he's sorry that he doesn't can't join the non-dark side (i'm not willing to call it the good side let's bfr it was sometimes darker than the "dark" side).
it's not that he hates the people that he's supposedly hates. it's just that he can't unlearn the things that he's been told is his future as a slytherin. he hates the fact that he's a part of the people who's "stuck in the past" and "can't undo past mistakes" but at the same time, he hates those who changed.
he hates that pandora decided to join the non-dark side and although she doesn't say it out loud, he knows that that side thinks that people like him are cowards. leave it to the gryffindors to point out when people are picking the safe option.
he hated regulus for sacrificing himself. how could he be so selfish as to leave him and evan alone? he just had to be brave at the last moment. out of all the things he could've given away, it was his life.
in azkaban, he thinks and thinks and thinks about those two sides and how they weren't all that different. how both he and sirius ended up at the same place for the same reason. they dared to hope.
the moment his father had said that evan was dead, all the hope and that small glimmer of light in him vanished. just. gone. and to think that he's got the better situation compared to sirius. atleast his friends don't hate his guts.
every night that's where he goes. back to the times where his arm doesn't feel like a 10 ton weight.

- He is terrified of hot concrete, once Sirius told him his shoes would melt and it would melt his feet as well and he didn’t believe him and still went walking on in, and the bottoms of his shoes did, infact, melt and he was terrified his feet would melt, still won’t walk on it.
Pandora Rosier/Lovegood:
- When she was 8 she snuck out of her bedroom, when she was supposed to be sleeping, and went outside to try and get a pet snail, didn’t find one, but found a bird instead and, somehow, managed to get it and she brought it back it side and slept with it still in her hands, and out of fear the bird had a heart attack, and she made everyone be there for the funeral and is still afraid of people being near or too close to birds.
Evan Rosier:
- Was out on a walk with a babysitter and Pandora went they were 6 and decided he wanted to try climb the tree with Pandora, but Pandora said he was too little (because she was bigger then him as a baby) but he ignored her and got the babysitter to help him. Then Pandora said that he will fall into the hole in the tree (the squirrel home) and he’ll get stuck in there, and scare the squirrels. The babysitter laughed and brought them back inside and now he will never climb a tree with a squirrel home in it, even though he won’t fit in the holes.
Barty crouch Jr:
- A rude maid once told him he couldn’t have honey in his tea while he was sick, because she was too lazy to go get it but she lied and told him, honey doesn’t go off and it will stay inside of him forever and if it mixes with the acid in his stomach he’ll explode. Then he asked his father if honey goes off and he said “no, of course it doesn’t.”, so now he hates honey.

James was really drunk at a party he stumbled to the bathroom to be greeted by Mary, Marlene and Lily. Marlene and Mary, instantly aware of why he’s there, go over and help he get to the toilet to vomit. Lily stands there confused why they’re helping James. Like James “asshole pure-blood” Potter?? Marlene gives out to James while he tries to sleep on the toilet, so she tells him to start talking. He rambles about how he wants to go help Pete cause he left him alone of the sofa out there, how he has to help Sirius and Remus talk because they’re too nervous to do it by themselves, how he has to give advice to Dorcas because she doesn’t know what’s the best alcohol they have, how Pandora lost her shoes and he has to help her, how Barty is overwhelmed and how he has to get him out, that Evan wants weed and he was supposed to get some for him, and how he was supposed to do and help so many people. Mary and Marlene nodding along and rubbing his back and holding his hand like it’s normal?? Lily stands there watching James potter tell them how he doesn’t have time to be sick cause there’s people who need help more.
Lily realises maybe he’s different.

Pandora Rosier had always loved Regulus Black. Was always going to love him.
It was a fact, woven into the very fabric of the universe. Written into the same stars they had spent so many nights looking at together, back when life had been simpler.
It was one of the only things pandora was sure of. Juat as she knew that the sky was blue and the grass was green, she knew that she loved Regulus Black.
He was her best friend, but more than that, he was her brother.
Her protector, her rock, her person.
Pandora did not want to live in a world without Regulus. She never thought she would have to. Until suddenly, she did.
Because Regulus was gone. He was gone and their was nothing she could do about it.
Regulus’s last letter to Pandora:
Min cadeau,
You are the only person I can trust. I discovered the dark lords secret, just like I always said I would. If you are reading this, I am likely dead, and my plan worked. I’m so sorry Pandora. You were always my favourite, but you probably already know that, didn’t you? You are the most beautiful thing that ever happened to me, and I’m so grateful to have been able to love you and be your brother for all these years. And I shall continue to love you from the night sky, until the last star burns out. I really do wish I could have told you this in person, but here we are. I’ll miss you forever. And tell my goddaughter that I will always be there for her - that I’ll always be her uncle Regulus , as she will always be my little Luna. Goodbye little sister.

I really wanna write a fic about regulus and Pandora’s friendship throughout their lives, starting before Hogwarts and ending with Pandora’s death so if anyone has any ideas or headcannons about them I really wanna hear themmm!!

Headcannons for the family lives of each marauders (please be reminded these are my headcannons and any hate will cause an argument from me 🫶)
James: happy loving parents but not all the time, families always have flaws the potters are just better at hiding them. He would argue with his dad a lot over stupid things but James never hated his dad
Sirius + regulus: of course the abusive Walburga and Orion BUT I like to think that when they were younger Walburga was kinder to them but was then placed under the imperious curse by Orion to keep her in line, and to discipline there children better
Peter: BIG family, kind of an opposite Weasley family, five sister and Peter is the only boy. I like to headcannon on of his sisters was deaf and non magic so she was less loved by her family but her and Peter were reallly close. Peter is the middle child, three older, two younger. His father is not in the picture, left when Peter was 7.
Remus: farm family, literally grew up on a farm and had like two horses, cows and chickens. His dad worked all the time and his mum was stayed home and took care of the animals. Remus was closer to his mum because he barely saw his dad but in the 6th year she got six and the year after they graduated she passed.
Marlene: child of divorce, (She jokes about it a lot) parents divorced on good terms but don’t keep them in the same room for long because they will argue. Has two older brothers that raised her when he parents were fighting
Mary: raised by her dad, only child, her mother passed away and severe complications during the pregnancy and birth. Her dad always would treat her like a princess but they did not grow up rich, her father balanced two jobs and taking care of Mary. He got a lot of help from grandma MacDonald
Lily: her and petunia were close, REALLY close and were all aware of them splitting apart after Lily was sent to Hogwarts. But I like to think they didn’t just, minimise contact. Petunia despised her so much that as soon as she could cut Lily out completely, that’s why she hated Harry so much. But deep down she still loved her sister,
Barty: absolutely despised his dad. (In a muggle au I enjoy him having severe religious trauma and that’s why he despised his dad so much, probs will write some short about this), his mum was completely corrupted by his dad and always listened and believed everything he said. Barty still loved his mum, he knew that she wasn’t really like that, it’s his dad’s fault.
Evan + Pandora: parents were very together but Pandora was raised as a princess, learning how to be a good housewife and a perfect mother, while Evan learned the “manlier stuff” (which I cannot think of right now so use your imagination). The Two grew up very differently from eachother, so they never had a strong relationship, but they learned bro be siblings over time
Dorcas: another child of divorce, probably why Marlene and her clicked so well. The only difference is that Dorcas parents divorced when she was really young while Marlene was older. Dorcas always favoured her dad over her mum but they both were severly flawed.
“Marlene,” Dorcas pleaded “my friends there-“
“Disgusting pieces of shit!” Marlene said, flinging around to see Dorcas’s tear stained face.
Marlene had just come from Dorcas’s dorm, a weird interaction had happened between her and Pandora and she was pissed.
“Don’t you realise how weird that is!” Marlene spat,
“I thought you knew Pandora wasn’t normal!” Dorcas chuckled a bit, trying to keep herself from crying more
“I’m sorry, I thought she just had her head in the clouds a bit!” Marlene mocked “she just told me I how I was gonna die”
Dorcas knew that she wasn’t going to be convincing Marlene to not think about it. Marlene would think about it, a lot. All the time.
“She just does that!” Dorcas tries to explained, Marlene scoffed
“She said my closest friend would betray me, killing my Family in the process! What kinda of bullshit is that” Marlene shouted,
“I’m sorry! She- she just-“ Dorcas stuttered, unable to find the words. Pandora didn’t mean to, she never meant to. Dorcas knew that, Marlene didn’t.
Dorcas knew Marlene wouldn’t understand, Marlene had in fact boasted many times that divination was a useless subject. No one could actually see into the future.
Whether that’s true or not depends on if regulus did really die at only 18. Dorcas’s friends had learned to look past there apparent deaths, but Marlene wouldn’t know how to.
“Christ Dorcas” Marlene finally said, “you know I love you but, Jesus your friends are weird”
“Everyone knows Pandora is weird!” Dorcas groaned,
“But this is a new level of weird!” Marlene sighed, “Christ, just give me some space right now while I think about the fact that I’m going to die young!” Marlene stomped off, leaving Dorcas standing in the hallway.
She was trapped, trapped in the thought that Marlene might just break up with her. She didn’t even hear the footsteps come up behind her, but then again no one hears her footsteps.
“I didn’t mean to” a small whisper said, Dorcas jumped. She snapped her head to see a ghostly figure next to her, even with the tan skin.
“I’m sorry Pandora, I know it’s not your fault” Dorcas said, slowly embracing Pandora. Turning her away and back to the dungeons.
“I really didn’t mean to, it was a mistake. I tried not to slip I really tried!” Pandora pleaded,
“Shush dear, I know it’s not your fault”
I wrote a Jegulus fanfiction for my English short story thinking my teacher wouldn’t know what the marauders were but she came up to me giving me feedback and said “maybe this is just my fanfiction brain” and then she said “maybe discuss some of there years at Hogwarts” and I genuinely have no idea what I felt in my moment but afterwards I could not stop giggling
