Along waited Part6! Thanks to @thebadbatch for helping me on this one! They are an amazing writer! Please check out their blog!
Crosshair just laid there in his bed thinking of a plan to get his love back to get, he knew it wasn’t going to be simple especially if they convince him to stay with them instead of being somewhere where he belongs. He remembers when y/n first joined his squad, he was so new to it all, it was kinda funny. He would keep up with them but y/n had a hard time with they’re tactics,
It was amazing seeing him becoming the medic he is today. He honestly was hoping to see him break like the other medics but was pleasantly surprised when he saw y/n carrying hunter off the battle field to somewhere safe. He sometimes thinks that’s when he realizes that he loves him because after the mission he asked him out. At first they didn’t tell the Bach, that was until wrecker walked in on them having an private moment, he would admit that he was pretty mad at his brother for ruining the moment but it made it a little bit better seeing y/n trying to hide his face, he never knew that y/n could get so red. He shakes his head he needs to make a plan maybe he should…go back to them…well at least make them think that he is then he can get him alone. He could even get his team back just have to fix they’re chips and keep him in command. He would have to convince them, no it would be easier to rush them to ambush them. Take them all back they would be useful, they will understand later like he did. Once he gains their trust he could lead them into a trap, and get they chips enhanced or replaced, then he doesn’t have to worry about them taking y/n and he wouldn’t have to worry about his brothers.
Crosshair gets up, looking for his armor , his old armor. He couldn’t get rid of it, a part of him wishes that he would be able to wear it again even though the the imperial armor was much more high tech but he prefers his own armor.
It felt like home to him and gave him back his old sense of purpose. A heavy sigh left his chest as he finally laid eyes on his Original armour, fingertips scraping against the surface of the red and black material. That's where he used to belong and who he used to be! So many memories were placed within them, especially his helmet. Gently picking it up, he held his treasured helmet in his hands all whilst blowing off a layer of clust. Has it really been that long since he fought alongside his brothers? Before they had abandoned him and left him to the Empire? He guessed so. Placing it back against the crate he moved away and practically threw himself against his bunk feeling tears prick at his eyes. Everything had been so intense lately and all that was on his mind was forming a plan to get y/n back. There was only one plan circulating in his mind though, and that was to return to his brothers and work from the inside to get y/n and himself back to the Empire. Gazing toward his communication device he allowed former memories to fill his head of what life used to be like with his brothers. He used to feel wanted and loved but not anymore, he felt empty. Y/n was the only one to keep him feeling wanted, the only one who gave him purpose. He had to get him back, and that begins now. Standing, Crosshair activated his old comm device amongst his armour and spoke into it a very clear message.
"We meet on Ord Mantell in two days, I want to go home." He ended the communication and grabbed his rifle to prepare him for this journey back home. This would be worth it, this is something he had to do. This was for his love.
A rapid beeping alerted Tech as he spun around in his pilot seat away from Echo, activating the communication in one swift movement.
"We meet on Ord Mantell in two days, I want to go home." Tech didn't speak, he just turned to face Echo again once the communication ended completely speechless.
"T-that was Crosshair?" Echo asked, eyes glued to where the hologram was of Crosshair. It almost felt too good to be true, was their brother really coming home?
"I can confirm it was, but I can't deny if it's a trap or not." He took a shaky breath inwards, "We need to signal the others." With a swift nod of confirmation, Echo activated his own communication device to summon both Wrecker and Hunter back to the ship due to a message waiting for them - it was Crosshair. Some time had passed since they alerted their two brothers and finally Hunter ran up the ramp and straight into the cockpit.
"Show me the message now." The message played once again, the words of their brother lingering in the air. Hunter just leaned against one of the chairs, sighing and putting a hand against his head. "Is that real? Is he being serious?" He paused in thought for a moment, "Or is he just trying to kill us again?" Tech typed a little in his datapad before shaking his head and turning off the hologram.
"We have no reason to believe it's a trap since he was alone and activated his old armour. Maybe he truly has changed?" Y/n soon walked in, rubbing his eyes and gazing at the faces of distress in the cockpit.
"Hey what's going on?" They just gave you a soft smile before gazing back at the hologram.
"It's Crosshair - he wants to come home."
