God I will never not be fascinated by Candybats. In any other fandom it would probably be a decently well known rarepair AT BEST but instead it’s THE Spooky Month ship. This is mainly because of a variety of combining factors (the writing on the wall, Kevin being a fan favorite that people REALLY wanted a ship for, Streber being an accidental fan favorite and massive angst magnet, Spooky Month having limited ship options, both being twinks with opposing energies) but god it genuinely is one of the most interesting case studies of shipping being a fucking wild card I’ve ever seen. Because like. Yeah Kevin and Streber have OTHER ships that are known like Jawbreaker and Gothicbats. But Candybats is just more…compelling to study. Not even saying it’s a better ship but the circumstances around it make it so unique to me. I genuinely cannot stress how interesting it is to me that something like this can happen. It is a ship born purely out of fanon. And yet it is the most popular ship in the fandom. All three of the ships that arguably compete for that title, Goldenlavender, Smokeydonuts and arguably Bitterpopcorn have like…canon relationships to go off of. But Sr Pelo has actively stated Kevin and Streber don’t know each other. Yet that didn’t stop fanon. Can anyone hear me. I’m going insane.

Been thinking about combining two of my Interests into an AU. These interests being Spooky Month and Ben 10.
What I’m imagining is that Radford somehow finds an Omnitrix and uses it to try and protect the town.
mainly gonna be using Canon/Not-Canon Aliens from the Anur Transyl System. For the whole Halloween Monster vibe! (These Fan-Made Aliens belong to/were inspired by The Ink Tank/5YL on YouTube.)
I just think it would be silly to have the Spooky Month cast having to deal with not only a cult running around, but aliens/monsters as well.
like imagine his Uncle John, who is the sheriff, having to investigate reports about a ‘werewolf chasing after two thieves’ or ‘a ghost having a fist fight with a demon’. And having no clue that his nephew is involved.
imaging Robert, his friends, Susie, Skid, and Pump knowing about his secret identities and going on mini adventures with him. I feel like Radford would get mobbed by Skid & Pump CONSTANTLY asking him to transform into one of his ‘Cool Spooky Aliens for Spooky Month!’ While he’s at work or something.
Imagine a Mutated Kevin arc, but with Kevin (Spooky Month) instead of Kevin (Ben 10). A fall out between two close friends after an accident with the omnitrix, that would later lead to reconciliation and an even stronger friendship.
Imagine a GhostFreak arc where Radford’s Ectonurite form starts making him act weirdly violent and cruel.
The Possibilities….
