. I’m not sure what to call it yet but I’m leaning towards the name “Linked Together”. If there is an AU by that name already, please let me know so I can rename mine.

I feel so stupid. I just realised why Zelda in botw doesn't immediately gain her power.
It's because she wants the power and not realising she also needs the knowledge/wisdom to GAIN the power.
Like how Mipha was trying to tell her how her own powers awakened but got interrupted by Calamity Ganon - directly stopping her from getting the knowledge on how to get her power in a similar way.
Or how her father (fuck you Rhoam you oversized bitch. you knock-off Santa Claus I hope someone sprays you with holy water like a misbehaving cat) limits her study of the Sheikah tech, which has been seen to go hand-in-hand with Hylia's power.

Do you know how we have Adams apple's and Achilles heels and tendons yeah?
I literally just realised that because greek gods/mythology and Christianity doesn't exist in Hyrule, they won't refer to these as the names we call them
hold on I'm an idiot let me try to put it into words like I'm not an idiot (which I am)
Would they call things like Achilles heels/tendons like Farore/Naydra/Din/Hylia's heel/tendons? Or do you think that they would have other names from them (like referring to scientific names) since of the ties to greek myth that our names for them have.

Instead of saying "Jesus Christ" would they say "Zelda"? Since there is no jesus in Zelda (no Christian jesus) since like Zelda could be a stand in for being jesus since she is both Zelda and hylia, like how jesus is both jesus and god?
